Jeremias 7
1 Daytoy ti sao nga immay kenni Jeremias manipud kenni Yahweh,
The word which came to Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying:
2 “Agtakderka iti ruangan ti balay ni Yahweh ket iwaragawagmo daytoy a sao! Kunaem, 'Denggenyo ti sao ni Yahweh, dakayo amin iti Juda, dakayo a sumsumrek kadagitoy a ruangan tapno agdayaw kenni Yahweh.
Stand in the gate of the house of Jehovah, and proclaim these words, and say: —Hear the word of Jehovah, all ye of Judah, Who enter in at these gates to worship Jehovah!
3 Kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin amin a Dios ti Israel: Aramidenyo a nasayaat dagiti wagas ken aramidyo, ket ipalubosko nga agtultuloykayo nga agnaed iti daytoy a lugar.
Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Amend your ways and your doings, And I will suffer you to dwell in this place!
4 Saanyo nga italek ti bagiyo kadagiti makaallilaw a sasao a kunayo, “Templo ni Yahweh! Templo ni Yahweh! Templo ni Yahweh!”
Trust ye not in lying words, when they say, “The temple of Jehovah, the temple of Jehovah, The temple of Jehovah are these.”
5 Ta no naan-anay nga aramidenyo a nasayaat dagiti wagas ken aramidyo; no naan-anay nga ipatungpalyo ti hustisia iti nagbaetan ti maysa a tao ken iti kaarrubana—
Yet if ye will thoroughly amend your ways and your doings, And dispense justice between man and man,
6 no saanyo nga irurumen ti agnanaed iti daga, ti ulila, wenno ti balo, ken saankayo a mangpasayasay iti awan basolna a dara iti daytoy a disso, ken saankayo nga agdayaw kadagiti didiosen a pakaigappuan iti bukodyo a pakadangran—
If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, And shed not innocent blood in this place, And go not after other gods to your own hurt,
7 ipaluboskonto nga agtalinaedkayo iti daytoy a lugar, iti daga nga intedko kadagiti kapuonanyo manipud pay idi un-unana ken iti agnanayon.
Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, In the land which I gave to your fathers, For ever and ever.
8 Kitaenyo! Agtaltalekkayo kadagiti makaallilaw a sasao a saan a makatulong kadakayo.
Behold, ye trust in lying words without profit.
9 Saan kadi nga agtaktakawkayo, mangpapatay ken makikamalala? Ken saan kadi a sapsapataanyo ti inuulbod ken agidatdatonkayo iti insenso kenni Baal ken agdaydayawkayo kadagiti didiosen a saanyo nga am-ammo?
Ye steal, and murder, and commit adultery, And swear falsely, and burn incense to Baal, And go after strange gods, which ye know not,
10 Ket umaykayo agtakder iti sangoanak iti daytoy a balay a nakaiwaragawagan ti naganko ket kunayo, “Awan iti pakaan-anoantayo,” iti kasta ket maaramidyo amin dagitoy a makarimon?
And then come and stand before me in this house, Which is called by my name, And say, “We are delivered!” Whilst ye practise all these abominations.
11 Daytoy kadi a balay a nakanagan iti naganko ket maysa a rukib dagiti agtatakaw kadagiti matayo? Ngem dumngegkayo, nakitak daytoy— kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh.'
Is this house, which is called by my name, Become a den for robbers in your eyes? Behold, I myself have seen it, saith Jehovah.
12 Isu a mapankayo iti lugarko nga adda idiay Silo, nga impalubosko a pagtalinaedan iti naganko sipud pay idi un-unana, ket kitaenyo ti inaramidko iti daytoy gapu iti kinadangkes dagiti tattaok nga Israel.
But go now to my place, which was in Shiloh, Where I caused my name to dwell at the first, And see what I have done to it On account of the wickedness of my people Israel.
13 Isu nga ita, gapu ta inar-aramidyo amin dagitoy nga aramid— kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh— nagsaoak kadakayo iti namin-adu, ngem saankayo a dimngeg. Inawagankayo, ngem saankayo a simmungbat.
