< Jeremias 6 >

1 Birukenyo ti pagtalgedanyo, tattao ti Benjamin, babaen iti panangpanawyo iti Jerusalem. Mangpaunikayo iti tangguyob idiay Tekoa. Mangipangatokayo iti pagilasinan idiay Bet-Hakerem, agsipud ta agparparang ti kinadangkes manipud amianan; sumungsungaden ti dakkel a pannakadadael.
Strengthen yourselves, you children of Benjamin, [to flee] out of the midst of Jerusalem, and sound an alarm with the trumpet in Thecue, and set up a signal over Baethacharma: for evil threatens from the north, and a great destruction is coming.
2 Ti anak a babai ti Sion, ti napintas ken makaay-ayo a balasang, ket madadaelto.
And [your] pride, O daughter of Sion, shall be taken away.
3 Mapanto kadakuada dagiti agpaspastor agraman dagiti arbanda; agpatakderdanto kadagiti tolda iti aglawlaw daytoy; agpastorto ti tunggal tao baben iti bukodna nga ima.
The shepherds and their flocks shall come to her; and they shall pitch [their] tents against her round about, and shall feed [their flocks] each with his hand.
4 Kunanto dagiti ari, “Idatonyo dagiti bagbagiyo kadagiti dios para iti gubat. Tumakderkayo, rumauttayo iti tengnga ti aldaw. Saan a nasayaat a lumneken ti init ket sumipngeten.
Prepare yourselves for war against her; rise up, and let us go up against her at noon. Woe to us! for the day has gone down, for the shadows of the day fail.
5 Ngem rumauttayo iti rabii ket dadaelentayo dagiti sarikedkedna.''
Rise, and let us go up against her by night, and destroy her foundations.
6 Ta kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin: Pukanenyo dagiti kayo ti Jerusalem, ken pagtutuonenyo a panglakub iti Jerusalem. Daytoy ti umisu a siudad a rautentayo, gapu ta napnoan daytoy iti panangidadanes.
For thus says the Lord, Hew down her trees, array a numerous force against Jerusalem. O false city; [there is] all oppression in her.
7 Kas iti bubon nga agtultuloy a mangmangted iti danum, kasta met ti panangparparnuay daytoy a siudad iti kinadakes. Kinaranggas ken riribuk ket mangmangngeg kenkuana. Agtultuloy ti panagsagaba ken didigra iti sangoanak.
As a cistern cools water, so her wickedness cools her, ungodliness and misery shall be heard in her, [as] continually before her.
8 Awatem ti panangiwanwan, Jerusalem, ta no saan, tallikudanka ket dadaelenka, pagbalinenka a maysa a langalang a daga.'”
You shall be chastened, O Jerusalem, with pain and the scourge, lest my soul depart from you; lest I make you a desert land, which shall not be inhabited.
9 Kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh a Manakabalin-amin, “Awan duadua nga umayda tudtoden a kas iti kaubasan dagiti nabatbati iti Israel. Igaw-atyo manen ti imayo a mangpuros iti bunga ti ubas manipud kadagiti sanga ti ubas.
For thus says the Lord, Glean, glean thoroughly as a vine the remnant of Israel: turn back [your hands] as a grape-gatherer to his basket.
10 Siasino ti rumbeng a pangipakaammoak ken pangiballaagak tapno dumngegda? Kitaem! Saan a nakugit dagiti lapayagda; saanda a kabaelan ti mangipangag! Kitaem! Immay ti sao ni Yahweh kadakuada a mangiwanwan kadakuada, ngem saanda a kayat daytoy.”
To whom shall I speak, and testify, that he may listen? behold, your ears are uncircumcised, and they shall not be able to hear: behold, the word of the Lord is become to them a reproach, they will not at all desire it.
11 Ngem napnoanak iti pungtot ni Yahweh, Nabannogakon a mangib-ibtur iti daytoy. Kinunana kaniak, “Ibuyatmo daytoy kadagiti ubbing kadagiti kalsada ken kadagiti bunggoy dagiti agtutubo a lallaki. Ta maipanaw ti tunggal lalaki a kadduana ti asawana; ken tunggal nataengan a tao kasta met dagiti adun iti tawenna.
And I allowed my wrath to come to full, yet I kept [it] in, and did not utterly destroy them: I will pour it out on the children without, and on the assembly of young men together: for man and woman shall be taken together, the old man with him that is full of days.
12 Maitedto iti sabali dagiti balayda, agraman dagiti taltalonda ken dagiti assawada. Ta rautekto dagiti agnanaed iti daga babaen iti imak-daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh-
And their houses shall be turned to others, [with] their fields and their wives together: for I will stretch out my hand upon the inhabitants of this land, says the Lord.
13 ta manipud iti kanunumoan kadakuada agingga kadagiti katatan-okan – agar-aramid ti tunggal maysa kadakuada iti saan a nalinteg a pamusmusan tapno makakuarta. Manipud iti profeta agingga iti padi- manangallilaw ti tunggal maysa kadakuada.
For from the least of them even to the greatest they have all committed iniquity; from the priest even to the false prophet they have all wrought falsely.
14 Ngem agasanda dagiti sugsugat dagiti tattaok iti parparawpaw laeng, no kasta a kunaenda, ‘Kappia! Kappia!' idinto nga awan iti kappia.
And they healed the breach of my people [imperfectly], making light [of it], and saying, Peace, peace, and where is peace?
