< Job 18 >
1 Ket simmungbat ni Bildad a Suhita ket kinunana,
Then responded Bildad the Shuhite, and said: —
2 “Kaano nga isardengmo ti panagsaom? Utobem, ket kalpasanna, agsaokaminto.
How long will ye make a perversion of words? Ye should understand, and, afterwards, we could speak.
3 Apay a naibilangkami a kas narungsot nga ay-ayup; apay a nagbalinkami a maag iti imatangmo?
Wherefore are we accounted like beasts? or appear stupid, in thine eyes?
4 Sika a mangdangdangran iti bagim iti pungtotmo, rumbeng kadi a malipatan ti daga gapu kenka wenno rumbeng kadi a maikkat dagiti bato kadagiti lug-lugarda?
One tearing in pieces his own soul in his anger, —For thy sake, shall the earth be forsaken? or the rock be moved out of its place?
5 Pudno, maiddepto ti silaw ti nadangkes a tao; saanto nga agraniag ti ressak ti apuyna.
Even the light of the lawless, shall go out, —Neither shall shine the flame of his fire;
6 Sumipngetto ti silaw iti toldana; maiddepto ti pagsilawanna iti ngatoenna.
The light, hath darkened in his tent, Yea, his lamp above him, goeth out;
7 Umababanto dagiti addang ti pigsana; ipababanto isuna dagiti bukodna a panggep.
The steppings of his strength are hemmed in, and his own counsel casteth him down;
8 Ta maipuruakto isuna iti iket babaen kadagiti bukodna a saka; magnanto isuna iti nauneg nga abut.
For he is thrust into a net by his own feet, and, upon a trap, he marcheth;
9 Mapalab-oganto isuna babaen iti mukodna; tenglento isuna iti silo.
There catcheth him—by the heel—a gin, there holdeth him fast—a noose:
10 Adda nakalemmeng a silo para kenkuana iti daga; ken palab-og a para kenkuana iti dalan.
Concealed in the ground is a cord for him, —and a snare for him, on the path.
11 Butbutngento isuna dagiti nakabutbuteng iti aglawlawna; kamatendanto isuna kadagiti mukodna.
Round about, terrors have startled him, and have driven him to his feet.
12 Agbalinto a bisin ti kinabaknangna, ken nakasagananto ti didigra iti sibayna.
Let his strength be famished, and, calamity, be ready at his side;
13 Maalun-onto dagiti paset ti bagina; wen, alun-onento ti umuna nga anak ti patay dagiti pasetna.
Let it devour the members of his body, Let the firstborn of death devour his members;
14 Marangkayto isuna iti ruar ti toldana, ti pagtaenganna a pagtaltalekanna ita; maipanto isuna iti patay, ti ari dagiti nakabutbuteng.
Uprooted, out of his tent, be his confidence, and let it drive him down to the king of terrors;
15 Agnaedto dagiti saanna a bukod a tattao iti toldana kalpasan a makitada a naiwaras ti asupre iti uneg ti pagtaenganna.
There shall dwell in his tent, what is naught-of-his, Let brimstone be strewed over his dwelling;
16 Magangonto dagiti ramutna iti baba; maputedto ti sangana iti ngato.
Beneath, let his roots be dried up, and, above, be cut off his branch;
17 Mapukawto ti pakalaglagipanna manipud iti daga; awanto ti naganna iti kalsada.
His memorial, have perished out of the land, and let him have no name over the face of the open field;
18 Maipanto isuna iti sipnget manipud iti lawag ken mapatalawto iti daytoy a lubong.
Let them thrust him out of light into darkness, Yea, out of the world, let them chase him;
19 Awanto ti anakna wenno anak ti anak kadagiti tattaona, wenno aniaman a nabatbati a kabagyan iti lugar a nagnaedanna.
Let him have neither scion nor seed among his people, neither any survivor in his place of sojourn:
20 Agbutengto iti maysa nga aldaw dagiti agnanaed iti laud iti mapasamak kenkuana; agbutengto dagiti agnanaed iti daya babaen iti daytoy.
Over his day, have they been astounded who come behind, and, them who are in advance, a shudder hath seized.
21 Awan duadua a kastoy dagiti pagtaengan dagiti saan a nalinteg a tattao, dagiti lugar dagiti saan a makaam-ammo iti Dios.”
Surely, these, are the dwellings of him that is perverse, and, this, is the place of him that knoweth not GOD.
