Isaias 21
1 Ti pakaammo maipanggep iti disierto nga adda iti igid ti baybay. Kas iti napigsa nga angin a dumalapus iti Negev, lumasatto daytoy manipud iti let-ang, manipud iti nakabutbuteng a daga.
The doom of the desert by the sea. As tempests in the south blow with fury; so doth it come from the desert, from a terrible land.
2 Maysa a makapaupay a sirmata ti naited kaniak: ti mangliliput a tao ket agtigtignay a sililiput, ken ti manangdadael ket mangdaddadael. Sumang-at ket rumautkayo, Elam; manglakubkayo, Media; Pasardengekto amin ti panagas-asugna.
A hard vision hath been told unto me; the traitor dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. “Go up, O 'Elam; besiege, O Media;” all sighing have I caused to cease.
3 Gapu iti daytoy, nakariknaak iti ut-ot kadagiti lumok; ti ut-ot a kas iti ut-ot ti agpasikal a babai ti nangtengngel kaniak; napadumogak iti nangngegak; naburiburak iti nakitak.
Therefore are my loins filled with pain; pangs have seized me, like the pangs of a woman that travaileth: I am too much cramped to hear; I am too much dismayed to see.
4 Agkibkibbayo ti barukongko; agtigtigergerak iti buteng; ti rabii a segseggaak ket nagbalin a nakabutbuteng kaniak.
My heart wandereth astray, dread affrighteth me: the evening of my pleasure hath he turned unto me into terror.
5 Insaganada ti lamisaan, inyaplagda dagiti alfombra ket agkakaan ken aggiinomda; tumakderkayo, dakayo a prinsipe, sapsapoanyo iti lana dagiti kalasagyo.
Prepare the table, put on the candlesticks, eat, drink: arise, ye princes, and anoint the shield.
6 Ta daytoy ti kinuna ni Yahweh kaniak, “Mapanka, mangdutokka iti guardia; masapul nga ipakaammona ti makitana.
For thus hath said unto me the Lord, Go, set the watchman, what he seeth let him tell.
7 No makakita isuna iti karwahe, iti sagdudua a lallaki a nakakabalio, kadagiti nakasakay iti asno, kadagiti nakasakay iti kamelio ket ngarud masapul nga agsiput ken agalibtak unay.”
And he will see chariots, horsemen in couples, riders on asses, riders on camels; and he shall listen diligently with much heed:
8 Nagpukkaw ti guardia, “Apo, iti pagwanawanan, agtaktakderak nga agmalmalem, inaldaw ken iti disso a pagwanawanak ket agtaktakderak nga agpatpatnag.”
And he calleth [like] a lion, Upon the watchtower, O Lord, do I stand continually in the daytime, and on my ward am I set all the nights.
9 Adtoyen ti maysa a nakakarwahe ket adda kaduana a bunggoy ti lallaki, sagdudua a lallaki a nakakabalio. Ipukpukkawna, “Naparmeken, naparmeken ti Babilonia ket dagiti amin a nakitikitan nga imahen dagiti diosda ket naburaken iti daga.”
And, behold, here cometh a chariot with men, horsemen in couples, and he commenceth and saith, Fallen, fallen is Babylon; and all the graven images of her gods hath he shivered unto the ground.
10 Nairik ken naitaep a tattaok, annak ti pagirikak! Impakaammok kadakayo ti nangngegko manipud kenni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin, a Dios ti Israel.
O my down-trodden [people, ] and the son of my threshingfloor: that which I have heard from the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, have I told unto you.
11 Ti pakaammo maipanggep iti Duma. Adda umaw-awag kaniak manipud iti Seir. “Guardia, kasano pay kabayag ti rabii? Guardia, kasano pay kabayag ti rabii?”
The doom of Dumah. Unto me one calleth out of Se'ir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?
12 Kinuna ti guardia, “Dumtengen ti agsapa ken kasta met ti rabii: No agsaludsodka, agsaludsodka ket kalpasanna, agsublikanto manen.”
The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will desire, desire ye; return, come again.
13 Ti pakaaammo maipanggep iti Arabia. Agpatpatnagkayo iti let-ang ti Arabia, dakayo a bunggoy a taga-Dedan.
The doom upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye caravans of Dedanim.
14 Mangiyegkayo iti danum para kadagiti mawaw; dakayo nga agnanaed iti daga ti Tema, mangipankayo iti tinapay kadagiti tattao a naglibas.
Toward him that is thirsty they bring water; the inhabitants of the land of Thema meet with suitable bread the fugitive.
15 Ta intarayanda ti kampilan, manipud iti nauyos a kampilan, manipud iti napilko a pana ken manipud iti dagsen ti gubat.
Because from the swords are they fled, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the pressure of war.
16 Ta daytoy ti imbaga ti Apo kaniak, “Iti las-ud ti makatawen, agpatingganto amin ti dayag ti Kedar, a kas iti mapasamak iti panagtrabaho ti matangtangdanan nga agtrabaho iti makatawen.
For thus hath said the Lord unto me, Within yet one year, like the years of a hired laborer, shall all the glory of Kedar be at an end:
17 Manmanonto laeng ti mabati kadagiti pumapana, dagiti mannakigubat ti Kedar” ta ni Yahweh, a Dios ti Israel, ti nagsao.
And the residue of the number of bows of the mighty men of the children of Kedar shall be small; for the Lord the God of Israel hath spoken it.