15 Nagbainda kadi idi nagaramidda kadagiti makarimon? Saanda a pulos a nagbain; saanda a napadasan ti nagpakumbaba. Isu a matnagdanto a kadua dagiti matnag iti tiempo a dusaek ida. Maabakdanto,” kuna ni Yahweh.
They were ashamed because they failed; yet they were not ashamed as those who are [truly] ashamed, and they knew not their own disgrace: therefore shall they [utterly] fall when they do fall, and in the time of visitation shall they perish, said the Lord.
16 Kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh, “Agtakderkayo iti nagsangaan ti dalan ket kitaenyo; damagenyo dagiti nagkauna a pagnaan. Sadino ditoy ti nasayaat a dalan?' Ket mapankayo iti daytoy ket mangsapulkayo iti lugar a paginanaanyo. Ngem kuna dagiti tattao, Saankami a mapan.'
Thus says the Lord, Stand you in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths of the Lord; and see what is the good way, and walk in it, and you shall find purification for your souls. But they said, We will not walk [in them].
17 Nangdutokak kadakayo kadagiti agbantay a mangdengngeg iti tangguyob. Ngem kinunada, ' Saankaminto nga agdengngeg.
I have set watchmen over you, [saying], Hear you the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hear [it].
18 Ngarud, dumngegkayo, dakayo a nasion! Kitaenyo, dakayo a saksi, no anianto ti mapasamak kadakuada.
Therefore have the nations heard, and they that feed their flocks.
19 Denggem, daga! Kitaem, dandanikon iyeg ti didigra kadagitoy a tattao- ti bunga dagiti panpanunotda. Saanda nga impangag ti saok wenno ti paglintegak, ngem ketdi, linaksidda daytoy.”
Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evils upon this people, [even] the fruit of their rebellions; for they have not heeded my words, and they have rejected my law.
20 Ania ti serbina kaniak daytoy nga insenso a mapupuoran manipud idiay Seba? Wenno dagitoy a nasam-it nga ayamuom manipud iti adayo a daga? Saan a makaay-ayo kaniak dagiti datonyo a maipuor, uray pay dagiti sagutyo.
Therefore do you bring me frankincense from Saba, and cinnamon from a land afar off? your whole burnt offerings are not acceptable, and your sacrifices have not been pleasant to me.
21 Isu a kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh, 'Kitaem, dandaniakon a mangikabil iti maysa a pakaitibkolan a bato kadagitoy a tattao. Maitibkoldanto iti daytoy- dagiti amma ken dagiti annak a lallaki. Mapukawto met dagiti agnanaed ken dagiti kaarrubada.
Therefore thus says the Lord, Behold, I [will] bring weakness upon this people, and the fathers and sons shall be weak together; the neighbour and his friend shall perish.
22 Kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh, ‘Kitaem, adda tattao nga aggapu iti akin-amianan a daga nga umay. Ta nakasaganan nga umay ti dakkel a nasion manipud iti adayo a daga.
Thus says the Lord, Behold, a people comes from the north, and nations shall be stirred up from the end of the earth.
23 Pidutendanto dagiti pana ken gayangda. Naulpit ken awan asida. Kasla daranudor ti baybay ti ariwawada, ken nakasakayda kadagiti kabalio a nakasagana a kas kadagiti makiranget a lallaki, dakayo nga annak a babbai ti Sion.”'
They shall lay hold on bow and spear; [the people] is fierce, and will have no mercy; their voice is as the roaring sea; they shall array themselves for war against you as fire on horses and chariots, O daughter of Sion.
24 Nangngegmi dagiti damag maipanggep kadakuada. Kimmapsut dagiti imami gapu iti tuok. Nakariknakami ti ut-ot a kas iti ut-ot ti agpaspasikal a babai.
We have heard the report of them: our hands are weakened: anguish has seized us, the pangs as of a woman in travail.
25 Saankayo a rummuar kadagiti kataltalunan, ken saankayo a magna kadagiti kalsada, ta kampilan ti kabusor ken nakabutbuteng ti adda iti aglawlaw.
Go not forth into the field, and walk not in the ways; for the sword of the enemy lingers round about.
26 Anak a babai dagiti tattaok, agkaweska iti nakersang a lupot ket agtulidka iti katapukan gapu iti pannakaitabon iti bugbugtong nga anak. Agunnoyka iti nasaem a panagunnoy, ta kellaatto nga umay kadatayo ti mangdadael.
O daughter of my people, gird yourself with sackcloth: sprinkle [yourself] with ashes; make for yourself pitiable lamentation, [as] the mourning for a beloved [son]: for misery will come suddenly upon you.
27 ”Pinagbalinka, Jeremias, a mangsubok kadagiti tattaok a kas maysa a manggugor iti landok, isu a sukimaten ken subokemto dagiti wagasda.
I have caused you to be tried amongst tried nations, and you shall know me when I have tried their way.
28 Isuda amin ket kasukiran kadagiti tattao, a mangparpardaya kadagiti dadduma. Isuda amin ket gambang ken landok, nga agtigtignay a sidadangkes.
[They are] all disobedient, walking perversely: [they are] brass and iron; they are all corrupted.
29 Napigsa ti yuboyuban tapno maparubruban ti apuy a mangguggugor kadakuada; mapupuoran ti buli iti darang. Agtultuloy ti pananggugor kadagitoy, ngem awan serserbina, gapu ta saan a naikkat ti kinadakes.
The bellows have failed from the fire, the lead has failed: the silversmith works at his trade in vain; their wickedness is not consumed.
30 Maawagandanto a naibelleng a pirak, ta imbelleng ida ni Yahweh.”
Call you them reprobate silver, because the Lord has rejected them.
