< Jeremias 46 >

1 Daytoy ti sao ni Yahweh nga immay kenni Jeremias a profeta maipanggep kadagiti nasion.
The word of Jehovah that came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning the nations.
2 Maipapan iti Egipto: “Maipanggep daytoy iti armada ni Faraon Neco nga ari ti Egipto nga adda idiay Carkemis iti asideg ti Karayan Eufrates. Daytoy ti armada a pinarmek ni Nebucadnesar nga ari ti Babilonia iti maika-uppat a tawen a panagturay ni Jehoiakim a putot ni Josias, a kas ari ti Juda:
Of Egypt: concerning the army of Pharaoh-Necho king of Egypt, which was by the river Euphrates at Carchemish, which Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon smote in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, the king of Judah.
3 Isaganayo dagiti babassit ken dagiti dadakkel a kalasag, ket mapankayo makigubat.
Make ready buckler and shield, and draw near to battle!
4 Isaganayo dagiti kabalio ket agsakaykayo kadagitoy, dakayo a kumakabalio. Agpuestokayo, ken aghelmetkayo. Asaenyo dagiti gayang ken agkabalkayo.
Harness the horses, and mount ye horsemen, and stand forth with helmets; polish the spears, put on the coats of mail!
5 Ania ti makitak ditoy? Mabutbutengda unay ken agtatarayda, ta naparmeken dagiti soldadoda. Agtatarayda nga aglemmeng ket saanda a tumalliaw. Adda panagbuteng iti sadinoman—kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh—
Why do I see them dismayed, turned away back? And their mighty ones are beaten down, and take to flight, and look not back? Terror [is] on every side, saith Jehovah.
6 saan a makaadayo dagiti napartak a tumaray, ket saan a makalibas dagiti soldado. Maitibkolda iti amianan ket matumbada iti igid ti Karayan Eufrates.
Let not the swift flee away, neither let the mighty man escape! — Toward the north, hard by the river Euphrates, they have stumbled and fallen.
7 Siasino daytoy a dumakkel a kas iti Karayan Nilo, a dagiti danumna ket agallo-allon a kas kadagiti karayan?
Who is this [that] riseth up as the Nile, whose waters toss themselves like the rivers?
8 Dumakkel ti Egipto a kas iti Karayan Nilo, ket agallo-allon dagiti danumna a kas iti karayan. Kuna daytoy, 'Dumakkelak; lapunusek ti daga. Dadaelek dagiti siudad ken dagiti agnanaed kadagitoy.
It is Egypt that riseth up as the Nile, and [his] waters toss themselves like the rivers; and he saith, I will rise up, I will cover the earth; I will destroy the city and the inhabitants thereof.
9 Sumang-atkayo, dakayo a kabalio. Agungetkayo, dakayo a karuahe. Paruarenyo dagiti soldado, Cus ken Put, lallaki a maingel ken addaan kadagiti kalasag, ken Ludim, lallaki a nalaing a pumapana.'
Go up, ye horses, and drive furiously, ye chariots; and let the mighty men go forth: Cush and Phut that handle the shield, and the Ludim that handle the bow [and] bend it.
10 Daytanto ti aldaw a panagibales ti Apo a ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin, ket balsennanto dagiti kabusorna. Mangalun-onto ti kampilan ket mapnekto daytoy. Inumento daytoy dagiti darada. Ta addanto daton para iti Apo a ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin iti akin-amianan a daga iti igid ti Karayan Eufrates.
For this is the day of the Lord Jehovah of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may be avenged of his adversaries; and the sword shall devour, and it shall be sated and made drunk with their blood; for the Lord Jehovah of hosts hath a sacrifice in the north country, by the river Euphrates.
11 Sumang-atka idiay Galaad ket mangalaka iti agas, sika a birhen nga anak a babai ti Egipto. Awan serserbi ti panangikabilmo iti adu nga agas iti bagim. Awan ti makapaimbag kenka.
Go up to Gilead, and fetch balm, O virgin-daughter of Egypt! In vain shalt thou multiply remedies: there is no healing for thee.
12 Nangngeg dagiti nasion ti pannakaibabainmo. Napunno ti daga kadagiti panagdungdung-awmo, ta agdidinnungpar dagiti soldado; ket mapasagda a padapada.”
The nations have heard of thy shame, and thy cry hath filled the earth; for the mighty man stumbleth against the mighty, they are both fallen together.
13 Kastoy ti sao nga imbaga ni Yahweh kenni Jeremias a profeta idi immay ni Nebucadnesar nga ari ti Babilonia ket rinautna ti daga ti Egipto:
The word that Jehovah spoke to Jeremiah the prophet, concerning the coming of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon to smite the land of Egypt:
14 “Ipadamagmo iti Egipto ket ipangngegmo iti Migdol ken Memfis. Kinunada iti Tapanes, 'Agpuestokayo ken agsaganakayo, a mangikaluya kadagiti bagbagiyo, ta alun-unento ti kampilan dagiti amin nga adda iti aglawlawyo.
Declare in Egypt, and publish in Migdol, and publish in Noph, and in Tahpanhes; say, Stand fast, and prepare thee; for the sword devoureth round about thee.
15 Apay ngarud a timmaray ti didiosenyo a ni Apis? Apay a saan a makatakder ti didiosenyo a kalakian a baka. Tinulid isuna ni Yahweh.
