< Isaias 42 >
1 Adtoy, ti adipenko, ti pabpabilegek; ti pinilik, isuna a pakaragsakak. Inkabilko ti Espirituk kenkuana; iyegnanto ti kinalinteg kadagiti nasion.
Behold, My servant, I take hold on Him, My Chosen One—My soul has accepted, I have put My Spirit on Him, He brings forth judgment to nations.
2 Saanto isuna nga agikkis wenno agpukkaw, wenno ipangngeg ti timekna kadagiti kalkalsada.
He does not cry, nor lift up, Nor cause His voice to be heard in the street.
3 Saanna a tukkolen ti naparpar a runo, ken ti nakudrep a pabilo ket saannanto nga iddepen; sipupudnonto nga ipatungpalna ti kinalinteg.
A bruised reed He does not break, And faded flax He does not quench, He brings forth judgment to truth.
4 Saanto isuna a kumapsut wenno maupay agingga a naipasdeknan ti kinalinteg iti rabaw ti daga; ket aguray iti lintegna dagiti daga iti igid ti baybay.
He does not become weak nor bruised, Until He sets judgment in the earth, And islands wait with hope for His law.
5 Daytoy ti ibagbaga ti Dios a ni Yahweh, isuna a namarsua kadagiti langit ken nangukrad kadagitoy; isuna a nangukrad iti lubong ken mangmangted iti biag iti daytoy; isuna a mangmangted iti anges kadagiti tattao iti daytoy, ken biag kadagiti agnanaed iti daytoy;
Thus said God, YHWH, Creating the heavens, and stretching them out, Spreading out the earth and its productions, Giving breath to the people on it, And spirit to those walking in it.
6 “Siak a ni Yahweh, inayabanka iti kinalinteg ket kibinenkanto. Aywanankanto ken isaadkanto a kas katulagan kadagiti tattao, a kas lawag kadagiti Hentil,
I, YHWH, called you in righteousness, And I lay hold on your hand, and keep you, And I give you for a covenant of a people, And a light of nations.
7 tapno luktam dagiti mata dagiti bulag, tapno wayawayaam dagiti balud manipud iti nasipnget a pagbaludan, ken dagiti agtugtugaw iti nasipnget iti balay a pagbaludan.
To open the eyes of the blind, To bring forth the bound one from prison, Those sitting in darkness from the house of restraint.
8 Siak ni Yahweh, dayta ti naganko; ket saanko nga ibingay ti dayagko iti dadduma wenno ti dayawko kadagiti kinitikitan a didiosen.
I [am] YHWH, this [is] My Name, And I do not give My glory to another, Nor My praise to carved images.
9 Kitaenyo, napasamaken dagiti immuna a banbanag, ita, ipakaammokon dagiti baro a mapasamak. Sakbay a mangrugi a mapasamak dagitoy, ibagakon kadakayo ti maipapan kadagitoy.”
The former things, behold, have come, And I am declaring new things, Before they spring up I cause you to hear.
10 Kantaanyo ni Yahweh iti baro a kanta, ken pagdayawna kenkuana manipud iti pungto ti daga; dakayo a sumalsalog iti baybay, ken amin nga adda iti daytoy, dagiti daga iti igid ti baybay ken dagiti agnanaed kadagitoy.
Sing a new song to YHWH, His praise from the end of the earth, You who are going down to the sea, and its fullness, Islands, and their inhabitants.
11 Agikkis koma ti disierto ken dagiti siudad, agpukkaw koma gapu iti rag-o dagiti rehion iti Kedar! Agkanta koma dagiti agnanaed iti Sela; agpukkawda koma manipud kadagiti tapaw ti bantay.
The wilderness and its cities lift up [their voice], Kedar inhabits the villages, The inhabitants of Sela sing, They cry from the top of mountains.
12 Idaydayawda koma ni Yahweh ken ipakaammoda ti dayawna kadagiti daga iti igid ti baybay.
They ascribe to YHWH glory, And they declare His praise in the islands.
13 Rummuarto ni Yahweh a kas maysa a mannakigubat; mapanto isuna a kas maysa a mannakigubat. Ipakitananto ti pungtotna. Agpukkawto isuna, wen, agpukkawto isuna iti pukkaw ti gubat; ipakitananto kadagiti kabusorna ti pannakabalinna.
