< Jeremias 51 >
1 Kastoy ti kinuna ni Yahweh, “Kitaem, mangparnuayakon iti angin a mangdadael iti Babilonia ken kadagiti agnanaed idiay Leb Kamai.
Thus said Jehovah: Lo, I am stirring up against Babylon, And the inhabitants of Leb — My withstanders, A destroying wind,
2 Mangibaonakto kadagiti gangannaet idiay Babilonia. Waraen ken dadaelendanto ti daga ti Babilonia, ta darupendanto ti amin nga aglawlaw daytoy iti aldaw ti panangdaael.
And I have sent to Babylon fanners, And they have fanned it, and they empty its land, For they have been against it, Round about — in the day of evil.
3 Saanyo nga ipalubos nga ibiat dagiti pumapana dagiti panada; saanyo nga ipalubos nga isuotda dagiti kalasagda. Patayenyo dagiti agtutubo a lallaki ti Babilonia; dadaelenyo ti sibubukel nga armada daytoy.
Let not the treader tread his bow, Nor lift himself up in his coat of mail, Nor have ye pity on her young men, Devote ye to destruction all her host.
4 Ta mapasagto dagiti nasugatan a tattao iti daga dagiti Caldeo; maidasayto dagiti natay kadagiti kalsadana.
And fallen have the wounded in the land of the Chaldeans, And the pierced-through in her streets.
5 Ta ti Israel ken Juda ket saan a binaybay-an ti Diosda, ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin, nu man pay napnoan ti dagada kadagiti basol a naaramid maibusor iti Nasantoan ti Israel.
For, not forsaken is Israel and Judah, By its God — by Jehovah of Hosts, For their land hath been full of guilt, Against the Holy One of Israel.
6 Aglibaskayo manipud iti Babilonia; isalakan koma ti tunggal maysa ti bagina. Saankayo koma a mapukaw gapu iti basolna. Ta daytoy ti aldaw a panangibales ni Yahweh. Aramidenna iti Babilonia ti rumbeng kenkuana.
Flee ye from the midst of Babylon, And deliver ye each his soul, Be not cut off in its iniquity, For a time of vengeance it [is] to Jehovah, Recompence He is rendering to her.
7 Ti Babilonia ket kasla maysa a balitok a kopa iti ima ni Yahweh a nangbartek iti entero a daga; ininom dagiti nasion ti arakna ket nagmauyongda.
A golden cup [is] Babylon in the hand of Jehovah, Making drunk all the earth, Of its wine drunk have nations, Therefore boast themselves do nations.
8 Kellaatto a mapasag ti Babilonia ket madadaelto. Dung-awanyo isuna! Ikkanyo isuna iti agas para iti sakitna; bareng no mapaimbag isuna.
Suddenly hath Babylon fallen, Yea, it is broken, howl ye for it, Take balm for her pain, if so be it may be healed.
9 Tinarigagayanmi a paimbagen ti Babilonia, ngem saan a napaimbag daytoy. Panawantayo amin daytoy ket agsublitayo iti dagatayo. Ta dimmanon ti basolna sadi langit; nagtutuon agingga kadagiti ulep.'
We healed Babylon, and she was not healed, Forsake her, and we go, each to his land, For come unto the heavens hath its judgment, And it hath been lifted up unto the clouds.
10 'Imbaga ni Yahweh nga awan basoltayo. Umaykayo, ibagatayo idiay Sion dagiti aramid ni Yahweh a Diostayo.'
Jehovah hath brought forth our righteousnesses, Come, and we recount in Zion the work of Jehovah our God.
11 Asaenyo dagiti pana ken isuotyo dagiti kalasagyo. Tigtignayen ni Yahweh ti espiritu ti ari ti Media iti panggepna a mangdadael iti Babilonia. Ta daytoy ket para iti panangibales ni Yahweh, panangibales gapu iti pannakadadael ti templona.
Cleanse ye the arrows, fill the shields, Stirred up hath Jehovah the spirit of the kings of Madia, For against Babylon His device [is] to destroy it, For the vengeance of Jehovah it [is], The vengeance of His temple.
