< Isaias 29 >

1 Asi pay ti Ariel, Ariel, ti siudad a nagkampoan ni David! Kada tawen; agrambakkayo kadagiti fiesta.
Woe to Ariel! Ariel, the city where David encamped! Add year to year; let the feasts come around;
2 Ngem lakkubekto ti Ariel, ket agladingit ken agdung-awto daytoy; ket agbalinto daytoy kaniak a kas iti Ariel.
then I will distress Ariel, and there will be mourning and lamentation. She shall be to me as an altar hearth.
3 Agkampoakto iti aglawlawyo ket lakubenkayonto babaen kadagiti nangangato nga alad a naaramid iti natiradan a kayo, ken pangatoekto dagiti aramatek a panglakubko kadakayo.
I will encamp against you all around you, and will lay siege against you with posted troops. I will raise siege works against you.
4 Maipababakayonto ken agsaokayonto manipud iti daga; agtaudto iti tapok ti saoyo. Kaslanto timek ti al-allia manipud iti uneg ti daga ti timekyo, ket nakapsutto unay ti saoyo manipud iti tapok.
You will be brought down, and will speak out of the ground. Your speech will mumble out of the dust. Your voice will be as of one who has a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and your speech will whisper out of the dust.
5 Ti bunggoy dagiti mangraraut kadakayo ket kaslanto napino a tapok, ken kaslanto taep a maiyangin dagiti adu a naulpit a tattao. Mapasamakto daytoy a saan a mapakpakadaan, iti apagdarikmat.
But the multitude of your foes will be like fine dust, and the multitude of the ruthless ones like chaff that blows away. Yes, it will be in an instant, suddenly.
6 Dusaennakayonto ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin babaen iti gurruod, ginggined, napigsa a tagari, napigsa nga angin ken naranggas a bagyo, ken gil-ayab ti makauram nga apuy.
She will be visited by the LORD of Hosts with thunder, with earthquake, with great noise, with whirlwind and storm, and with the flame of a devouring fire.
7 Maiyarigto daytoy iti maysa a tagtagainep, maysa a sirmata iti rabii: Ti bunggoy dagiti amin a nasion ket makirangetto iti Ariel ken iti sarikedked daytoy. Rautendanto daytoy ken dagiti pagsamsammakedan daytoy tapno maimameg daytoy.
The multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all who fight against her and her stronghold, and who distress her, will be like a dream, a vision of the night.
8 Maiyarigto daytoy iti maysa a mabisin a tao nga agtagtagainep a mangmangan, ngem no makariing ket awan karga ti buksitna. Maiyarigto daytoy iti maysa a mawaw a tao nga agtagtagainep nga umin-inum, ngem no makariing ket matalimudaw isuna ken saan a maep-ep ti pannakawawna. Wen, ket kastanto ti kaiyarigan ti bunggoy dagiti nasion a mangraut iti Bantay Sion.
It will be like when a hungry man dreams, and behold, he eats; but he awakes, and his hunger isn’t satisfied; or like when a thirsty man dreams, and behold, he drinks; but he awakes, and behold, he is faint, and he is still thirsty. The multitude of all the nations that fight against Mount Zion will be like that.
9 Pagsiddaawenyo dagiti bagbagiyo ket agsiddaawkayo; pagbulsekenyo dagiti bagbagiyo ket agbulsekkayo! Agbartekkayo, ngem saan a babaen iti arak; agdiwerdiwerkayo ngem saan a gapu iti arak.
Pause and wonder! Blind yourselves and be blind! They are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.
10 Ta imbukbok ni Yahweh kadakayo ti espiritu ti pannakarnek iti turog. Pinagkidemna dagiti matayo, dakayo a profeta, ken inabbunganna dagiti uloyo, dakayo a makakitkita iti masakbayan.
For the LORD has poured out on you a spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes, the prophets; and he has covered your heads, the seers.
11 Dagiti amin a paltiing ket nagbalin kadakayo a kas kadagiti sasao iti libro a naselioan, a mabalin nga ited ti maysa a tao iti nakaadal, a kunana, “Basaem daytoy.” Kunana met, “Saanko a mabasa ta naselioan daytoy.”
