< Oseas 7 >
1 Tunggal kayatko nga agasan ti Israel, maiparangarang ti basol ti Efraim, kasta met dagiti dakes nga aramid ti Samaria, gapu ta mangal-allilawda; Sumrek ti agtatakaw, ken agsaneb dagiti tulisan iti kalsada.
Should I desire to heal Israel, then would the iniquity of Ephraim and the wickedness of Samaria be laid open; for they commit falsehood; and the thief entereth [secretly], and the troop of robbers is spread abroad without.
2 Saanda a maamiris kadagiti pusoda a malaglagipko dagiti amin a dakes nga aramidda. Ita, linikmut ida dagiti aramidda; addada iti sangoanak.
And they never think in their own heart that I remember all their wickedness: though now their own doings are all round about them; before my face are they present.
3 Babaen iti kinadakesda, parparagsakenda ti ari, ken babaen ti kinaulbodda, parparagsakenda dagiti opisial.
With their wickedness they make the king glad, and with their lies the princes.
4 Mannakikamalalada amin, maiyarigda iti pugon a pinapudot ti panadero, a nagsardeng a mangparubrub iti apuy manipud ti pannakamasa ti arina agingga nga umalsa daytoy.
They are all adulterers, as an oven well heated by the baker: [when] he that stirreth [the fire] resteth awhile from kneading the dough, until it be leavened.
5 Iti aldaw iti aritayo, nabartek dagiti opisial babaen iti pudot ti arak. Nakitipon isuna kadagiti manglalais.
On the day of our king's [entering on his rule] the princes are made sick with the fumes of wine: [the king] joineth his hand with scorners.
6 Ta ti puso a kasla pugon, partuatenda ti panggepda a panangallilaw. Nagpatpatnag a bumegbeggang ti pungtotda; mapupuoran a kasla gumilgil-ayab nga apuy iti agsapa.
For they make ready their heart for their tricky deeds, like the oven, the baker whereof sleepeth all the night, while in the morning it gloweth as a flaming fire.
7 Napudotda amin a kas iti pugon, ket papatayenda dagiti mangiturturay kadakuada. Natay amin dagiti arida; awan kadakuada ti agpatulong kaniak.
They are all hot as an oven, they devour their judges; all their kings are fallen: there is none among them that calleth unto me.
8 Nakipulapol ti Efraim kadagiti tattao, maiyarig ti Efraim iti naingpis a bibingka a saan a naibaliktad.
Ephraim mixeth himself indeed among the nations: Ephraim is a cake not turned.
9 Inibus dagiti ganggannaet ti kinapigsana, ngem saanna nga ammo daytoy. Nagtubo dagiti uban kenkuana, ngem saanna nga ammo daytoy.
Strangers devour his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are sprinkled about on his [head], yet he knoweth not.
10 Agsaksinto a maibusor kenkuana ti kinatangsit ti Israel; nupay kasta, saanda a nagsubli kenni Yahweh a Diosda, wenno saanda a sinapul isuna iti laksid amin dagitoy.
And humbled was the pride of Israel before his own face; but they did not return to the Lord their God, and sought him not, notwithstanding all this.
11 Maiyarig ti Efraim iti maysa a kalapati, nanengneng ken awan pannakaawatna, umaw-awag iti Egipto, kalpasanna, agtayab nga agturong idiay Asiria.
And Ephraim is become like a silly dove without understanding: Egypt did they call hither, to Assyria did they go.
12 Inton mapanda, isarwagkonto ti iketko kadakuada, itinnagkonto ida a kas kadagiti billit iti tangatang. Dusaekto ida iti panaguummongda.
As they go, so will I spread out my net over them; as the fowls of the heaven will I bring them down: I will chastise them, as it hath been announced to their congregation.
13 Asida pay! Gapu ta immadayoda kaniak. Umayen ti pannakadadael kadakuada! Nagsukirda kaniak! Ispalek koma ida, ngem nagsaoda kadagiti inuulbod maibusor kaniak.
Woe unto them! for they have fled from me; destruction shall come unto them, because they have transgressed against me: though I desired to redeem them, they yet spoke lies against me.
14 Saanda nga immasug kaniak iti amin a pusoda, ngem agas-asugda kadagiti pagiddaanda. Sugatenda dagiti bagida tapno makagun-odda iti trigo ken baro nga arak, ken timmalikodda kaniak.
And they cried not unto me with their heart, when they howled upon their beds: for corn and new wine they assemble themselves, and they rebel against me.
15 Uray no sinuruak ida ken pinapigsak dagiti takkiagda, agpangpanggepda ita iti dakes maibusor kaniak.
And I desired to instruct and to strengthen their arms; yet would they devise evil against me.
16 Nagsublida, ngem saanda a nagsubli kaniak a Kangangatoan. Maiyarigda iti saan a narukop a bai ti pana. Mapapatayto babaen iti kampilan dagiti opisialda gapu iti kinakuspag dagiti dilada. Agbalinto daytoy a pakalaisanda iti daga ti Egipto.
They never return upward: they are like a deceitful bow: by the sword shall their princes fall because of the rage of their tongue; this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt.
