< Isaias 24 >
1 Kitaem, pukawento ni Yahweh ti linaon ti daga, dadaelennanto daytoy, gusogusoennanto ti rabaw daytoy, ken warawaraenna dagiti agnanaed iti daytoy.
Behold, the Lord maketh empty the land, and layeth it waste, marreth its surface, and scattereth abroad its inhabitants.
2 Mapasamakto a no ania ti mapasamak iti tattao, ket kasta met iti padi; no kasano iti adipen, ket kasta met iti amongna; no kasano ti tagabo a babai ket kasta met iti amongna a babai; no kasano iti gumatgatang, kasta met iti aglaklako; no kasano iti agpapautang, kasta met iti umut-utang; no kasano iti umaw-awat iti porsiento ti kuarta, ket kasta met iti mangmangted iti porsiento ti kuarta.
And it shall be with the people as with the priest; with the servant as with his master; with the bondwoman as with her mistress; with the buyer as with the seller; with the lender as with the borrower; with the debtor as with his creditor.
3 Madadaelto a naan-anay ti daga ket mapukawto a maminpinsan dagiti amin a banag nga adda iti daytoy; ta imbaga ni Yahweh daytoy a sao.
Empty, emptied out shall be the land, and spoiled, utterly spoiled; for the Lord hath spoken this word.
4 Agmaga ti daga ken agtikag, agangrag ken mapukaw ti lubong, agkapuyto dagiti mabigbigbig a tattao ti daga.
The land mourneth, withereth away, the world languishes, withereth away, the high ones of the people of the land do languish.
5 Ti daga ket rinugitan dagiti agbibiag iti daytoy gapu ta sinukirda dagiti linteg, sinalungasingda dagiti bilbilin, ken linabsingda ti agnanayon a katulagan.
For the land was defiled under its inhabitants; because they had transgressed the laws, neglected the statutes, broken the everlasting covenant.
6 Ngarud, mailunod ti ti daga, ken naduktalan a nagbasol dagiti agnanaed iti daytoy. Mauram dagiti agnanaed iti daga, ket manmano a tattao ti nabati.
Therefore hath the curse devoured the land, and they that dwell therein suffer for their guilt; therefore are the inhabitants of the land dried up, and but few men are left.
7 Agmaga ti baro nga arak, magango ti lanut ti ubas, agasogto dagiti amin nga addaan ragsak iti puso.
The new wine mourneth, the vine languisheth, all the merry-hearted sigh.
8 Sumardeng ti naragsak nga uni dagiti pandereta, ken dagiti ariwawa dagiti agragragsak; sumardeng ti rag-o ti lira.
At rest is the mirth of the tambourines; ceased hath the tumult of the joyful; at rest is the mirth of the harp.
9 Saandanton nga uminom iti arak ken saandanton nga agkanta, ket napaitton ti arak kadagiti uminom iti daytoy.
Amidst singing shall they no [more] drink wine; bitter shall be the strong drink to those that drink it.
10 Nadadaelen ti siudad a napnoan iti riribuk; naiserra ken awanen ti nagian ti tunggal balay.
Broken down is the city of desolation; shut up is every house that none can enter.
11 Adda panagsangsangit kadagiti kalsada gapu iti arak; simmipnget amin a rag-o, napukaw ti kinaragsak ti daga.
A [painful] cry for wine is in the streets; darkened is all joy; banished is the mirth of the land.
12 Iti siudad ket pasig a pannakadadael ti adda, ken ti ruangan ket narakrak.
Destruction is left in the city, in ruins is beaten the gate.
13 Ta kastoyto ti mapasamak kadagiti nasion iti entero a daga, kaslanto iti mapasamak no kasta a magunggon ti kayo nga olibo, kas iti mapasamak no kasta a malpasen ti panagaapit iti ubas.
For thus shall it be in the midst of the land among the nations, as [at] the shaking of an olive-tree, as [at] the gleaning of grains when the vintage is done.
14 Ipigsadanto dagiti timekda ket ipukkawda ti kinatan-ok ni Yahweh, ken sirarag-oda nga agpukkaw manipud iti taaw.
These shall lift up their voice, they shall sing; because of the majesty of the Lord, they shout aloud from the sea.
15 Ngarud, iti daya, idayawyo ni Yahweh, ken kadagiti isla ti taaw, idayawyo ti nagan ni Yahweh a Dios ti Israel.
Therefore in the valleys honor ye the Lord; in the isles of the sea, the name of the Lord the God of Israel.
16 Manipud iti kaadayoan a paset ti daga, nakanggegkami kadagiti kankanta, “Dayaw ti maipaay iti nalinteg!” Ngem kinunak, “Kimmapuyakon, kimmapuyakon, asiak pay! Kasta unay ti panangliput dagiti mangliliput; wen, kasta unay ti panangliput dagiti mangliliput.”
From the edge of the earth have we heard songs, “Glory to the righteous.” But I said, “Evil is mine, evil is mine, woe is me! the treacherous have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous have dealt very treacherously.”
17 Dumtengto kadakayo nga agnanaed ditoy daga ti panagbuteng, ti abut ken ti palab-og.
Fear, and the pit, and the snare are upon thee, O inhabitant of the land.
18 Siasinoman a tumaray manipud iti uni ti nakabutbuteng ket matnag iti abut, ket siasinoman a rummuar manipud iti tengnga ti abut ket matiliwto iti palab-og. Aglukatto dagiti tawa ti langit, ken aggungonto dagiti pundasion ti daga.
And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the call of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be caught in the snare; for the windows from on high are opened, and there quaked the foundations of the earth.
19 Maminpinsanto a madadael ti daga, agguddua ti daga; aggunggonto ti kasta unay ti daga.
Crushed entirely is the earth, split in pieces is the earth, shaken to its centre is the earth.
20 Agdiwerdiwerto ti daga a kasla iti nabartek ken agpallapallayogto a kasla indayon. Ti nagbasolanna ket nadagsento iti daytoy, ket matumbanto ket saanton a makabangon pay.
The earth reeleth to and fro like a drunkard, and vibrateth like a watch-hut; and heavily lieth upon it its transgression; and it shall fall, and not rise again.
21 Mapasamakto iti dayta nga aldaw a dusaen ni Yahweh dagiti dakes nga espiritu, ken dagiti ar-ari iti rabaw ti daga.
And it shall come to pass on that day, that the Lord will visit punishment on the host of heaven in heaven, and on the kings of the earth upon the earth.
22 Maummongdanto, maipupokdanto iti abut, ken maipupokdanto iti pagbaludan; ket kalpasan iti adu nga al-aldaw madusadanto.
And they shall be gathered in heaps, as prisoners, in the prison, and shall be shut up in the dungeon, and thus after many days shall they be punished.
23 Ket mabainto ti bulan, ken maawananto iti dayaw ti init, ta agarinto ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin idiay Bantay Sion, idiay Jerusalem ken iti sangoanan dagiti panglakayenna.
And the moon shall be put to the blush, and the sun be made ashamed; for the Lord of hosts will reign on mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients in glory.