12 Mangingatokayo iti wagayway kadagiti pader ti Babilonia; mangikabilkayo kadagiti guardia. Mangipuestokayo kadagiti agbanbantay; paglemmengenyo dagiti soldado tapno matiliwda ti siasinoman nga agtaray manipud iti siudad, ta aramidento ni Yahweh ti pinanggepna. Aramidennanto ti inwaragawagna a maibusor kadagiti agnanaed iti Babilonia.
Unto the walls of Babylon lift up an ensign, Strengthen the watch, Establish the watchers, prepare the ambush, For Jehovah hath both devised and done that which He spake, Concerning the inhabitants of Babylon.
13 Dakayo a tattao nga agnanaed kadagiti igid ti waig, dakayo a tattao a baknang kadagiti gameng, dimtengen ti kalibusananyo. Napugsaten ti linas ti biagyo.
O dweller on many waters, abundant in treasures, Come in hath thine end, the measure of thy dishonest gain.
14 Nagsapata ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin a kunana, 'Punoenkanto kadagiti kabusormo, a kasla kadagiti peste ti dudon; ket ippukkawdanto ti pukkaw no adda gubat maibusor kadakayo.'
Sworn hath Jehovah of Hosts by Himself, That, Surely I have filled thee [with] men as the cankerworm, And they have cried against thee — shouting.
15 Pinarsuana ti daga babaen iti pannakabalinna; impasdekna ti lubong babaen iti siribna. Inyukradna dagiti langit babaen iti pannakaammona.
The maker of earth by His power, The establisher of the world by His wisdom, Who by His understanding stretched out the heavens,
16 No paggurruodenna, adda iti danarudor ti danum kadagiti langit, ta iyegna ti angep kadagiti ungto ti daga. Pagkimatenna no kasta nga agtudo ken ibabaonna ti angin manipud kadagiti pangiduldulinanna.
At the voice He giveth forth, A multitude of waters [are] in the heavens, And He causeth vapours to come up from the end of the earth, Lightnings for rain He hath made, And He bringeth out wind from His treasures.
17 Agbalin a kasla ayup nga awan ammona ti tunggal tao nga awan ammona, tunggal mammanday iti landok ket maibabain gapu kadagiti imahenna. Ta dagiti nasukogna nga imahen ket palso; awan ti biag dagitoy.
Brutish hath been every man by knowledge, Put to shame hath been every refiner by a graven image, For false [is] his molten image, And there is no breath in them.
18 Awan serserbida, aramid dagitoy dagiti manglalais; mapukawdanto iti tiempo iti pannakadusada.
Vanity [are] they — work of errors, In the time of their inspection they perish.
19 Ngem ti Dios, a pagdaydayawan ni Jacob, ket saan a kas kadagitoy, ta isuna ti tagasukog kadagiti amin a banbanag. Ti Israel ti tribu a tawidna; Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin ti naganna.
Not like these [is] the portion of Jacob, For He [is] former of all things, And [Israel is] the rod of His inheritance, Jehovah of Hosts [is] His name.
20 Sika ti martiliok a panggubat, ti igamko a panggubat. Babaen kenka, burakekto dagiti nasion ken dadaelek dagiti pagarian.
An axe [art] thou to me — weapons of war, And I have broken in pieces by thee nations, And I have destroyed by thee kingdoms,
21 Babaen kenka, burakekto dagiti kabalio ken dagiti mangsaksakay kadagitoy; babaen kenka burakekto dagiti karwahe ken dagiti mangiturturong kadagitoy.
And I have broken in pieces by thee horse and its rider, And I have broken in pieces by thee chariot and its charioteer,
22 Babaen kenka papatayekto ti tunggal lalaki ken babai; babaen kenka papatayekto dagiti lallakay ken ub-ubbing. Babaen kenka papatayekto dagiti bumarito ken dagiti birhen a babbai.
