< Jeremias 48 >
1 Iti Moab, kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin a Dios ti Israel, “Asi pay ti Nebo, ta nadadaelen daytoy. Naparmeken ken naibabain ti Kiriataim. Narban ti sarikedkedna ken naibabain.
Of Moab, —Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts God of Israel, —Alas for Nebo, for it is laid waste, put to shame—captured, is Kiriathaim, put to shame is Misgab, and dismayed.
2 Awanen ti dayaw ti Moab. Dagiti kabusorda iti Hesbon ket nagpanggep iti dakes a maibusor iti kenkuana. Kinunada, 'Umaykayo ta dadaelentayo ti saadna a kas nasion. Mapukawto met ti Madmen-kamatennakanto ti kampilan.'
No more, is the praise of Moab, In Heshbon, have they devised against her, calamity, Come, and let us cut her off from being a nation, —Even thou, Madmen also, shalt be silenced, After thee, shall march the sword.
3 Denggem! Adda ikkis nga aggapu iti Horonaim, a nagbalinen a langalang ken dakkel a pannakadadael.
A voice of outcry, from Horonaim, —Wasting and great destruction!
4 Nadadaelen ti Moab. Impangngeg dagiti annakna dagiti sangitda.
Moab is broken: Her little ones, have caused to be heard an outcry.
5 Sumang-atda nga agsangsangit iti turod ti Luhit, ta iti dalan a sumalog a mapan iti Horonaim, mangngeg dagiti ikkis gapu iti pannakadadael.
For the ascent of Luhith, with weeping, one ascendeth—with weeping, —For in the descent of Horonaim, the distress of the outcry of destruction, have they heard:
6 Agtaraykayo! Ispalenyo dagiti biagyo ket agbalinkayo a kasla kadagiti kayo a juniper idiay let-ang.
Flee deliver your own lives, —Then shall the women be as a shrub in the desert.
7 Ta gapu iti panagtalekyo kadagiti ar-aramidenyo ken iti kinabaknangyo, matiliwkayonto met. Ket maipanawto a kas balud ni Kemos, agraman dagiti papadi ken dagiti mangidadaulona.
For seeing thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures, Thou too, shalt be captured, —Then shall Chemosh go forth into captivity, His priests and his princes together.
8 Ta umayto iti tunggal siudad ti manangdadael; awanto ti siudad a makalibas. Isu a mapukawto ti tanap ken madadaelto ti patad, a kas kinuna ni Yahweh.
And the spoiler shall enter into every city, And not, a city, shall escape, Then shall perish the vale Then be destroyed the table-land, —As Yahweh hath said.
9 Ikkanyo ti Moab kadagiti payak, ta masapul a tumayab isuna nga umadayo. Agbalinto a langalang dagiti siudadna, ket awan iti siasinoman nga agnaed kadagitoy.
Give wing to Moab, For she must, fly away; And her cities To desolation, shall be turned, With no inhabitant therein.
10 Mailunod koma ti siasinoman a masadut a mangaramid iti trabaho ni Yahweh! Mailunod koma ti siasinoman a saan a mangasut iti kampilanna tapno mangpasayasay iti dara!
Accursed be he that doeth the business of Yahweh carelessly; And, accursed be he that withholdeth his sword, from blood!
11 Nakarikna iti kinatalged ti Moab manipud kinaubingna. Maiyarig isuna iti arakna a saan pay a pulos a naiyakar iti sabali a banga. Saan pay isuna a naipanaw a kas balud. Isu a naimas ti ramanna a kas iti sigud; saan a nagbaliw ti ramanna.
Moab, hath been at ease from his youth, And settled is he upon his lees, And hath not been poured out from vessel to vessel, Nor into captivity, hath gone, —For this cause, hath his flavour stood still within him, And his scent is unchanged.
12 Isu a kitaem, dumtengen dagiti aldaw— daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh—inton ibaonko kenkuana dagiti mangibukbok kenkuana ken mangipakbo kadagiti amin a bangana ken mangburak kadagiti karambana.
