< Job 40 >

1 Intuloy ni Yahweh ti nakisarita kenni Job; kinunana;
And Jehovah doth answer Job, and saith: —
2 “Rumbeng kadi a ti siasinoman nga agtarigagay a mangbabalaw ket padasenna nga aturen ti Mannakabalin-amin? Ti makisinsinnupiat iti Dios, bay-am isuna a sumungbat.”
Is the striver with the Mighty instructed? The reprover of God, let him answer it.
3 Ket simmungbat ni Job kenni Yahweh ket kinunana,
And Job answereth Jehovah, and saith: —
4 “Kitaem, awan ti pategko; kasanoka a masungbatan? Iyappotko ti imak iti ngiwatko.
Lo, I have been vile, What do I return to Thee? My hand I have placed on my mouth.
5 Nagsaoak iti naminsan, ket saanakon a sumungbat; kinapudnona, namindua, ngem saankon nga ituloy pay.”
Once I have spoken, and I answer not, And twice, and I add not.
6 Kalpasanna, simmungbat ni Yahweh kenni Job manipud iti nadawel a bagio, kinunana,
And Jehovah answereth Job out of the whirlwind, and saith: —
7 “Ita barikesam dagiti lumom a kas maysa a lalaki, ta agsaludsodak kenka, ket masapul a sungbatannak.
Gird, I pray thee, as a man, thy loins, I ask thee, and cause thou Me to know.
8 Pudno kadi nga ibagam a saanak a nalinteg? Pabasolennak kadi tapno maibagam a hustoka?
Dost thou also make void My judgment? Dost thou condemn Me, That thou mayest be righteous?
9 Addaanka kadi iti takiag a kas iti Dios? Mapaggurruodmo kadi babaen iti timek a kas kekuana?
And an arm like God hast thou? And with a voice like Him dost thou thunder?
10 Ita, agkaweska iti kinadayag ken kinatakneng; arkosam ta bagim iti dayaw ken kinatan-ok.
Put on, I pray thee, excellency and loftiness, Yea, honour and beauty put on.
11 Iwarasmo ti nalabes a pungtotmo; kitaem ti tunggal maysa a napalangguad ket ipababam isuna.
Scatter abroad the wrath of thine anger, And see every proud one, and make him low.
12 Kitaem ti tunggal maysa a napalangguad ket ipababam isuna; ipayatmo dagiti nadangkes a tattao iti pagtaktakderanda.
See every proud one — humble him, And tread down the wicked in their place.
13 Ikalim ida a sangsangkamaysa iti daga; ibaludmo dagiti rupada iti nalimed a disso.
Hide them in the dust together, Their faces bind in secret.
14 Ket, bigbigekto met a kabaelannaka nga isalakan ti bukodmo a makannawan nga ima.
And even I — I do praise thee, For thy right hand giveth salvation to thee.
15 Kitaem ita ti behemot, a pinarsuak a kas ti panangparsuak kenka; mangmangan daytoy iti ruot a kas iti baka.
Lo, I pray thee, Behemoth, that I made with thee: Grass as an ox he eateth.
16 Ita kitaem, ti pigsana ket adda kadagiti lumona; ti bilegna ket adda iti piskel ti tianna.
Lo, I pray thee, his power [is] in his loins, And his strength in the muscles of his belly.
17 Ikutkutina ti ipusna a kas iti maysa a sedro, nagsisilpo dagiti piskel ti luppona.
He doth bend his tail as a cedar, The sinews of his thighs are wrapped together,
18 Dagiti tulangna ket kasla kadagiti tubo a bronse; dagiti gurongna ket kasla kadagiti bareta a landok.
His bones [are] tubes of brass, His bones [are] as a bar of iron.
19 Isuna ti pangulo dagiti pinarsua ti Dios. Ti Dios laeng, a nagparsua kenkuana, ti makaparmek kenkuana.
He [is] a beginning of the ways of God, His Maker bringeth nigh his sword;
20 Ta ipapaayan isuna dagiti turod iti taraon; agay-ayam iti asideg dagiti narungsot nga ayup.
For food do mountains bear for him, And all the beasts of the field play there.
21 Agid-idda isuna iti sirok dagiti mula a lotus iti salinong dagiti runo, kadagiti ban-aw.
Under shades he lieth down, In a secret place of reed and mire.
22 Linlinungan isuna dagiti mula a lotus; adda iti aglawlawna dagiti kayo a karawawe kadagiti waig.
Cover him do shades, [with] their shadow, Cover him do willows of the brook.
23 Kitaem, no layusen dagiti ti karayan ti pantarna, saan isuna nga agbuteng; natalek isuna, uray no dumakkel ti danum ti karayan Jordan aggingga iti sungona.
Lo, a flood oppresseth — he doth not haste, He is confident though Jordan Doth come forth unto his mouth.
24 Adda kadi makatiliw kenkuana babaen iti kawit, wenno mangtaldeng iti agongna babaen iti silo?
Before his eyes doth [one] take him, With snares doth [one] pierce the nose?
