< Isaias 2 >
1 Dagiti banbanag a nakita ni Isaias a putot ni Amos iti sirmata maipapan iti Juda ken iti Jerusalem.
The things that Isaiah son of Amoz perceived in a vision, concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
2 Kadagiti maudi nga al-adaw, maibangonto ti bantay ti balay ni Yahweh a kas kangatoan kadagiti banbantay, ken maitan-okto kadagiti ngatoen dagiti turod; ket mapanto iti daytoy dagiti amin a nasion.
It will be in the last days that the mountain of Yahweh's house will be established as the highest of the mountains, and it will be raised up above the hills, and all the nations will flow to it.
3 Adunto a tattao ti umay ket kunaenda, “Umaykayo, sumang-attayo idiay bantay ni Yahweh, iti balay ti Dios ni Jacob, tapno isuronatayo kadagiti wagasna, ken magnatayo kadagiti dalanna.” Ta mangngegan ti linteg manipud iti Sion ken dagiti sasao ni Yahweh manipud iti Jerusalem.
Many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of Yahweh, to the house of the God of Jacob, so he may teach us some of his ways, and we may walk in his paths.” For out of Zion will go the law, and the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem.
4 Mangukomto isuna iti nagbabaetan dagiti nasion ken iyegna dagiti pangngeddengna para kadagiti adu a tattao; pitpitendanto dagiti kampilanda ket pagbalinenda nga arado, ken dagiti pikada ket pagbalinenda a kumpay; saanto rauten ti maysa a nasion ti sabali a nasion, wenno agsanay pay para iti gubat.
He will judge between the nations and will render decisions for many peoples; they will hammer their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation will not lift up sword against nation, nor will they train for war any longer.
5 Balay ni Jacob, umaykayo ket magnatayo iti lawag ni Yahweh.
House of Jacob, come, and let us walk in the light of Yahweh.
6 Ta binaybay-am dagiti tattaom, a balay ni Jacob, gapu ta napnoanda kadagiti kaugalian manipud iti daya ken agbuybuyon a kas kadagiti Filisteo, ken makial-alamanoda kadagiti annak dagiti ganggannaet.
For you have abandoned your people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled with customs from the east and they practice divination like the Philistines, and they shake hands with sons of foreigners.
7 Napnoan iti pirak ken balitok ti dagada ket awan pagpatinggaan ti kinabaknangda; napnoan pay ti dagada kadagiti kabalio, kasta met a saan a mabilang dagiti karwaheda.
Their land is full of silver and gold, and is there no limit to their wealth; their land also is full of horses, nor is there limit to their chariots.
8 Napnoan pay ti dagada kadagiti didiosen; daydayawenda dagiti aramid dagiti bukodda nga im-ima, dagiti banbanag nga inaramid dagiti bukodda a ramramay.
Their land also is full of idols; they worship the craftsmanship of their own hands, things that their own fingers have made.
9 Maipababanto dagiti tattao ket matnagto ti tunggal maysa, saanmo ngarud ida nga awaten.
The people will be bowed down, and individuals will fall down; therefore do not raise them up.
10 Mapankayo kadagiti kabatbatoan a luglugar ket aglemmengkayo iti uneg ti daga tapno maliklikanyo ti nakaro a buteng kenni Yahweh ken ti dayag ti kinatan-okna.
Go into the rocky places and hide in the ground from the terror of Yahweh and from the glory of his majesty.
11 Maipababanto ti kinatangsit ken kinapasindayaw ti tao, ket ni Yahweh laeng ti maitan-ok iti dayta nga aldaw.
The lofty gaze of man will be brought low, and the pride of men will be brought down, and Yahweh alone will be exalted on that day.
12 Ta addanto iti aldaw ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin a maibusor iti tunggal maysa a napalangguad ken napasindayag, ken maibusor iti amin a napannakkel, ket maipababanto isuna-
For there will be a day of Yahweh of hosts against everyone who is proud and raised up, and against everyone who is arrogant—and he will be brought down—
13 ken dadaelennanto dagiti amin a natayag ken nangato a sedro iti Lebanon, ken dagiti amin a lugo iti Basan,
and against all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up, and against all the oaks of Bashan.
14 ken palanasennanto dagiti amin a nangato a banbantay, dagiti amin a nangato a turod,
That day of Yahweh of hosts will be against all the high mountains, and against all the hills that are lifted up,
15 rebbaenanto ti tunggal nangato a pagwanawanan, ken tunggal nalagda a pader,
and against every high tower, and against every impregnable wall,
16 ken dadaelennanto amin dagiti barko iti Tarsis, ken dagiti amin a napipintas a paglayag a barko.
and against all the ships of Tarshish, and against all beautiful sailing vessels.
17 Maipababanto ti kinapalangguad ti tao ken mapukawto ti kinakuspag dagiti tattao; ni Yahweh laeng ti maitan- ok iti dayta nga aldaw.
The pride of man will be brought low, and the haughtiness of men will fall; Yahweh alone will be exalted on that day.
18 Mapukawto a naan-anay dagiti didiosen.
The idols will completely pass away.
19 Mapanto dagiti tattao kadagiti rukib a batbato ken kadagiti abut iti daga, tapno maliklikanda ti nakaro a pungtot ni Yahweh ken ti dayag ti kinatan-okna, inton umay a mangbutbuteng iti daga.
Men will go into the caves of the rocks and the holes of the ground, from the terror of Yahweh, and from the glory of his majesty, when he rises to terrify the earth.
20 Iti dayta nga aldaw, ibellengto dagiti tattao dagiti didiosenda a naaramid iti pirak ken balitok nga inaramidda a pagrukbabanda-ibellengdanto dagitoy kadagiti marabutit ken kurarapnit.
On that day people will throw away their idols of silver and of gold that they have made for themselves to worship—they will throw them away to the moles and bats.
21 Mapanto dagiti tattao kadagiti rukib a batbato ken kadagiti birri ti dadakkel a batbato tapno maliklikan ti nakaro a buteng kenni Yahweh ken ti dayag ti kinatan-okna, inton bumangon isuna a mangbutbuteng iti daga.
The people will go into the crevices in the rocks and into the clefts of the ragged rocks, from the terror of Yahweh and from the glory of his majesty, when he rises to terrify the earth.
22 Isardengyo ti agtalek iti tao, ta ti biagna ket adda laeng kadagiti abut iti agongna, ta ania ngay koma ti kabaelanna?
Stop trusting in man, whose life-breath is in his nostrils, for what does he amount to?