All vision has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one who is educated, saying, “Read this, please;” and he says, “I can’t, for it is sealed;”
12 No maited ti libro iti tao a saan a makabasa, kunana, “Basaem daytoy,” ibagana, “Saanak a makabasa.”
and the book is delivered to one who is not educated, saying, “Read this, please;” and he says, “I can’t read.”
13 Kinuna ti Apo, “Umas-asideg kaniak dagitoy a tattao babaen kadagiti ngiwatda ken daydayawendak babaen kadagiti bibigda, ngem adayo kaniak dagiti pusoda. Ti panangdaydayawda kaniak ket bilin nga insuro dagiti tattao.
The Lord said, “Because this people draws near with their mouth and honours me with their lips, but they have removed their heart far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment of men which has been taught;
14 Ngarud, kitaenyo, ituloykonto ti mangaramid iti nakaskasdaaw a banag kadagitoy a tattao, agsasaruno a nakakaskasdaaw. Agpukawto ti kinasirib dagiti masirib a tattaoda, ken mapukawto ti pannakaawat dagiti nanakman a tattaoda.”
therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work amongst this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder; and the wisdom of their wise men will perish, and the understanding of their prudent men will be hidden.”
15 Asi pay dagiti nainget a mangilemmeng kadagiti panggepda kenni Yahweh, ken dagiti adda iti kinasipnget ti aramidda. Kunada, “Siasino koma ngay ti makakitkita kadatayo, ken makaam-ammo kadatayo?
Woe to those who deeply hide their counsel from the LORD, and whose deeds are in the dark, and who say, “Who sees us?” and “Who knows us?”
16 Binallikogyo dagiti banbanag! Mabalin kadi a maibilang a pitak ti agdamdamili, tapno ti banag a naaramid ket maibagana maipapan iti nangaramid kenkuana a, “Saannak nga inaramid,” wenno ti banag a nasukog ket ibagana maipapan iti nangsukog kenkuana a, “Saan isuna a makaawat?”
You turn things upside down! Should the potter be thought to be like clay, that the thing made should say about him who made it, “He didn’t make me;” or the thing formed say of him who formed it, “He has no understanding”?
17 Iti mabiit laeng a panawen, agbalinto a talon ti Lebanon, ken agbalinto a kabakiran ti talon.
Isn’t it yet a very little while, and Lebanon will be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field will be regarded as a forest?
18 Iti dayta nga aldaw mangngegto ti tuleng dagiti sasao ti maysa a libro, ken makakitanto dagiti mata ti bulsek manipud iti nakaro a sipnget.
In that day, the deaf will hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind will see out of obscurity and out of darkness.
19 Agrag-onto manen kenni Yahweh dagiti naidadanes, ken agrag-onto iti Nasantoan ti Israel dagiti nakurapay a tattao.
The humble also will increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor amongst men will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
20 Ta agsardengto dagiti naulpit, ken agpukawto ti managuyaw. Dagiti amin a mangay-ayat nga agaramid iti dakes ket mapukawto,
For the ruthless is brought to nothing, and the scoffer ceases, and all those who are alert to do evil are cut off—
21 dagiti tattao a ti saoda ket pagbalinenna a nakabasol ti maysa a tao. Mangipakatda iti silo para kadagiti mangbirbirok iti hustisia iti ruangan ken imamegda dagiti nalinteg babaen iti panagulbodda.
who cause a person to be indicted by a word, and lay a snare for one who reproves in the gate, and who deprive the innocent of justice with false testimony.
22 Ngarud, daytoy ti kuna ni Yahweh maipapan iti balay ni Jacob— ni Yahweh, a nangsubbot kenni Abraham, “Saanton nga agbain ni Jacob, wenno agpusyaw ti rupana.
Therefore the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, says concerning the house of Jacob: “Jacob shall no longer be ashamed, neither shall his face grow pale.
23 Ngem inton makitana dagiti annakna, ti aramid dagiti imak, pagbalinendanto a nasantoan ti naganko. Pagbalinendanto a nasantoan ti nagan ti Nasantoan ni Jacob ken agbutengdanto iti Dios ti Israel.
But when he sees his children, the work of my hands, in the middle of him, they will sanctify my name. Yes, they will sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and will stand in awe of the God of Israel.
24 Dagiti agbiddut iti naespirituan ket magun-oddanto ti pannakaawat, ken makasursuronto dagiti managriri.”
They also who err in spirit will come to understanding, and those who grumble will receive instruction.”