And I have broken in pieces by thee man and woman, And I have broken in pieces by thee old and young, And I have broken in pieces by thee young man and virgin,
23 Babaen kenka papatayekto dagiti agpaspastor ken dagiti arbanda; babaen kenka papatayekto dagiti agar-arado ken dagiti bunggoyda. Babaen kenka papatayekto dagiti gobernador ken dagiti opisial.
And I have broken in pieces by thee shepherd and his drove, And I have broken in pieces by thee husbandman and his team, And I have broken in pieces by thee governors and prefects.
24 Ta iti imatangmo, balsekto ti Babilonia ken dagiti amin nga agnanaed iti Caldea gapu kadagiti amin a dakes nga inaramidda idiay Sion—daytoy ket pakaamo ni Yahweh.”
And I have recompensed to Babylon, And to all inhabitants of Chaldea, All the evil that they have done in Zion, Before your eyes — an affirmation of Jehovah.
25 “Kitaem, maibusorak kenka, sika a bantay, a mangdadael kadagiti dadduma a tattao—daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh—a mangdadael iti entero a daga. Kabilenka babaen iti imak ket itinnagka kadagiti derraas. Ket pagbalinenkanto a bantay a naan-anay a napuoran.
Lo, I [am] against thee, O destroying mount, An affirmation of Jehovah, That is destroying all the earth, And I have stretched out My hand against thee, And I have rolled thee from the rocks, And given thee for a burnt mountain.
26 Saandanto ngarud a makaala iti aniaman a bato a pangaramidda iti suli wenno adigi ti pasdek; gapu ta agnanayonkanto a nadadael—daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh.”
And they take not out of thee a stone for a corner, And a stone for foundations, For desolations age-during art thou, An affirmation of Jehovah.
27 Mangingatokayo iti wagayway iti lubong. Puyotanyo ti trumpeta kadagiti nasion. Isaganayo dagiti nasion a mangraut kenkuana. Ipadamagyo ti maipapan kenkuana kadagiti pagarian ti Ararat, Minni, ken Askenaz; mangdutokkayo iti mangidadaulo a mangraut iti daytoy; mangiyegkayo kadagiti kabalio a kasla kadagiti pangen dagiti dudon.
Lift ye up an ensign in the land, Blow a trumpet among nations, Sanctify against it nations, Summon against it the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashkenaz, Appoint against it an infant head, Cause the horse to ascend as the rough cankerworm.
28 Isaadyo dagiti nasion a mangraut iti daytoy: dagiti ari ti Medes ken dagiti gobernadorna, dagiti amin nga opisialna ken dagiti amin a daga nga iturturayanna.
Sanctify against it the nations with the kings of Media, Its governors and all its prefects, And all the land of its dominion.
29 Ta magunggonto ken agsanaang ti daga, agsipud ta agtuloy ti panggep ni Yahweh a maibusor iti Babilonia, a pagbalinenna a langalang ti Babilonia nga awan iti agnanaed.
And shake doth the land, and it is pained, For stood against Babylon have the purposes of Jehovah, To make the land of Babylon a desolation without inhabitant.
30 Nagsardengen a makigubat digiti soldado ti Babilonia, nagtalinaedda kadagiti sarikedkedda. Naibusen dagiti pigsada; nagbalindan a kasla babbai—Mapuppuoran dagiti babbalayna, nadadael dagiti landok a ruanganna.
Ceased have the mighty of Babylon to fight, They have remained in strongholds, Failed hath their might, they have become woman, They have burnt her tabernacles, Broken have been her bars.
31 Agtaray ti maysa a mensahero tapno ipadamagna iti sabali pay a mensahero, ken ibaga ti maysa a tumataray iti sabali pay a tumataray nga ipadamagna iti ari ti Babilonia a nasakupen ti entero a siudadna.
Runner to meet runner doth run, And announcer to meet announcer, To announce to the king of Babylon, For, captured hath been his city — at the extremity.
32 Isu a nasakupen ti ababaw a paset ti karayan; pupuoran ti kabusor dagiti runruno, ken mariribukan dagiti mannakigubat a lallaki ti Babilonia.”
And the passages have been captured, And the reeds they have burnt with fire, And the men of war have been troubled.
