< Isaias 14 >
1 Maasinto ni Yahweh kenni Jacob; pilien ken isublinanto manen ti Israel iti bukodda a daga. Makitiponto kadakuada dagiti gangannaet ken makikaduadanto iti kaputotan ni Jacob.
But the Lord will be merciful to the descendants of Jacob. Once again he will choose Israel and he will bring them back to live once more in their own land. Foreigners will come and join them there, and they will unite with the descendants of Jacob.
2 Isublinto ida dagiti nasion iti bukodda a lugar. Ket ipanto ida ti kaputotan ti Israel idiay daga ni Yahweh kas adipen a lallaki ken babbai. Tiliwendanto dagiti nangtiliw kadakuada, ken iturayandanto dagiti nangparparigat kadakuada.
Nations will go with them and escort them to their own land. The foreigners who stay in the Lord's land will serve the Israelites. In this way the captors become their captives, and they rule over their former oppressors.
3 Iti aldaw nga ikkannaka ni Yahweh iti inana manipud iti panagsagsagabam ken panagladladingitmo, ken iti nadagsen a trabaho a masapul nga aramidem,
At that time the Lord will give you relief from your pain and trouble, and from the hard labor you were forced to do.
4 kantaemto daytoy a pananglais a kanta maibusor iti ari ti Babilonia, “Anian a panagpatingga ti mangparparigat, ti naulpit ket naggibusen!
You will mock the king of Babylon, saying, “How your oppressive rule has been ended, and your insolence stopped!
5 Tinukkol ni Yahweh ti sarukod dagiti nadangkes, ti setro dagidiay mangiturturay,
The Lord has broken the rod of the wicked, the rulers' scepter.
6 a nangkabil kadagiti tattao iti pungtot a saan nga agsardeng a panangkabil, a sipupungtot a nangituray kadagiti nasion, iti awan patinggana a panangraut.
You kept on furiously hitting foreign peoples without stopping, and aggressively ruled nations with unrestrained persecution.
7 Adda kappia ken talna iti entero a daga; rinugianda ti panagramrambak babaen iti panagkankanta.
Now the whole earth rests peacefully, and everyone starts celebrating!
8 Uray dagiti parwa a kayo ket makipagragragsak kadakayo kasta met dagiti sedro iti Lebanon; kunada, ‘Agsipudta napasagkan, awanen iti agpukpukan nga umay mangpukan kadakami.’
The cypress and cedar trees are glad you're gone. They sing, ‘Since you were cut down no woodcutters are coming to cut us down!’
9 Ti Sheol nga adda iti baba ket magagaran a mangsabat kenka inton mapanka sadiay. Riniingna dagiti natay para kenka, a dagiti amin nga ari ti daga, pinatakderna kadagiti tronoda, amin dagiti ari dagiti nasion. (Sheol )
Those in the grave beneath are keen to meet you when you arrive. It wakes the spirits of the dead to welcome you, those of all the rulers of the earth. All the kings of the nations stand up from their thrones. (Sheol )
10 Agsaodanto amin ket ibagada kenka, ‘Kimmapuykan a kas kadakami. Nagbalinkan a kas kadakami.
They will all speak up and tell you, ‘So you too are as weak as we are—you've become just like us!
11 Ti kinapasindayagmo ket naipababa iti sheol agraman ti uni dagiti nakuerdasan nga instrumenton. Sur-it ti naiwaras iti pagiddaam ken igges ti naiyules kaniam.’ (Sheol )
Your pride is now buried with you in the grave, along with the harp music you loved. Maggots are the bed you lie on, and worms are your blanket.’ (Sheol )
12 Anian ta natnagka manipud langit, baggak, nga anak ti bigat! Sika a nangsakup kadagiti nasion, anian a pannakatnagmo iti daga.
Morning star, son of the dawn, how you have fallen from heaven! Destroyer of nations, you have been cut down to the ground!
13 Kinunam iti pusom, ‘Umuliakto idiay langit, ipasdekkonto ti tronok iti ngatoen dagiti bituen ti Dios, ken agtugawak iti tapaw ti bantay ti paguummongan, agingga iti amianan.
You said to yourself: ‘I will ascend to heaven. I will raise my throne above the stars of God. I will sit enthroned on the mountain of meeting, the summit of the northern mountain.
14 Umuliakto iti ngatoen dagiti ulep; pagbalinekto ti bagik a kas iti Kangatoan a Dios.’
I will ascend to the high places above the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’
15 Ngem naipababakan ita iti sheol, iti kaunggan ti abut. (Sheol )
But you are dragged down to the grave, into the depths of the pit. (Sheol )
16 Matmatandakanto dagiti makakita kenka; ken mingmingmingandakanto. Kunaendanto, ‘Daytoy kadi ti tao a nangpakintayeg iti daga, a nanggungon kadagiti pagarian,
Those who see you will stare at you, examining you closely, asking, ‘Is this the man who shook the earth, who made kingdoms tremble?
17 a namagbalin iti lubong a let-ang, a nangdadael kadagiti siudad daytoy ken ti tao a saanna nga impalubos nga agawid dagiti baludna?’
