< Job 17 >
1 Naibus ti espirituk, ken aggibusen dagiti al-aldawko; nakasaganan ti tanem a para kaniak.
My spirit is broken, my days are cut short, the grave is ready for me.
2 Pudno nga adda dagiti mananglalais a kaduak; masapul a kankanayon a makitkita ti matak iti pananggargarida.
Yet truly those that mock are with me, and on their offendings must my eye rest.
3 Mangtedka ita ti maysa a sapata, agbalinka koma a pammatalged a maipaay kaniak; siasino pay iti adda a tumulong kaniak?
And thou, [Creator!] attend, I pray thee, be my surety with thyself: who else is there that would strike hands with me?
4 Ta linapdam O Dios dagiti pusoda manipud ti pannakaawat; saanmonto ngarud itan-ok ida kaniak.
For thou hast concealed their heart against intelligence: therefore art thou not exalted [through them].
5 Ti mangakusar kadagiti gagayyemna a maipaay iti gunggona, kumapoyto dagiti mata dagiti annakna.
Every one of them speaketh deceptively to his friends: may also the eyes of his children fail.
6 Ngem inaramidnak a maysa a balikas a kanayon nga us-usaren dagiti tattao, tuptupraanda ti rupak.
And he hath placed me here as a by-word unto nations; and I become openly as a place of abomination.
7 Nakudrep met ti matak gapu iti ladingit; nakuttong dagiti amin a paset ti bagik a kas ti kinakuttong ti aniniwan.
Therefore is my eye dim from vexation, and my limbs are all of them like a shadow.
8 Agsiddaawto dagiti nalinteg a lallaki gapu iti daytoy; makaungetto ti awan basolna a tao maibusor kadagiti nadangkes a lallaki.
Upright men must be astonished at this, and the innocent must arouse himself against the hypocrite.
9 Agtalinaedto ti nalinteg a tao iti dalanna; ad-addanto pay a pumigsa dagiti addaan iti nadalus nga im-ima.
Yet will the righteous hold firmly on to his way; and he that is clean of hands will acquire additional strength.
10 Ngem maipapan kadakayo amin, umaykayo ita; saanakto a makasarak iti masirib a tao kadakayo.
But all of you, do only return, and come but [to me]: and yet I shall not find among you one wise man.
11 Naglabasen dagiti al-aldawko, naggibusen dagiti panggepko, uray dagiti tartarigagayan ti pusok.
My days are past, my resolves are broken off, [even the thoughts]—the possessions of my heart.
12 Baliwan dagitoy a tattao, dagitoy a mananglalais, ti rabii iti aldaw; ti lawag, kunada nga asideg iti kinasipnget.
These would change the night into day, the light as near in the presence of darkness.—
13 Agsipud ta kitkitaek ti sheol a kas balayko; agsipud ta inyukradko ti iddak iti kasipngetan, (Sheol )
When I hope for the nether world as my house; in the darkness have I spread my couch; (Sheol )
14 agsipud ta imbagak iti abut, 'Sika ti Amak,' ken iti igges, 'Sika ti inak ken kabsatko a babai,'
When I call to corruption, Thou art my father: Thou art my mother, and my sister, to the worms.
15 sadino ngaruden ti ayan ti namnamak? Maipapan ti namnamak, siasino ti makakita ti aniaman?
Ay, where is then my hope? as for my hope, who will see it [fulfilled]?
16 Bumabanto kadi ti namnama a kaduak kadagiti ruangan ti sheol inton bumabatayo iti tapuk?” (Sheol )
Let then my limbs sink down to the nether world: truly in the dust alone there is rest for all. (Sheol )
