< Isaias 5 >

1 Agkantaak man a maipaay iti ay-ayatek, maysa a kanta ti ay-ayatek a maipapan iti kaubasanna. Adda kaubasan ti ay-ayatek iti nagdam-eg unay a turod.
Now I will sing to [my] beloved a song of my beloved concerning my vineyard. [My] beloved had a vineyard on a high hill in a fertile place.
2 Kinalina daytoy ken inikkatna dagiti batbato, ken minulaanna daytoy kadagiti kasasayaatan nga ubas. Nangipatakder isuna iti torre iti tengnga daytoy ken nangipatakder pay iti pagpespesan ti ubas. Namnamaenna nga agbunga koma daytoy kadagiti nasayaat nga ubas ngem nagbunga daytoy iti balang nga ubas.
And I made a hedge round it, and dug a trench, and planted a choice vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and dug a place for the wine-vat in it: and I waited [for it] to bring forth grapes, and it brought forth thorns.
3 Isu nga ita, dakayo nga agnanaed iti Jerusalem ken tattao ti Juda; dakayo ti mangikeddeng kaniak ken iti kaubasak.
And now, you dwellers in Jerusalem, and [every] man of Juda, judge between me and my vineyard.
4 Ania pay koma ti rumbeng a naaramid iti kaubasak a saanko nga inaramid? Idi nangnamnamaak nga agbunga daytoy iti nasayaat nga ubas, apay a nagbunga daytoy iti balang nga ubas?
What shall I do any more to my vineyard, that I have not done to it? Whereas I expected [it] to bring forth grapes, but it has brought forth thorns.
5 Ita, ipakaammok kadakayo no ania ti aramidek iti kaubasak; ikkatekto dagiti mula a pannakaaladna; pagbalinek daytoy a pagpastoran; rebbaekto dagiti paderna, ket mabaddebaddekanto daytoy.
And now I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away its hedge, and it shall be for a spoil; and I will pull down its walls, and it shall be [left] to be trodden down.
6 Baybay-akto nga agbalin daytoy nga awan serserbina, ken saanto a maputdan wenno maruk-itan daytoy. Ngem agtubonto dagiti ruruot ken sisiit, bilinek pay dagiti ulep a saanda a tudoan daytoy.
And I will forsake my vineyard; and it shall not be pruned, nor dug, and thorns shall come up upon it as on barren land; and I will command the clouds to rain no rain upon it.
7 Ta ti kaubasan ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin ket ti balay ti Israel, ken dagiti tattao ti Juda ti maiyarig iti nasayaat a mulana; inurayna iti hustisia ngem ketdi panangpapatay ti adda; inurayna iti kinalinteg ngem ketdi, pukkaw a panagpaarayat ti adda.
For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Juda [his] beloved plant: I expected [it] to bring forth judgement, and it brought forth iniquity; and not righteousness, but a cry.
8 Asi pay dagiti agur-urnong kadagiti balbalay, dagiti agur-urnong kadagiti kataltalonan, inggana nga awanen ti mabati a siled, ket dakayo laeng ti mabati iti daga!
Woe [to them] that join house to house, and add field to field, that they may take away something of their neighbour's: will you dwell alone upon the land?
9 Kinunana kaniak ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin, adunto a balbalay ti awan ti nagianna, uray dagiti dadakkel ken dagiti napipintas a balbalay, awanto ti agnaed.
For these things have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts: for though many houses should be built, many and fair houses shall be desolate, and there shall be no inhabitants in them.
10 Gapu ta sangagalonto laeng nga arak ti mapataud manipud iti uppat nga ektaria ti kaubasan ken maysanto laeng nga epa ti mapataud iti maysa homer a bin-i a bukel.
For where ten yoke of oxen plough [the land] shall yield one, and he that sows six homers shall produce three measures.
11 Asi pay dagiti nasapa nga agririing iti bigat tapno agbiruk iti naingel a mainom; nga agtalinaed a siririing agingga iti tengnga ti rabii, agingga a parugsuen ida ti arak!
Woe [to them] that rise up in the morning, and follow strong drink; who wait [at it till] evening: for the wine shall inflame them.
12 Agdadayada nga addaan kadagiti arpa, panderata, tamburin, plauta ken arak, ngem saanda a bigbigen ti aramid ni Yahweh, wenno mapanunot dagiti aramid dagiti imana.
For they drink wine with harp, and lute, and drums, and pipes: but they regard not the works of the Lord, and consider not the works of his hands.
13 Ngarud, naipanaw a kas balud dagiti tattaok gapu iti kinakurang ti pannakaawat; agbisin dagiti mangidadaulo kadakuada, ken awan ti mainom dagiti adu a tattao.
Therefore my people have been taken captive, because they know not the Lord: and there has been a multitude of dead [bodies], because of hunger and of thirst for water.
14 Isu a naganasan ti patay ket ingngangana iti nalawa unay ti ngiwatna; dagiti mabigbigbig kadakuada, dagiti tattao, dagiti papanguloda, dagiti napalalo nga agragragsak ken dagiti nararagsak kadakuada, umulogdanto idiay Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
Therefore hell has enlarged its desire and opened its mouth without ceasing: and her glorious and great, and her rich and her pestilent men shall go down [into it]. (Sheol h7585)
15 Naibaba ti tao ken naipababa ti natan-ok a tao, ken nagdumog dagiti napalangguad.
And the mean man shall be brought low, and the great man shall be disgraced, and the lofty eyes shall be brought low.