33 “Ta kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin a Dios ti Israel: Ti anak a babai ti Babilonia ket kasla pagirikan. Tiempon iti panangibaddebaddek kenkuana. Iti mabiit, dumteng ti tiempo iti panangapit iti daytoy.
For thus said Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel, The daughter of Babylon [is] as a threshing-floor, The time of her threshing — yet a little, And come hath the time of her harvest.
34 Kuna ti Jerusalem, 'Inalun-onnak ni Nebucadnesar nga ari ti Babilonia. Pinamagaannak ken inaramidnak nga awan naggianna a banga. Inalun-onnak a kasla dragon. Pinunnona ti tianna babaen iti naimas a taraonko. Imbellengna dagiti saanna a kayat manipud kaniak.' Kunaento dagiti agnanaed iti Sion,
Devoured us, crushed us, hath Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, He hath set us [as] an empty vessel, He hath swallowed us as a dragon, He hath filled his belly with my dainties, He hath driven us away.
35 'Agsubli koma iti Babilonia ti kinaranggas nga inaramidna kaniak ken iti pamiliak.' Kunaento ti Jerusalem, 'Agsubli koma kadagiti agnanaed idiay Caldea ti basol a gapu iti panagsayasay ti darak.'”
My wrong, and [that of] my flesh [is] on Babylon, Say doth the inhabitant of Zion, And my blood [is] on the inhabitants of Chaldea, Say doth Jerusalem.
36 Isu a kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh: Kitaenyo, makitungtongakto iti maipanggep iti basolyo ken ibalsankayonto. Ta pagmagaekto dagiti danum ti Babilonia ken dagiti ubbogna.
Therefore, thus said Jehovah: Lo, I am pleading thy cause, And I have avenged thy vengeance, And dried up its sea, and made its fountains dry.
37 Agbalinto ti Babilonia a gabgabsuon iti naburak a bato, a pagnanaedan dagiti atap nga aso, maysa a banag a nakabutbuteng, maysa a banag a pagsakuntipan, nga awan ti agnanaed.
And Babylon hath been for heaps, A habitation of dragons, An astonishment, and a hissing, without inhabitant.
38 Agngerngerto dagiti taga-Babilonia a kasla kadagiti urbon a leon. Agngerngerda a kasla kadagiti uken a leon.
Together as young lions they roar, They have shaken themselves as lions' whelps.
39 Inton pumudotda iti kinaagumda, agpadayaakto para kadakuada; bartekekto ida tapno agragsakda, kalpasanna ket makaturogda iti awan patinggana a pannaturog ket saandanton a makariing pay—daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh—
In their heat I make their banquets, And I have caused them to drink, so that they exult, And have slept a sleep age-during, And awake not — an affirmation of Jehovah.
40 Ibaonkonto ida a bumaba a kasla kadagiti karnero iti pagpartian, a kasla kadagiti kalakian a karnero a kaddua dagiti kalakian a kalding.”
I cause them to go down as lambs to slaughter, As rams with he-goats.
41 “Anian ti pannakasakup ti Babilonia! Nagsardeng ngarud ti panagdaydayaw ti entero a daga. Anian ti panagbalin ti Babilonia a nadadael a lugar kadagiti nasion.
How hath Sheshach been captured, Yea, caught is the praise of the whole earth, How hath Babylon been for an astonishment among nations.
42 Linapunos iti baybay ti Babilonia! Nalapunos daytoy kadagiti dumaranudor a dalluyon.
Come up against Babylon hath the sea, With a multitude of its billows it hath been covered.
43 Nagbalin a langalang dagiti siudad daytoy, maysa a namaga a daga ken let-ang, maysa a daga nga awan agnanaed, ken awan ti tao a lumablabas.
Its cities have been for a desolation, A dry land, and a wilderness, A land — none doth dwell in them, Nor pass over into them doth a son of man.
44 Dusaekto ngarud ni Bel idiay Babilonia; iruarkonto iti ngiwatna ti inalun-onna, ket saanton a mapan kenkuana dagiti nasion nga adda imetda a datdaton. Marbanto dagiti pader ti Babilonia.”
