< Isaias 1 >
1 Ti Sirmata ni Isaias a putot ni Amos, a nakitana maipapan iti Juda ken Jerusalem, kadagidi al-aldaw da Uzzias, Jotam, Acaz ken Ezekias a nagbalin nga ar-ari ti Juda.
The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
2 Dumngegkayo a langlangit, ken denggem, daga; ta nagsao ni Yahweh: “Nangaywan ken nangpadakkelak kadagiti ubbing, ngem nagsukirda kaniak.
Hear, heavens, and listen, earth; for the LORD has spoken: “I have nourished and brought up children and they have rebelled against me.
3 Ammo ti baka ti akin-kukua kenkuana, ken ammo ti asno iti pagpakanan ti amona, ngem saan nga ammo ti Israel, awan pannakaawat ti Israel.”
The ox knows his owner, and the donkey his master’s crib; but Israel doesn’t know. My people don’t consider.”
4 Asika pay a nasion, managbasol, tattao a nailumlom iti kinadangkes, anak dagiti managdakdakes, annak nga agtigtignay a sidadakes! Tinallikudanda ni Yahweh, linaisda ti Nasantoan a Dios ti Israel, pinagbalinda a gangannaet dagiti bagbagida manipud kenkuana.
Ah sinful nation, a people loaded with iniquity, offspring of evildoers, children who deal corruptly! They have forsaken the LORD. They have despised the Holy One of Israel. They are estranged and backward.
5 Apay ketdin a ti pakabautanyo ti birbirukenyo? Apay ta itultuloyyo ti panagsukiryo? Ti sibubukel nga ulo ket masakit, ti sibubukel a puso ket nakapuy.
Why should you be beaten more, that you revolt more and more? The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.
6 Manipud iti dapan agingga iti ulo, awan ti paset a saan a nadangran: pasig a sugsugat, litlitem, ken silulukat a sugsugat; saanda pay a nagserra, nadalusan, nabedbedan, wenno saan pay a naagasan iti lana.
From the sole of the foot even to the head there is no soundness in it, but wounds, welts, and open sores. They haven’t been closed, bandaged, or soothed with oil.
7 Nadadael ti pagilianyo; napuoran dagiti siudadyo, dagiti taltalonyo-iti presensiayo-daddadaelen dagitoy dagiti ganggannaet-nadadael ken napanawan, pinarmek dagiti ganggannaet.
Your country is desolate. Your cities are burned with fire. Strangers devour your land in your presence and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.
8 Napanawan ti anak ti Sion a kasla kalapaw iti maysa a kaubasan, kasla paglinungan iti nakaimulaan dagiti pipino, kasla nalakub a siudad.
The daughter of Zion is left like a shelter in a vineyard, like a hut in a field of melons, like a besieged city.
9 No saan a nagibati ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin iti bassit kadatayo, nagbalintayo koman a kasla iti Sodoma, mabalin a nagbalintayo koman a kasla iti Gomora;
Unless the LORD of Armies had left to us a very small remnant, we would have been as Sodom. We would have been like Gomorrah.
10 Denggenyo ti sao ni Yahweh, dakayo a mangiturturay iti Sodoma; dumngegkayo iti linteg ti Diostayo, dakayo a tattao iti Gomora:
Hear the LORD’s word, you rulers of Sodom! Listen to the law of our God, you people of Gomorrah!
11 “Ania ngay koma ti serbi kaniak dagiti adu a sagsagutyo?” kinuna ni Yahweh. “Naumaakon kadagiti daton a mapuoran a kalakian a karnero, ken iti taba dagiti napalukmeg nga ay-ayup; ken saanko a pagragsakan ti dara dagiti bulog a baka, karnero, wenno kalding.
“What are the multitude of your sacrifices to me?”, says the LORD. “I have had enough of the burnt offerings of rams and the fat of fed animals. I don’t delight in the blood of bulls, or of lambs, or of male goats.
12 No kasta nga umaykayo dumatag iti sangoanak, siasino ti nangkiddaw kadakayo iti daytoy, a baddekanyo dagiti paraangak?
When you come to appear before me, who has required this at your hand, to trample my courts?
13 Saankayon a mangiyeg kadagiti awan serserbina a sagsagut; makarimon kaniak ti insenso; ti panangrambakyo iti baro a bulan ken panagtitiponyo iti Aldaw ti Panaginana-saanko a maanusan no kasta nga agtitiponkayo gapu kadagiti dakes nga ar-aramidenyo.
Bring no more vain offerings. Incense is an abomination to me. New moons, Sabbaths, and convocations— I can’t stand evil assemblies.
14 Kagurak ti panangrambakyo iti baro a bulan ken dagiti naikeddeng a fiestayo; dadagsen dagitoy kaniak; nabannogakon a mangib-ibtur kadagitoy.