Therefore, lo! days are coming, Declareth Yahweh, When I will send to him tilters and they shall tilt him, —And his vessels, shall they empty, And their jars, shall they dash in pieces.
13 Ket maibabainto ti Moab gapu kenni Kemos a kas iti pannakapabain ti balay ti Israel gapu kenni Betel, a pagtaltalkanda.
Then shall Moab, be ashamed, of, Chemosh, —Just as, the sons of Israel, were ashamed of Bethel their confidence.
14 Kasanoyo pay a maibaga, 'Soldadokami, mamaingel a mannakigubat a lallaki'?
How can ye say, Heroes, are we? and Men of might for the war?
15 Madadaelto ti Moab ken marautto dagiti siudad daytoy. Ta naipanen dagiti kalaingan nga agtutubona a lallaki iti disso a pakatayanda. Kastoy ti pakaammo ti ari! Yahweh a Mannakabalin amin ti naganna.
Spoiled is Moab And her cities, hath he ascended, And the choice of his young men, have gone down to the slaughter, —Declareth The King, Yahweh of hosts, is his Name.
16 Asidegen a mapasamak ti pannakadidigra ti Moab; agap-apura ti kalamidad.
Near is the doom of Moab, to come, —And, his calamity, hasteth greatly.
17 Agdung-awkayo amin nga adda iti aglawlaw ti Moab. Ket aminkayo a makaammo iti kinalatakna, ipukkawyo daytoy, 'Asi pay ti natibker a sarukod, a madaydayaw a sarukod, ta natukkolen.'
Lament ye for him—All that are round about him, and All that know his name, —Say, How is broken—The staff of strength! The rod of beauty!
18 Dakayo nga annak a babbai nga agnanaed dita Dibon, bumabakayo manipud iti madaydayaw a disso ket agtugawkayo iti namaga a daga. Ta ti mangdadaelto iti Moab ket dardarupennakayo, ti mangdadaelto kadagiti sarikedkedyo.
Come down from glory, and sit in thirst, O inhabitress daughter of Dibon; For the spoiler of Moab, hath come up against thee, He hath laid in ruins thy strongholds.
19 Dakayo a tattao nga agnanaed dita Aroer, agtakderkayo iti dalan ket agbuyakayo. Saludsudenyo kadagiti agtataray ken aglibllibas. Kunaenyo, 'Ania ti napasamak?'
Near the way, take thy stand and keep outlook, O inhabitress of Aroer: Ask—him that fleeth, and Her that hath escaped, Say, What hath happened?
20 Naibabainen ti Moab, ta nadadaelen daytoy. Aglaaw ken agdung-awkayo; agpaarayatkayo. Ibagayo kadagiti tattao nga adda iti igid ti Karayan Arnon a nadadaelen ti Moab.
Confounded is Moab! For it is broken down! Howl and make outcry, —Tell ye in Arnon, That Moab is spoiled;
21 Ita, dimtengen ti pannusa kadagiti katurturodan a pagilian, iti Holon, Jaza ken Mefat,
And, judgment, hath come Upon the country of the table-land, —Upon Holon, and Upon Jazer and Upon Mephaath;
22 iti Dibon, Nebo ken Bet Diblataim,
and Upon Dibon, and Upon Nebo, and Upon Beth-diblathaim;
23 iti Kiriataim, Bet Gamul ken Bet Meon,
and Upon Kiriathaim, and Upon Beth-gamul, and Upon Beth-meon;
24 iti Keriot ken Bosra, ken kadagiti amin a siudad iti daga ti Moab—kadagiti kaadaywan ken kaaasitgan a siudad.
and Upon Kerioth, and Upon Bozrah, —Yea, upon all the cities of the land of Moab, far and near.
25 Naputeden ti sara ti Moab; natukkolen ti takkiag daytoy—daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh.
Cut off is the horn of Moab, Yea, his arm, is broken, —Declareth Yahweh.
26 Bartekem isuna, ta nakatangtangsit isuna kaniak, a ni Yahweh. Ita pagtipaten ti Moab dagiti imana gapu iti pannakaalumiimna iti bukodna a sarua, isu a nagbalin met isuna a pagkakatawaan.