Is this the one who turned the world into a desert, destroyed cities, and never let his prisoners return home?’
18 Dagiti amin nga ari dagiti nasion, aminda ket pimmusayda nga addaan iti kinadayag, tunggal maysa iti bukodda a tanem.
All the other kings of the nations lie in splendor in their great mausoleums.
19 Ngem naipurwakka manipud iti tanemmo, a kas iti sanga a naibelleng, kasla lupot a naiyules kenka dagiti natay, dagiti dinuyok ti kampilan—dagiti bumaba kadagiti batbato iti abut.
But you are thrown out of your grave like a branch nobody wants, buried underneath the bodies of those killed by the sword. You are like a corpse trodden underfoot. You are tossed into a pit full of rocks—
20 Kas iti bangkay a naibaddebaddek, iti kaanuman ket dikanto maitipon kadakuada iti tanem gapu ta dinadaelmo ti dagam. Sika a nangpapatay kadagiti tattaom ket anak dagiti mangar-aramid iti kinadakes ken pulos a saankanto a madakamat manen.”
you will not be buried like those other kings because you destroyed your own land and killed your own people. The descendants of those who do evil will never survive.
21 Isaganayo ti pangpatayyo kadagiti annakda, gapu iti kinamanagbasol dagiti kapuonanda, tapno saandanto a bumangon a mangtagikua iti daga ken mangpunno iti entero a lubong kadagiti siudad.
Get ready to execute his sons because of their fathers' sins. Don't let them take over the earth; don't let them fill the whole world with their cities.
22 Daytoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin—“Tumakderakto a maibusor kadakuada.” Pukawekto iti Babilonia ti nagan, kaputotan ken ti sumaruno pay a kaputotan” —daytoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh.
I will come and attack them, declares the Lord Almighty. I will destroy everything: their reputation, those who remain, their children, and their descendants, says the Lord.
23 “Pagbalinekto pay isuna a sanikua dagiti kullaaw ken kadandanuman, ken sagadakto daytoy babaen iti sagad ti pannakadadael” —daytoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin.
I will make Babylon into a place for water birds and into marshland. I will sweep her away with the broom of destruction, declares the Lord Almighty.”
24 Insapata ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin, “Pudno, a no ania ti pinanggepko, isunto ti mapasamak; ken no ania ti ginandatko, isunto ti maaramid.
The Lord Almighty has sworn an oath: It will be as I have planned. It will happen as I have decided.
25 Parmekekto ti taga-Asiria iti dagak, ket payatpayatak isuna kadagiti rabaw ti bantayko. Ket maikkatto ti sangolna manipud kadakuada ken maikkatto ti impabaklayna manipud iti abagada.”
I will smash the Assyrians when they are in my country Israel; I will trample them underfoot on my mountains. I will remove their yoke from my people, and take away the burdens they place on my people's shoulders.
26 Daytoy ti plano a maipatungpal iti entero a daga, ken daytoy ti ima a naingato iti amin a nasion.
This is the plan I have made regarding the whole earth; my hand stretches out to control all the nations.
27 Ta ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin ti nangpanggep iti daytoy; siasino koma ti makabael a manglapped kenkuana? Nakasagana ti imana a mangipatungpal kadagiti pinanggepna, ket siasino ngay ti makabael a manglapped kadagitoy?
The Lord Almighty has made his plan, and who will block it? His hand stretches out, and who will push back against it?
28 Iti tawen nga ipapatay ni ari Ahaz, dimteng daytoy a pakaammo:
The following message came in the year King Ahaz died.
29 “Saanka nga agrag-o, Filistia, gapu ta natukkolen ti sarukod a nangdangran kadakayo. Ta manipud iti maysa nga uleg ket rumuar met ti maysa nga uleg, ken ti anaknanto ket agbalin a nauyong a karasaen a tumaytayab.
All you Philistines, don't celebrate the fact that the rod that was hitting you is broken, because from the root of that snake will grow up a viper, its fruit will be a flying serpent.
30 Ti inauna nga anak dagiti nakurapay ket manganto, ken natalgedto nga agidda dagiti agkasapulan. Patayekto dagiti kapuonanyo babaen iti nakaro a panagbisin a mangpatayto kadagiti amin a nakalasat kadakayo.
The poor will have food, and the needy will live in safety, but you Philistines will die in a famine, and I will kill those who survive.
31 Agdung-awka, sika a ruangan; agsangitka, sika a siudad; marunawkayonto amin, Filistia. Ta manipud iti amianan ket umay ti maysa nga asok, ket awanto ti magna a nabuntog iti likudan dagiti dadduma.”
Howl, gates! Weep, town! Melt away in feat, all you Philistines! For a cloud of smoke is approaching from the north—an army with no soldier hanging back.
32 Kasanonto ngarud a sumungbat ti maysa a tao kadagiti mensahero iti dayta a nasion? Nga impasdek ni Yahweh ti Sion, ket kenkuana ti pakasarakan dagiti agsagsagaba a tattaona iti pagkamangan.
What will be the answer given to the messengers from that nation? “The Lord was the one who laid the foundations of Zion, and that's where his suffering people will be kept safe.”
