< Job 24 >
1 Apay a saan nga ikeddeng ti Mannakabalin-amin dagiti tiempo para iti panangukom kadagiti nadangkes a tattao? Apay a saan a makita dagiti napudno iti Dios ti iyuumay dagiti aldaw a panangukomna?
“(Why does Almighty [God] not set a time when he will judge [evil people]?/I do not understand why Almighty [God does] not set a time when he will judge [evil people].) [RHQ] Those who know him never [RHQ] see him do that!
2 Adda dagiti nadangkes a tattao nga agiyakar kadagiti pagilasinan ti beddeng; adda dagiti nadangkes a tattao nga agagaw kadagiti arban ket ikabilda kadagiti bukodda a pagpaaraban.
[Some evil people] remove the markers of boundaries of [other people’s] land, [in order to steal their land]; they seize/steal [other people’s] sheep and put them in their own pastures.
3 Ipanawda ti asno dagiti awanan ti amma; Alaenda ti kalakian a baka ti balo a kas pammatalged.
[Some] (take away/steal) the donkeys that belong to orphans, and they take widow’s oxen to guarantee that the widows will pay back the money that they loaned to those widows.
4 Pilitenda a paglisien dagiti agkasapulan a tattao kadagiti pagnaanda; ilemmengan ida amin dagiti napanglaw a tattao iti daga.
[Some] shove poor people off the road (OR, prevent poor people from (obtaining their rights/being treated justly)), and they force poor people to find places to hide from them.
5 Kitaenyo, rummuar dagitoy a napanglaw a tattao a mapan iti trabahoda a kasla kadagiti atap nga asno iti let-ang, nga agbirbiruk a naimbag iti makan; nalabit nga ipaayan ida ti Araba iti taraon para kadagiti annakda.
The result is that poor people have to search for food in the desert like wild donkeys do.
6 Agapit dagiti napanglaw a tattao iti rabii kadagiti taltalon dagiti sabali a tattao; agtudtudda kadagiti ubas manipud iti nagapitan dagiti nadangkes a tattao.
The poor people harvest left-over grain in other people’s fields, and gather grapes from vineyards that belong to wicked men.
7 Agiddada a lamo-lamo iti agpatpatnag nga awanan ti pagan- anay; awan ti pagabbongda iti lammiis.
During the night they have nothing to cover their bodies, nothing to keep them warm.
8 Mabasbasada kadagiti arbis dagiti bantay; agiddada iti abay dagiti dadakkel a bato gapu ta awan ti paglinonganda.
When it rains on the mountains, the poor people become very wet, so they huddle under the rock ledges to be protected [from the rain].
9 Adda dagiti nadangkes a tattao nga agagaw kadagiti ulila manipud iti barukong dagiti innada, ken nadangkes a tattao nga agala kadagiti annak a kas pammatalged manipud kadagiti napanglaw a tattao.
[Some evil men] snatch infants away from their widowed mothers [SYN], and they say ‘I will return your babies to you when you repay the money that I lent to you.’
10 Ngem rummuar a lamo-lamo dagiti napanglaw a tattao nga awanan ti pagan-anay; uray no mapanda a mabisbisin, awitenda dagiti rineppet a dawa dagiti dadduma a tattao.
But the poor people walk around with no clothes on; they are hungry while they are working to carry [other people’s] bundles of grain [to the places where their grain will be threshed].
11 Agar-aramid dagiti napanglaw a tattao ti lana kadagiti uneg dagiti pader dagiti nadangkes a tattao; baddebaddekanda dagiti pagpespesan ti arak dagiti nadangkes a tattao, ngem isuda a mismo ket mawaw.
Poor people press olives to make [olive] oil; they tread on grapes [to make juice for wine], but [they are not allowed to drink any of it when] they become thirsty.
12 Iti siudad, umas-asug dagiti tattao; agpukpukkaw dagiti nasugatan a tattao, ngem saan nga ipangpangag ti Dios dagiti karkararagda.
In the cities, people who are wounded and dying cry out [to God for help], but God does not heed their prayers.