16 Ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin ket naitan-ok gapu iti kinalintegna, ken ipakpakita ti Nasantoan a Dios ti kinasantona babaen iti kinalintegna.
But the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgement, and the holy God shall be glorified in righteousness.
17 Ket agarabto dagiti karnero a kas iti bukodda a pagaraban ken kadagiti nadadael a kinabaknang dagiti tattao ket agarabto dagiti urbon a karnero.
And they that were spoiled shall be fed as bulls, and lambs shall feed on the waste places of them that are taken away.
18 Asi pay dagiti mangguyguyod iti kinadakes babaen kadagiti tali ti kina-ubbaw ken dagiti mangguyguyod iti basol babaen iti maysa a tali ti kariton;
Woe [to them] that draw sins to them as with a long rope, and iniquities as with a thong of the heifer's yoke:
19 dagiti mangibagbaga, “Darasen koma ngarud ni Yahweh, darasenna koma ti agtignay, tapno makitatayo a mapasamak daytoy, ken matungpal koman ti panggep ti Nasantoan a Dios ti Israel, tapno maammoantayo dagitoy!”
who say, Let him speedily hasten what he will do, that we may see [it]: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel come, that we may know [it].
20 Asi pay dagiti mangibagbaga a ti dakes ket nasayaat ken ti nasayaat ket dakes; a mangibagbag nga iti sipnget ket lawag ken ti lawag ket sipnget; a mangibagbaga nga iti napait ket nasam-it ken iti nasam-it ket napait!
Woe [to them] that call evil good, and good evil; who make darkness light, and light darkness; who make bitter sweet, and sweet bitter.
21 Asi pay dagiti nasirib kadagiti bukodda a panagkita ken dagiti nasirib kadagiti bukodda a pannakaawat!
Woe [to them] that are wise in their own conceit, and knowing in their own sight.
22 Asi pay dagiti nalatak iti panaginom iti arak ken dagiti nalalaing nga agtimpla kadagiti naingel a mainom;
Woe to the strong [ones] of you that drink wine, and the mighty [ones] that mingle strong drink:
23 a mangwayawaya kadagiti nadangkes no mapasuksukonda, ken ipaidamda kadagiti awanan-basol ti kalinteganda!
who justify the ungodly for rewards, and take away the righteousness of the righteous.
24 Ngarud, kas iti pananguram ti apoy kadagiti punget ti mula, ken kas iti pannakauram iti nagango a ruot, kasta met a malungtot dagiti ramotda, ken maiyangin dagiti sabongda a kasla tapok, gapu ta linaksidda ti linteg ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin, ken inuyawda ti sao ti Nasantoan a Dios ti Israel.
Therefore as stubble shall be burnt by a coal of fire, and shall be consumed by a violent flame, their root shall be as chaff, and their flower shall go up as dust: for they rejected the law of the Lord of hosts, and insulted the word of the Holy One of Israel.
25 Ngarud, napasgedan ti pungtot ni Yahweh kadagiti tattaona, ken inyunnatna ti imana a maibusor kadakuada ken dinusana ida; nagpigerger dagiti banbantay, ken dagiti bangkayda ket kasla basura a nagkaiwara kadagiti kalsada. Iti laksid amin dagitoy, saan a bimmaaw ti pungtot ni Yahweh, ngem nakalayat pay laeng ti imana a mangdusa manen.
Therefore the Lord of hosts was greatly angered against his people, and he reached forth his hand upon them, and struck them: and the mountains were troubled, and their carcasses were as dung in the midst of the way: yet for all this his anger has not been turned away, but his hand is yet raised.
26 Ingatonanto ti bandera a pagilasinan ti maysa a nasion manipud iti adayo ken paswitanna ida manipud iti pungto ti daga. Kitaenyo, umayda a dagus ken sipapardas.
Therefore shall he lift up a signal to the nations that are afar, and shall hiss for them from the end of the earth; and, behold, they are coming very quickly.
27 Awan kadakuada ti mabannog wenno maitibkol; awan ti makaridep wenno makaturog; wenno malukayan dagiti barikesda, wenno mapugsat ti galut dagiti sandaliasda,
They shall not hunger nor be weary, neither shall they slumber nor sleep; neither shall they loose their girdles from their loins, neither shall their shoe-latchets be broken.
28 natirad dagiti panada ken naibiat amin dagiti baida, kasla landok dagiti kuko dagiti kabalioda, ken kasla bagyo dagiti pilid ti karwaheda.
Whose arrows are sharp, and their bows bent; their horses' hoofs are counted as solid rock: their chariot-wheels are as a storm.
29 Kaslanto ngenger iti leon ti ngerngerda, agngerngerdanto a kas kadagiti ubbing a leon. Agngerngerdanto sada tiliwen ti anupenda, ket iguyoddanto daytoy nga iyadayo, nga awan ti mangispal.
They rage as lions, and draw near as a lion's whelps: and he shall seize, and roar as a wild beast, and he shall cast [them] forth, and there shall be none to deliver them.
30 Iti dayta nga aldaw, ngerngerandanto ti anupenda a kas iti daranudor iti baybay. No adda mangtannawag iti daga, kinasipnget ken panagsagaba ti makitada, ket langibanto ti nangisit nga ulep ti lawag.
And he shall roar on account of them in that day, as the sound of the swelling sea; and they shall look to the land, and, behold, [there shall be] thick darkness in their perplexity.