YHWH goes forth as a mighty one. He stirs up zeal as a man of war, He cries, indeed, He shrieks, He shows Himself mighty against His enemies.
14 Nabayag a panawen a nagulimekak; nagtatalnaak ken ginawidak ti bagik; ita, agikkisak a kas iti babai nga agpaspasikal; agangsabak ken agal-alak.
I have kept silent from of old, I keep silent, I refrain Myself, I cry out as a travailing woman, I desolate and swallow up together.
15 Rebbaekto dagiti banbantay ken dagiti turturod ket pagangoekto dagiti mulmulada; pagbalinekto nga isla dagiti karayan ken pagmagaekto dagiti dan-aw.
I make desolate mountains and hills, And I dry up all their herbs, And I have made rivers become islands, And I dry up ponds.
16 Iyegkonto dagiti bulsek babaen iti dalan a saanda nga ammo; idalankonto ida kadagiti dalan a saanda nga ammo. Pagbalinekto a lawag ti kinasipnget iti sangoananda, ken pagbalinekto a nalinteg dagiti nakillo a disso. Dagitoy dagiti banbanag nga aramidekto ket saankonto ida a panawan.
And I have caused the blind to go, In a way they have not known, I cause them to tread in paths they have not known, I make a dark place become light before them, And unleveled places become a plain, These [are] the things I have done to them, And I have not forsaken them.
17 Mailaksiddanto, maibabaindanto a naan-anay, isuda nga agtaltalek kadagiti kinitikitan nga imahe, a mangibagbaga kadagiti nakitikatan nga imahe, “Dakayo dagiti diosmi.”
Removed backward—utterly ashamed, Are those trusting in a carved image, Those saying to a molten image, “You [are] our gods.”
18 Denggenyo, dakayo a tuleng; ken kitaenyo dakayo a bulag tapno makitayo.
You deaf, hear; and you blind, look to see.
19 Siasino ti bulag, no saan a ti adipenko? Wenno tuleng a kas iti mensahero nga imbaonko? Adda kadi bulag a kas iti nakitulagak, wenno bulag a kas iti adipen ni Yahweh?
Who [is] blind but My servant? And deaf as My messenger I send? Who [is] blind as he who is at peace, Indeed, blind, as the servant of YHWH?
20 Adu dagiti banbanag a makitkitayo ngem saanyo a maawatan; nakalukat dagiti lapayag ngem awan ti dumdumngeg.
Seeing many things, and you do not observe, Opening ears, and he does not hear.
21 Makaay-ayo kenni Yahweh a dayawen ti kinalintegna ken itan-ok ti lintegna.
YHWH has delight for the sake of His righteousness, He magnifies law, and makes honorable.
22 Ngem dagitoy a tattao ket natakawan ken nasamsaman; naipalab-ogda amin kadagiti ab-abut, naipupokda kadagiti pagbaludan; nasamsamda nga awan ti siasinoman a mangispal kadakuada, ken awan ti siasinoman a nagkuna, “Isubliyo ida!”
And this [is] a people seized and spoiled, Snared in holes—all of them, And they were hidden in houses of restraint, They have been for a prey, And there is no deliverer, A spoil, and none is saying, “Restore.”
23 Siasino kadakayo ti mangipangagto iti daytoy? Siasinonto ti mangipangag ken mangdengngeg iti masakbayan?
Who among you gives ear [to] this? Attends, and hears afterward?
24 Siasino ti nangiyawat kenni Jacob kadagiti mannanakaw, ken ti Israel kadagiti tulisan? Saan aya a ni Yahweh, a nagbasolantayo, nga akin-wagas iti nagkedkedanda nga aramiden, ken akin-linteg iti nagkedkedanda a pagtulnogan?
Who has given Jacob for a spoil, And Israel to the spoilers? Is it not YHWH—He against whom we sinned? Indeed, they have not been willing to walk in His ways, Nor have they listened to His law.
25 Isu nga imparukpokna ti nakaro a pungtotna maibusor kadakuada, nga addaan iti pannakadadael babaen iti gubat. Simged daytoy iti aglawlawda ngem saanda a naamiris daytoy; inuramna ida ngem saanda a pinagan-ano.
And He pours fury on him, His anger, and the strength of battle, And it sets him on fire all around, And he has not known, And it burns against him, and he does not lay it to heart!