Why are thy valiants swept away? They stood not, for Jehovah did thrust them down.
16 Naynayunanna ti bilang dagiti maitibtibkol. Matumtumba dagiti soldado ket uray da la agpipinnandag. Ibagbagada, “Tumakdertayo. Agawidtayon. Agsublitayo kadagiti tattaotayo, iti daga a nakaiyanakantayo. Panawantayon daytoy a kampilan a mangparparmek kadatayo.”
He made many to stumble, yea, one fell upon another; and they said, Arise, and let us return to our own people and to the land of our nativity, from the oppressing sword.
17 Imbagada sadiay, “Ni Faraon nga ari ti Egipto ket maysa laeng nga ariwawa, maysa a tao a nangitulok a mapukaw ti gundawayna.”
There did they cry, Pharaoh king of Egypt is but a noise; he hath let the time appointed go by.
18 “Siak a Dios nga adda iti agnanayon—kastoy ti pakaammo ti ari—ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin ti naganko, addanto umay a kas iti Bantay Tabor ken Bantay Carmel iti igid ti baybay.
[As] I live, saith the King, whose name is Jehovah of hosts, surely as Tabor among the mountains, and as Carmel by the sea, so shall he come.
19 Isaganayo dagiti gargaretyo para iti pannakaipanawyo a kas balud, dakayo nga annak a babbai nga agnanaed idiay Egipto. Ta ti Memfis ket agbalinto a makapabuteng ken langalang, isu nga awanto iti agnaed sadiay.
Thou, inhabitress, daughter of Egypt, furnish for thyself a captive's baggage, for Noph shall be a desolation and shall be ruined, so that none shall dwell therein.
20 Ti Egipto ket maysa a napintas nga urbon a baka, ngem umayto ti insekto nga agkagat a naggapu iti amianan. Umayto daytoy.
Egypt is a very fair heifer; the gad-fly cometh, it cometh from the north.
21 Dagiti natangdanan a soldadona ket kasla napalukmeg a baka, ngem agsanudda ken agtarayda. Saanda a sangsangkamaysa a makiranget, ta umayto ti aldaw ti pannakadidigrada, ti tiempo ti pannakadusada.
Also her hired men in the midst of her are like fatted bullocks; for they also have turned back, they have fled away together, they did not stand; for the day of their calamity is come upon them, the time of their visitation.
22 Agkarasakas ti Egipto a kas iti uleg ken aguyas nga umadayo, ta um-umayen dagiti kabusorna. Agturongda kenkuana a kas kadagiti lallaki a pumupukan iti kayo a nagtagiwasay.
Her voice shall go like a serpent's; for they shall march with an army, and come against her with axes, as hewers of wood.
23 Putdendanto dagiti kaykayo kadagiti kabakiran—kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh—uray no kabakbakiran daytoy. Ta ad-adunto dagiti kabusor ngem kadagiti dudon, a saan a mabilang.
They shall cut down her forest, saith Jehovah, though it be impenetrable; for they are more than the locusts, and are innumerable.
24 Mapabainanto ti anak a babai ti Egipto. Maiyawatto isuna kadagiti tattao a naggapu iti amianan.”
The daughter of Egypt is put to shame; she is delivered into the hand of the people of the north.
25 Kuna ni Yahweh a Mannakablin-amin a Dios ti Israel, “Dumngegkayo, dandanin ti panangdusak kenni Amon a didiosen ti Tebes, ni Faraon, iti Egipto ken kadagiti didiosenna, dagiti ari daytoy a Faraon, ken dagiti agtaltalek kadakuada.
Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, saith, Behold, I will punish Amon of No, and Pharaoh, and Egypt, and her gods, and her kings; yea, Pharaoh and them that confide in him.
26 Iyawatkonto ida kadagiti mangayat a mangkettel iti biagda, iti ima ni Nebucadnesar nga ari ti Babilonia ken kadagiti adipenna. Ket kalpasan daytoy, addanto manen agnaed iti Egipto a kas idi un-unana nga al-aldaw—kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh.”
And I will give them into the hand of those that seek their life, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of his servants; but afterwards it shall be inhabited, as in the days of old, saith Jehovah.
27 Ngem sika, Jacob nga adipenko, saanka nga agbuteng. Saanka a maupay, Israel, ta dumngegka, umadanin ti panangisublik kenka manipud iti adayo, ken dagiti kaputotam manipud iti daga a nakaipananda a kas balud. Ket agsublinto ni Jacob, makasarak iti kappia ken natalgedto, ket awanto ti siasinoman a mamagbuteng kenkuana.
But thou, my servant Jacob, fear not, neither be dismayed, Israel: for behold, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make [him] afraid.
28 Sika Jacob nga adipenko, saanka nga agbuteng—kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh—ta addaak kenka, iyegkonto ngarud ti naan-anay a pannakadadael maibusor kadagiti amin a nasion a nangiwarawaraak kenka. Ngem saanka a dadaelen a naan-anay. Ngem sililinteg nga aturenka ken dusaenkanto a dusaen.”'''
Fear thou not, my servant Jacob, saith Jehovah: for I am with thee; for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee, but I will not make a full end of thee; but I will correct thee with judgment, and I will not hold thee altogether guiltless.