Make ye him drunken, Because against Yahweh, hath he magnified himself; So shall, Moab, stagger, into his own vomit, And shall become a derision, even he!
27 Ta saan aya a nagbalin a pagkakatawaan kenka ti Israel? Masarakan aya isuna kadagiti agtatakaw, ta iwingwingiwingmo ti ulom kenkuana bayat iti masansan a panangisasaom iti maipapan kenkuana?
And was it not, a derision, that Israel became to thee? And was it not among thieves, he was found? For, as often as thou didst speak of him, thou didst wag the head!
28 Kadagiti agnanaed iti Moab, panawanyo dagiti siudad ket agkampokayo kadagiti rangkis. Agbalinkayo a kasla kalapati nga agumok iti wangawangan ti abot dagiti kabatbatoan.
Leave ye the cities and dwell in the cliff, Ye inhabitants of Moab; And become ye as a dove, that maketh her nest in the further-side of the fissure’s mouth.
29 Nangngegmi ti kinatangsit ti Moab—ti kinalastogna, ti kinapannakkelna, ti kinakuspagna, ti kinapalangguadna ken ti kinatangsit ti pusona.
We have heard the arrogance of Moab—proud exceedingly: His loftiness and his arrogance and his majesty, and his elevation of heart!
30 Daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh—Ammok ti nakarit a panagsaona, nga awan serserbina, a kas met laeng kadagiti aramidna.
I know—Declareth Yahweh His passion—that’tis Unjust! His boastings, that Untrue have they made [them]!
31 Isu a dung-awakto ti Moab, ken agpukkawakto a silaladingit gapu iti entero a Moab. Agladingitakto gapu kadagiti tattao ti Kir Heres.
For this cause over Moab, will I howl, And for all Moab, will I make outcry, —For the men of Kir-heres, must one moan!
32 Lanut ti Sibma, ad-addanto ti panagsangitko gapu kenka ngem iti inaramidko iti Jaser! Bimmallasiw dagiti sangam iti Natay a Baybay ket dimmanonda agingga iti Jaser. Dinarup dagiti manangdadael ti bungam iti kalgaw ken ti arakmo.
Beyond the weeping of Jazer, will I weep for thee O vine of Sibmah, Thy tendrils, have gone over the sea, Unto the sea of Jazer, have they reached, Upon thy summer fruits And upon thy vintage, the spoiler, hath fallen.
33 Napukaw ngarud ti panagrambak ken panagrag-o manipud kadagiti agbungbunga a kayo ken iti daga ti Moab. Pinagpatenggak ti arak kadagiti pagpespesanda. Saandanton nga agibaddek a sididir-i. Aniaman a panagpukkaw ket saanto a pukkaw gapu iti rag-o.
So shall be withdrawn gladness and exultation—From the fruitful field and From the land of Moab, —And wine from the vats, have I caused to fail, They shall not tread with shouting, The shouting shall be no shouting!
34 Manipud iti panagpukkaw idiay Hesbon agingga idiay Eleale, mangngeg ti timekda idiay Jaaz, manipud Zoar agingga Horonaim ken Eglat Shelisiya, agsipud ta uray dagiti danum ti Nimrim ket natianan.
From the outcry of Heshbon, Even unto Elealeh Even unto Jahaz, have they given forth their voice, From Zoar even unto Horonaim, the third Eglath, —For, even the waters of Nimrim, to utter desolation, have been turned:
35 Ta pagsardengekto ti siasinoman idiay Moab nga agidatdaton kadagiti disso a pagdaydayawan ken ti siasinoman nga agpupuor iti insenso a maipaay kadagiti didiosenna—daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh.
Then will I cause to cease, from Moab, Declareth Yahweh, —him that offereth at a high-place, and him that burneth incense to his gods.
36 Isu a kasla pluta nga agdungdung-aw ti pusok para iti Moab. Agdungdung-aw ti pusok a kasla kadagiti pluta para kadagiti tattao ti Kir Heres. Napukawen dagiti kinabaknang a nagun-odda.