And now because ye have done all these works, saith Jehovah, And I have spoken to you, rising early and speaking, But ye hearkened not, And I have called to you, But ye answered not,
14 Isu a no ania ti inaramidko idiay Silo, aramidekto met iti daytoy a balay a naawagan iti naganko, ti balay a nagtalkanyo, daytoy a disso nga intedko kadakayo ken kadagiti kapuonanyo.
Therefore will I do to the house which is called by my name, In which ye place your confidence, And to the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, As I have done to Shiloh.
15 Ta papanawenkayonto iti sangoanak, a kas iti panangpapanawko kadagiti amin a kakabsatyo, a dagiti amin a kaputotan ni Efraim.'
I will cast you out from my presence, As I have cast out all your brethren, The whole race of Ephraim.
16 Ket sika, Jeremias, saanmo nga ikararagan dagitoy a tattao, ken saanka a agdung-aw wenno agkararag para kadakuada, ken saanmo ida nga ibabaet, ta saanakto a dumngeg kenka.
And as for thee, pray not for this people, Nor lift up a cry or a prayer for them, Nor make intercession to me for them; For I will not hear thee.
17 Saanmo kadi a makita ti ar-aramidenda kadagiti siudad ti Juda ken kadagiti kalsada iti Jerusalem?
Seest thou not what they do In the cities of Judah, and the streets of Jerusalem?
18 Agur-urnong dagiti annak iti kayo ken paspasgedan dagiti amma ti apuy! Agmasmasa dagiti babbai iti arina tapno agaramid iti tinapay para iti reyna dagiti langit ken agibukbukbokda kadagiti daton a mainom para kadagiti didiosen tapno rurodendak.
The sons gather the wood, And the fathers kindle the fire, And the women knead dough, To make cakes for the queen of heaven, And to pour out libations to strange gods, That they may vex me.
19 Pudno kadi a rurrurodendak? — kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh— saan kadi a dagiti bagbagida ti rurrurodenda, isu nga isuda metlaeng ti manglaklak-am iti pannakaibabain?
But do they vex me, saith Jehovah? Do they not rather vex themselves, to the confusion of their own faces?
20 Isu a kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh nga Apo, 'Kitaenyo, pumsuakto ti unget ken pungtotko iti daytoy a lugar, iti tao ken kadagiti ayup, iti kayo kadagiti tay-ak ken ti bunga iti daga. Mapuoranto daytoy ket saanto a pulos a maiddep.'
Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold my anger and my fury shall be poured out on this place, Upon man and upon beast; Upon the trees of the field, And upon the fruit of the ground; It shall burn and not be quenched.
21 Kuna ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin amin a Dios ti Israel, 'Inayonyo dagiti datonyo a maipuor amin kadagiti sagutyo ken ti karne manipud kadagitoy.
Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Add your burnt-offerings to your sacrifices, And eat ye the flesh.
22 Ta idi inruarko dagiti kapuonanyo manipud iti daga ti Egipto, saanak a nagsapul iti aniaman a banag manipud kadakuada. Awan imbilinko maipanggep iti daton a maipuor amin ken kadagiti sakripisio.
For I spake not to your fathers, nor commanded them Concerning burnt-offerings and sacrifices, At the time when I brought them out of the land of Egypt;
23 Kastoy laeng ti imbilinko kadakuada, “Dumngegkayo iti timekko ket Siakto iti Diosyo ken dakayonto dagiti tattaok. Isu a magnakayo iti amin a wagas nga ibilbilinko kadakayo, tapno nasayaat ti pagbanaganyo.”
But this command gave I to them: “Hearken,” said I, “to my voice, And I will be your God, And ye shall be my people. And walk ye in all the ways which I command you, That it may go well with you.”
24 Ngem saanda a dimngeg wenno nangipangag. Nagbiagda a segun kadagiti bukod a panggep dagiti nadangkes a pusoda, isu a nagsanudda, saanda a nagtuloy.