And I have seen after Bel in Babylon, And I have brought forth that which he swallowed — from his mouth, And flow no more unto him do nations, Also the wall of Babylon hath fallen.
45 Rummuarkayo manipud kenkuana, dakayo a tattaok. Isalakan koma ti tunggal maysa kadakayo ti biagna manipud iti kinarungsot ti pungtotko.
Go forth from its midst, O My people, And deliver ye, each his soul, Because of the fierceness of the anger of Jehovah,
46 Saan koma a maupay wenno agbuteng dagiti pusoyo kadagiti damag a mangngegyo iti daga, ta umayto dagiti damag iti makatawen. Kalpasan daytoy, iti sumaruno a tawen addanto dagiti damag, ket addanto kinaranggas iti daga. Agbibinnusorto dagiti mangiturturay.
And lest your heart be tender, And ye be afraid of the report that is heard in the land, And come in a year hath the report, And after it in a year the report, And violence [is] in the land, ruler against ruler;
47 Ngarud, kitaenyo, umayto dagiti aldaw inton dusaek dagiti nakitikitan a didiosen ti Babilonia. Maibabainto ti entero a daga daytoy, ken maidasayto iti tengngana dagiti amin a napapatay.
Therefore, lo, days are coming, And I have seen after the graven images of Babylon. And all its land is ashamed, And all its pierced ones do fall in its midst.
48 Ket agrag-onto ti langit ken ti daga, ken dagiti amin nga adda kadagitoy gapu iti Babilonia. Ta umayto dagiti mangdadael iti Babilonia manipud iti amianan—daytoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh.
And cried aloud against Babylon Have heavens and earth, and all that [is] in them, For, from the north come to it do the spoilers, An affirmation of Jehovah.
49 “Kas iti panangpasag ti Babilonia kadagiti napapatay iti Israel, mapasagto met idiay Babilonia dagiti amin a mapapatay kadagiti amin a daga daytoy.”
Even Babylon [is] to fall, ye pierced of Israel, Even they of Babylon have fallen, Ye pierced of all the earth.
50 Dakayo a nakalasat iti kampilan, agtignaykayo! Saankayo nga agtalinaed. Lagipenyo ni Yahweh manipud iti adayo; lagipenyo koma ti Jerusalem.
Ye escaped of the sword, go on, stand not, Remember ye from afar Jehovah, And let Jerusalem come up on your heart.
51 Naibabainkami, ta nakangngegkami kadagiti pananglalais; Inabbungan ti pannakaibabain dagiti rupami, ta nakastrek dagiti ganggannaet kadagiti nasantoan a lugar iti balay ni Yahweh.”
We have been ashamed, for we heard reproach, Covered hath shame our faces, For come in have strangers, against the sanctuaries of the house of Jehovah.
52 Ngarud, kitaenyo, dumtengen dagiti aldaw— daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh—inton dusaek dagiti nakitikitan a didiosen daytoy, ken agasugto dagiti nasugatan a tattao nga adda iti amin a dagana.
Therefore, lo, days are coming, An affirmation of Jehovah, And I have seen after its graven images, And in all its land groan doth the wounded.
53 Ta uray no agpangato ti Babilonia kadagiti langit wenno patibkerenna dagiti kangangatoan a sarikedkedna, aggapunto kaniak dagiti mangdadael iti daytoy—daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh.”
Because Babylon goeth up to the heavens, And because it fenceth the high place of its strength, From Me come into it do spoilers, An affirmation of Jehovah.
54 Adda pukkaw gapu iti panagrigat a naggapu iti Babilonia, maysa a nakaro a pannakadadael iti daga dagiti Caldeo.
A voice of a cry [is] from Babylon, And of great destruction from the land of the Chaldean.
55 Ta daddadaelen ni Yahweh ti Babilonia. Pukpukawenna ti napigsa a timek daytoy. Umarimbangaw dagiti kabusorda a kasla dalluyon iti adu a danum; pummigsa unay dagiti ringgorda.
