Jeremias 20
1 Ni Pasur a putot ni Immer a padi-isuna ket kangatoan nga opisial-nangngegna nga ipadpadto ni Jeremias dagitoy a sasao iti sangoanan ti balay ni Yahweh.
Now Pashur, the son of Immer, the priest, who was also chief overseer in the house of Jehovah, heard Jeremiah prophesying these things.
2 Isu a kinabil ni Pasur ni Jeremias a profeta ket kalpasanna, inkabilna isuna kadagiti tul-ong nga adda iti akinngato a Ruangan ti Benjamin iti balay ni Yahweh.
Then Pashur smote Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks, that were at the high gate of Benjamin, which was in the house of Jehovah.
3 Ket napasamak nga iti sumaruno nga aldaw, rinuk-atan ni Pasur ni Jeremias manipud iti tul-ong. Ket kinuna ni Jeremias kenkuana, “Saan a Pasur ti pangawag ni Yahweh iti naganmo, no di ket sika ni Magor Missabib.
And on the next day Pashur took Jeremiah out of the stocks. Then said Jeremiah to him, Jehovah calleth thee, not Pashur, but Magor-missabib [[not Safety on every side, but Terror on every side]].
4 Ta kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh, 'Makitamto, pagbalinenkanto a nakaal-alainggaget-sika ken dagiti amin nga ipatpategmo-ta mapasagdanto babaen kadagiti kampilan dagiti kabusorda ket maimatangamto daytoy. Iyawatkonto ti entero a Juda iti ima ti ari ti Babilonia. Pagbalinennanto ida a balud idiay Babilonia wenno rautenna ida babaen iti kampilan.
For thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I am about to make thee a terror to thyself and to all thy friends; and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, thine eyes looking on; and all Judah will I give into the hand of the king of Babylon, who shall carry them captive to Babylon, and shall smite them with the sword.
5 Itedkonto kenkuana amin a sanikua daytoy a siudad, amin a kinabaknang daytoy, amin a napapateg a banbanag nga adda iti daytoy, ken dagiti amin a gameng dagiti ari ti Juda. Ipaimakto amin dagitoy a banbanag kadagiti kabusoryo, ket samsamendanto dagitoy. Alaendanto dagitoy nga ipan idiay Babilonia.
And I will give all the wealth of this city, and all its possessions, and all its precious things, and all the treasures of the kings of Judah will I give, into the hand of their enemies, and they shall spoil them, and take them and carry them to Babylon.
6 Ngem sika, Pasur, ken dagiti amin nga agnanaed iti balaymo ket maitalawto a kas balud. Maipankanto idiay Babilonia ket sadiayto ti pakatayam. Sika ken amin dagiti ipatpategmo a nangipadtoam kadagiti inuulbod a banbanag ket maitanemto sadiay.'”
And thou, Pashur, and all that dwell in thy house, shall go into captivity; thou shalt go to Babylon, and there shalt thou die, and there shalt thou be buried, thou, and all thy friends, to whom thou hast prophesied falsely.
7 “Inallukoynak, O Yahweh. Pudno a naallukoyak. Sinakup ken pinarmeknak. Nagbalinak a pagkakatawaan. Inaldaw a linalaisdak dagiti tattao.
Thou didst persuade me, O Jehovah, and I was persuaded; Thou wast stronger than I, and didst prevail. But I am in derision daily, Every one mocketh me.
8 Ta tunggal agsaoak, ipukkawko nga iwaragawag, 'Kinaranggas ken pannakadadael.' Ket dagiti sasao ni Yahweh ket nagbalin a pannakaibabain ken pannakalalaisko iti inaldaw.
For whenever I speak, I cry out on account of violence, And complain of oppression; For the word of Jehovah bringeth upon me reproach, And daily derision.
9 No ibagak a, 'Saankon a panpanunoten ti maipanggep kenni Yahweh. Saankon nga iwaragawag ti naganna.' Ket kasla maysa nga apuy daytoy iti pusok, naipupok iti uneg dagiti tultulangko. Isu nga inkarigatak nga inibturan daytoy ngem saanko a kabaelan.
So I say, I will no more make mention of him, Nor speak any more in his name; But his word is in my heart like a burning fire, shut up in my bones, And I am weary with forbearing, And I cannot refrain.
10 Nangngegko dagiti dakes a panggepda kaniak manipud kadagiti amin a tattao iti aglawlaw. Ipulongtayo! Masapul nga ipulongtayo daytoy!' Dagiti nasinged kaniak, sipsiputanda ti panagbiddutko. Bareng no maallilaw isuna. Ta no kasta maparmektayo isuna ket makaibalestayo kenkuana.'
For I hear the slander of many, terror on every side; “Tell us something against him, and we will denounce him.” All my familiar friends, they who leave not my side, [[say, ]] “Perhaps he will be enticed, So that we may prevail against him, And take our revenge on him.”
11 Ngem adda kaniak ni Yahweh a kasla maysa a nasiglat a mannakigubat, isu a maitibkolto dagiti mangkamkamat kaniak. Saandak a maparmek. Kastanto unay ti pannakaibabainda, gapu ta saanda nga agballigi. Saanto nga agpatingga ti pannakaibabainda, saanto a pulos a malipatan daytoy.
But Jehovah is on my side, like a mighty champion, Therefore shall my persecutors stumble, and not prevail; They shall be covered with shame, because they act not wisely, —With everlasting shame, that shall not be forgotten.
12 Ngem Sika, O Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin, sika a mangsuksukimat iti nalinteg ken mangkitkita iti panunot ken iti puso. Ipakitam koma kaniak ti panagibalesmo kadakuada agsipud ta imparangko kenka ti kasasaadko.
O Jehovah of hosts, thou that provest the righteous, That seest the reins and the heart, Let me see thy vengeance on them, For to thee have I laid open my cause!
13 Agkantakayo para kenni Yahweh! Idaydayawyo ni Yahweh! Ta inispalna dagiti biag dagiti naparparigat manipud iti ima dagiti managdakdakes.
Sing to Jehovah! Praise ye Jehovah! For he delivereth the oppressed From the hand of evil-doers.
14 Mailunod koma ti aldaw a pannakaiyanakko. Saanmo koma nga impalubos a mabendisionan ti aldaw a panangipasngay ti inak kaniak.
Cursed be the day on which I was born; Let not the day on which my mother bore me be blessed!
15 Mailunod koma ti tao a nangipakaammo iti amak, ti nagkuna a, 'Maysa a lalaki ti putotmo, 'a makagapu iti nalaus a panagrag-o.
Cursed be the man who brought the tidings to my father, Saying, “A son is born to thee,” making him very glad!
16 Agbalin koma dayta a lalaki a kas kadagiti siudad a dinadael ni Yahweh, idi saanna dagitoy a kinaasian. Mangngegna koma ti asug iti parbangon ken mangngegna koma ti ariwawa ti gubat iti tengnga ti aldaw.
Let that man be like the cities which Jehovah overthrew, and relented not; Let him hear an outcry in the morning, And an alarm at noontide;
17 Mapasamak koma daytoy, agsipud ta saannak a pinapatay ni Yahweh iti aanakan wenno pinagbalin a tanemko ti tian ti inak, aanakan a masikog iti agnanayon.
Because he slew me not before I saw the light, So that my mother might have been my grave, And her womb have been great with me forever!
18 Apay pay laeng a naiyanakak isu a naimatangak dagiti riribuk ken ladingit, isu a napnoan dagiti aldawko iti pannakaibabain?”
Wherefore came I forth from the womb, to see weariness and sorrow, And that my days might be consumed in shame?