But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, But walked in the devices and obstinacy of their evil heart, Turning their backs and not their faces toward me.
25 Manipud iti aldaw a rimmuar dagiti kapuonanyo iti daga ti Egipto agingga iti daytoy nga aldaw, imbaonko ti tunggal maysa kadagiti adipenko, dagiti profetak, kadakayo. Saanak a nagsardeng a nangiibaon kadakuada.
From the day when your fathers came forth from the land of Egypt, Even to this day, I have also sent to you all my servants, the prophets, Daily rising early and sending.
26 Ngem saanda a dimngeg kaniak. Saanda a nangipangag. Ngem ketdi, pinatangkenda dagiti uloda. Nadangdangkesda ngem dagiti kapuonanda.'
But they have not hearkened to me, Nor have they inclined their ear; But they have hardened their neck, And acted more wickedly than their fathers.
27 Isu nga iwaragawagmo amin dagitoy a sasao kadakuada, ngem saandanto a dumngeg kenka. Iwaragawagmo dagitoy a banbanag kadakuada, ngem saandakanto a sungbatan.
And when thou shalt speak all these things to them, They will not hearken to thee; And when thou shalt call to them, They will make thee no answer.
28 Ibagam kadakuada, 'Daytoy ket maysa a nasion a saan a dumngeg iti timek ni Yahweh a Diosna ken saanna a kayat iti agpaiwanwan. Nadadael ti kinapudno ken naikkat manipud kadagiti ngiwatda.
Therefore shalt thou say to them, This is the nation that hearkeneth not to the voice of Jehovah their God, And taketh no correction; Truth hath failed, and is cut off from their mouth.
29 Pukisam ti buokmo ken kuskusam ti bagim, ket ibellengmo ti buokmo. Agkantaka iti pangdung-aw a kanta kadagiti nawaya a lugar. Ta linaksid ken tinallikudanen ni Yahweh daytoy a henerasion gapu iti pungtotna.
Cut off thy locks, O Jerusalem, and cast them away! Set up a lamentation upon the high place! For Jehovah hath rejected and forsaken the children Against which his wrath hath been kindled.
30 Ta nakaaramid iti dakes dagiti annak ti Juda iti imatangko— daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh-nangikabilda kadagiti makarimon a banbanag iti balay a nakaiwaragawagan iti naganko, tapno matulawan daytoy.
For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith Jehovah, They have set their abominations in the house Which is called by my name, to pollute it.
31 Ket binangonda ti altar ti Tofet nga adda iti tanap ti Ben Hinnom. Inaramidda daytoy a pangpuoranda kadagiti annakda a lallaki ken babbai— maysa a banag a saanko nga imbilin. Saanko a pulos a pinanunot daytoy.
They have built the high places of Tophet, Which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, To burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, Which I commanded not, Which even came not into my mind.
32 Isu a kitaenyo, umadanin dagiti aldaw— kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh— inton saanen a maawagan daytoy iti Tofet wenno tanap ti Ben Hinnom. Agbalinto daytoy a tanap ti Pannakapapatay; agitabondanto kadagiti bangkay idiay Tofet agingga nga awan iti mabati a pagitabonan.
Therefore behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, That it shall no more be called Tophet, Or the valley of the son of Hinnom, But the Valley of Slaughter; For they shall bury in Tophet till there be no room left.
33 Dagiti bangkay dagitoy a tattao ket agbalinto a taraon dagiti billit kadagiti tangatang ken dagiti ayup iti daga ket awanto a pulos iti mangabug kadagitoy.
And the dead bodies of this people shall be for meat To the birds of the air and to the beasts of the earth; And none shall scare them away.
34 Pasardengekto kadagiti siudad ti Juda ken kadagiti kalsada ti Jerusalem, dagiti uni ti panagrag-o ken panagragsak, dagiti uni ti nobio ken ti nobia; agsipud ta agbalinto a langalang ti daga.”
And I will cause to cease from the cities of Judah, And from the streets of Jerusalem, The voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, The voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride; For the land shall be desolate.