For this cause, my heart, for Moab, like flutes, shall make plaintive sounds, Yea my heart for the men of Kir-heres! like flutes, shall make plaintive sounds, Because, the abundance he hath gotten is lost!
37 Ta nakalboan ti tunggal ulo ken nakuskusan ti tunggal barbas. Tunggal ima ket adda sugatna, ken napalikmutan iti nakersang a lupot dagiti siketda.
For, every head, is baldness, And every beard, clipped: Upon all hands, are gashes, And upon the loins, sackcloth
38 Adda panagladingit kadagiti amin a disso, iti tunggal patag a tuktok ti balay iti Moab ken kadagiti disso disso a paguummongan iti Moab. Ta dinadaelko ti Moab a kasla la maysa kadagiti banga nga awan iti mangkayat—daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh.
Upon all the housetops of Moab And in her broadways, it is all lamentation, —For I have broken Moab—Like a vessel wherein is no pleasure Declareth Yahweh.
39 Anian ta naburak daytoy! Anian ti panaganug-ogda iti panagdung-awda! Timmallikud ti Moab gapu iti bain daytoy! Agbalin ngarud ti Moab a pagkakatawaan ken nakabutbuteng kadagiti amin nga adda iti aglawlawna.”
How it is broken down! They have howled, How hath Moab turned the back, for shame, —So shall Moab become a derision and a terror to all round about him.
40 Ta kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh, “Kitaem, umayto dagiti kabusor a kasla agtaytayab nga agila, nakaukrad dagiti payakna iti ngatoen ti Moab.
For, thus, saith Yahweh, Lo! as an eagle, shall one dart along, —And shall spread out his wings towards Moab.
41 Nasakupen ti Keriot, ken narban dagiti sarikedkedna. Ta iti dayta nga aldaw, agbalinto dagiti puso dagiti soldado ti Moab a kasla kadagiti puso dagiti babbai nga agpaspasikal.
Captured is Kerioth, And the fortresses, are seized, —Then shall the heart of the heroes of Moab become in that day, As the heart of a woman in her pains.
42 Madadaelto ngarud dagiti tattao ti Moab, yantangay ta nagbalinda a natangsit a maibusor kaniak, a ni Yahweh.
Then shall, Moab, be destroyed from being a people, —Because against Yahweh, hath he magnified himself.
43 Panagbuteng, abut ken silo ti dumtengto kadakayo nga agnanaed iti Moab-daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh.
Terror and pit and snare are upon thee O inhabitant of Moab Declareth Yahweh:
44 Siasinoman nga agtaray gapu iti buteng ket matnagto iti abut, ken siasinoman a kumalay-at a rummuar iti abut ket masiloanto, ta iyegkonto daytoy kadakuada iti tawen ti panagibalesko kadakuada— daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh.
He that fleeth from the face of the terror, Shall fall into the pit, And, he that getteth up out of the pit, Shall be captured by the snare, —For I will bring against her—against Moab, The year of their visitation, Declareth Yahweh.
45 Dagiti makalibas ket agkakapsutto nga agtakder iti aniniwan ti Hesbon, ta rummuarto ti apuy manipud iti Hesbon, gil-ayab manipud iti tengnga ti Sihon. Uramento daytoy ti muging ti Moab ken ti tuktok dagiti ulo dagiti napalangguad a tattao.
In the shadow of Heshbon, stand strengthless, the fugitives, —For, a fire, hath gone forth out of Heshbon And shall flame out of the midst of Sihon, And shall devour the beard of Moab, And the crown of the head of the proudly tumultuous.
46 Asika pay Moab! Nadadaelen dagiti tattao ni Kemos. Ta naipanawen dagiti annakmo a lallaki ken babbai a kas balud.
Woe to thee Moab! Lost are the people of Chemosh, —For thy sons have been taken, into captivity, And thy daughters into captivity.
47 Ngem isublikto ti kinabaknang ti Moab kadagiti maud-udi nga al-aldaw— daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh.” Ti pannakaukom ti Moab ket agpatingga ditoy.
Yet will I bring back the captivity of Moab, In the afterpart of the days, Declareth Yahweh, Thus far, is the sentence of Moab.