My soul hates your New Moons and your appointed feasts. They are a burden to me. I am weary of bearing them.
15 Isu a tunggal ingatoyo dagiti imayo nga agkararag, ilingedko dagiti matak kadakayo; uray no mangipaaykayo iti adu a karkararag, saanakto a dumngeg; napno iti dara dagiti imayo.
When you spread out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you. Yes, when you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood.
16 Agbuggokayo, dalusanyo dagiti bagbagiyo; ikkatenyo dagiti dakes nga aramidyo manipud iti imatangko; isardengyo ti kinadakesyo;
Wash yourselves. Make yourself clean. Put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes. Cease to do evil.
17 sursuroenyo ti agaramid iti naimbag; ipakatyo ti hustisia, tulunganyo dagiti maidaddadanes, ikalinteganyo dagiti ulila iti ama, salaknibanyo dagiti balo.”
Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed. Defend the fatherless. Plead for the widow.”
18 “Umaykayo ita, ta aglilinnawagtayo,” kuna ni Yahweh; “uray no dagiti basolyo ket kasla naraniag a nalabaga, pumurawdanto a kasla niebe; uray no nalabagada a kasla karmesi, kasladanto kapuraw iti dutdot.
“Come now, and let’s reason together,” says the LORD: “Though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
19 No natulok ken natulnogkayo, kanenyonto ti naimbag nga apit iti daga.
If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good of the land;
20 ngem no agkedked ken agsukirkayo, alun-onennakayonto ti kampilan,” ta ti ngiwat ni Yahweh ti nangisao iti daytoy.
but if you refuse and rebel, you will be devoured with the sword; for the LORD’s mouth has spoken it.”
21 Nagkas-angen ta nagbalinen a balangkantis ti napudno a siudad! Napnoan isuna iti hustisia- napnoan isuna iti kinalinteg, ngem ita napnoan isunan kadagiti mammapatay.
How the faithful city has become a prostitute! She was full of justice. Righteousness lodged in her, but now there are murderers.
22 Ti pirakmo ket nagbalin a narugit, ti arakmo ket nalaokan iti danum.
Your silver has become dross, your wine mixed with water.
23 Dagiti prinsipem ket nasukir ken kakadua dagiti mannanakaw; pagaayat ti amin ti pasuksok ken gunguna. Saanda nga ikalkalintegan dagiti ulila iti ama, ken dagiti darum dagiti balo ket saan a makagteng kadakuada.
Your princes are rebellious and companions of thieves. Everyone loves bribes and follows after rewards. They don’t defend the fatherless, neither does the cause of the widow come to them.
24 Isu a daytoy ti pakaammo ti Apo, ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin, a Mannakabalin a Dios ti Israel: Asida pay! Agibalesakto kadagiti kabusorko, ket balsek dagiti kabusorko;
Therefore the Lord, GOD of Armies, the Mighty One of Israel, says: “Ah, I will get relief from my adversaries, and avenge myself on my enemies.
25 iturongkonto ti imak a maibusor kadakayo, dalusak dagiti rugityo, ken ikkatek amin ti kinarugityo.
I will turn my hand on you, thoroughly purge away your dross, and will take away all your tin.
26 Isublikto dagiti ukomyo a kas idi un-unana, ken dagiti mammagbagayo a kas idi punganay; kalpasan dayta, maawagankanto a siudad ti kinalinteg, maysa a napudno nga ili.”
I will restore your judges as at the first, and your counselors as at the beginning. Afterward you shall be called ‘The city of righteousness, a faithful town.’
27 Masubbotto ti Sion babaen iti hustisia, ken dagiti tattaona nga agbabawi babaen iti kinalinteg.
Zion shall be redeemed with justice, and her converts with righteousness.
28 Madadaelto a sangsangkamaysa dagiti nasukir ken managbasol, ken mapapatayto dagiti tumallikud kenni Yahweh.
But the destruction of transgressors and sinners shall be together, and those who forsake the LORD shall be consumed.
29 “Ta mabainkayonto gapu kadagiti nasagradoan a lugo a kaykayo a tinarigagayanyo, ket mabainankayto gapu kadagiti minuyongan a piniliyo.
For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which you have desired, and you shall be confounded for the gardens that you have chosen.
30 Ta kaiyariganyonto ti kayo alugo a magango dagiti bulongna, ken kasla minuyongan nga awan iti danumna.
For you shall be as an oak whose leaf fades, and as a garden that has no water.
31 Ti napigsa a tao ket kaslanto nagango a kayo ken ti aramidna ket kas iti risak; mapuoranda nga agpada, ket awanto ti mang-iddep kadakuada.”
The strong will be like tinder, and his work like a spark. They will both burn together, and no one will quench them.”