13 Ti sumagmamano kadagiti nadangkes a tattao ket bumusor iti lawag; saanda nga ammo dagiti dalanna, wenno saanda nga agtalinaed kadagiti pagnaanna.
Some wicked people avoid the light [because they do evil things in the dark]; they do not walk on roads that are lighted.
14 Agtakder ti mammapatay iti lawag; papatayenna ti napanglaw ken dagiti agkasapulan a tattao; iti rabii, kasla maysa isuna nga agtatakaw.
Murderers steal things during the night, and then they arise before dawn in order that they may [go out again and] kill needy [DOU] people.
15 Maysa pay, ur-urayen ti mata ti mannakikamalala ti sardam; kunkunana, 'Awan iti mata a makakita kaniak.' Manglimlimo ti rupana.
Those who want to commit adultery wait for twilight/evening; they say ‘I do not want anyone to see me,’ so they keep their faces covered.
16 Iti kasipngetan, agkali dagiti nadangkes a tattao kadagiti babbalay; ngem ilemmengda dagiti bagbagida iti aldaw; awan pakibibbianganda iti lawag.
It is during the night that robbers break into houses [to steal things], but during the day they hide because they want to avoid [being seen in] the light.
17 Ta kadakuada amin, ti agsapa ket kasla iti nakaro a kinasipnget; nanam-ayda kadagiti pagbutbutngan iti nakaro a sipnget.
All of those [people] want to do their evil things at night, not in the morning [when it is light], because they are not afraid of [the things that happen during the] night that terrify others.”
18 Nupay kasta, matayda iti apagbiit, a kasla iti labutab iti rabaw dagiti dandanum; nailunod dagiti pasetda iti daga; awan ti siasinoman a mapan agtrabaho kadagiti kaubasanda.
“[But it is wicked people] who are swept/carried away by floods, and God curses the land that they own, and no one goes to work in their vineyards.
19 Runrunawen ti tikag ken pudot dagiti niebe a danum; kasta met a runrunawen ti sheol dagiti nagbasol. (Sheol )
Just like the snow melts away when it is hot and there is no rain, those who have sinned disappear into the place where dead people are. (Sheol )
20 Lipatento isuna ti aanakan a nangipasngay kenkuana; sisasam-itto a mangan ti igges kenkuana; saanton a malagip isuna; iti kastoy a wagas, madadaelto ti kinadangkes a kasla iti maysa a kayo.
Not even their mothers remember them now; wicked people are destroyed like trees that are cut down, and maggots eat their corpses.
21 Al-alun-unen ti nadangkes a tao dagiti lupes a babbai a saan a naganak; awan ti nasayaat nga ar-aramidenna kadagiti balo.
They mistreat women who have been unable to give birth to children and women who no longer have children [to take care of them], and they never do good things for widows.
22 Ngem guyoden nga iyadayo ti Dios dagiti nabibileg a tattao babaen iti pannakabalinna; tumakder isuna ket saanna ida a papigsaen iti biag.
But God, by his power, gets rid of mighty/influential people. God acts and causes the wicked people to die.
23 Ipalubos ti Dios a panunotenda a natalgedda, ket naragsakda iti maipanggep iti dayta, ngem adda dagiti matana kadagiti dalanda.
God allows them to think that they are secure and safe, but he is watching [MTY] them all the time.
24 Naitan-ok dagitoy a tattao; nupay kasta, iti apagbiit laeng, mapukawdanto; pudno, maipababadanto; maurnongdanto a kasla kadagiti amin a dadduma a tattao; maputeddanto a kasla kadagiti murdong dagiti dawa ti trigo.
They prosper for a little while, and then [suddenly] they are gone; they disappear like weeds wither and die; they are like [SIM] stalks of grain that have been cut off.
25 No saan ngarud a kasta, siasino ti makapaneknek nga ulbodak; siasino ti makaibaga nga awan pategna dagiti sasaok?”
If this is not true, is there [RHQ] anyone who will show that I am a liar and prove that what I have said is not true?”