For Jehovah is spoiling Babylon, And hath destroyed out of it a great voice, And sounded have its billows as many waters, Given forth a noise hath their voice.
56 Ta dimtengen dagiti mangdadadael a maibusor iti daytoy—maibusor iti Babilonia! —ken natiliwen dagiti mannakigubat daytoy. Natukkolen dagiti panada, ta ni Yahweh ti Dios ti panagibales; sigurado nga ipatungpalnan daytoy a panangsupapak.
For come in against it — against Babylon — hath a spoiler, And captured have been its mighty ones, Broken have been their bows, For the God of recompences — Jehovah — doth certainly repay.
57 “Ta bartekekto dagiti prinsipe, dagiti masirib, dagiti opisial, ken dagiti soldado daytoy, ket maturogdanto iti awan patinggana ken saandan a pulos a makariing —kastoy ti pakaammo ti Ari: Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin ti naganna.”
And I have caused its princes to drink, And its wise men, its governors, And its prefects, and its mighty ones, And they have slept a sleep age-during, And they awake not — an affirmation of the king, Jehovah of Hosts [is] His name.
58 kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin: Naan-anayto a marba dagiti napuskol a pader ti Babilonia, ken mapuoranto dagiti nangangato a ruangan daytoy. Ket awanto serserbi dagiti trabaho dagiti tattao nga umay tumulong iti daytoy; mapuoranto ti tunggal banag a padasen ti nasion nga aramiden para iti daytoy.”
Thus said Jehovah of Hosts, the wall of Babylon — The broad one — is utterly made bare, And her high gates with fire are burnt, And peoples labour in vain, And nations in fire, and have been weary!
59 Daytoy ti sao nga imbilin ni profeta Jeremias kenni Seraias a putot a lalaki ni Nerias a putot a lalaki ni Maasaias idi kimmuyog isuna kenni Zedekias nga ari ti Juda a napan idiay Babilonia iti maikapat a tawen ti panagturayna. Ita ni Seraias ti panguloen nga opisial.
The word that Jeremiah the prophet hath commanded Seraiah son of Neriah, son of Maaseiah, in his going with Zedekiah king of Judah to Babylon, in the fourth year of his reign — and Seraiah [is] a quiet prince;
60 Ta insurat ni Jeremias iti nalukot a pagbasaan ti maipanggep kadagiti amin a didigra nga umayto iti Babilonia—amin dagitoy a sasao a naisurat ket maipanggep iti Babilonia.
and Jeremiah writeth all the evil that cometh unto Babylon on one book — all these words that are written concerning Babylon.
61 Kinuna ni Jeremias kenni Seraias, “Inton mapanka idiay Babilonia, siguradoem a basaem amin dagitoy a sasao.
And Jeremiah saith unto Seraiah, 'When thou dost enter Babylon, then thou hast seen, and hast read all these words,
62 Ket ibagamto, 'Yahweh, sika! —sika a mismo ti nangibaga a dadaelem daytoy a lugar. Awanto ti agnaed iti daytoy, dagiti tattao man wenno dagiti ayup. Agnanayonto daytoy nga agbalin a langalang.'
and hast said: Jehovah, Thou, Thou hast spoken concerning this place, to cut it off, that there is none dwelling in it, from man even unto cattle, for it is a desolation age-during.
63 Ket inton malpasmo a basaen daytoy a nalukot a pagbasaan, mangigalutka iti bato iti daytoy ket ipuruakmo iti tengnga ti Eufrates.
And it hath come to pass, when thou dost finish reading this book, thou dost bind to it a stone, and hast cast it into the midst of Phrat,
64 Ibagam, 'Lumnedto ti Babilonia a kasla iti daytoy. Saanto a lumung-aw daytoy gapu iti didigra nga ibaonko a maibusor iti daytoy, ket mapasagdanto.”' Ditoy ti naggibusan dagiti sasao ni Jeremias.
and said, Thus sink doth Babylon, and it doth not arise, because of the evil that I am bringing in against it, and they have been weary.' Hitherto [are] words of Jeremiah.
