< Oseas 4 >
1 Denggenyo ti sao ni Yahweh, dakayo a tattao ti Israel. Addaan ti pammabasol ni Yahweh kadagiti agnanaed iti daga, gapu ta awanen ti napudno kadakayo, ken awanen ti napudno iti tulag, awanen ti pannakaammoyo iti Dios iti daga.
Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because [there is] no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
2 Adda ti panangilunod, panagulbod, pammapatay, panagtakaw, ken pannakikamalala. Sinalungasing dagiti tattao dagiti amin a linteg, ket agsasaruno ti pannakaiparukpok ti dara.
By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.
3 Isu nga agmagmaga ti daga, ket kumapkapuy dagiti amin nga agnanaed iti daytoy: dagiti narungsot nga ayup iti tay-ak ken dagiti billit iti tangatang; uray pay dagiti ikan iti baybay ket napukawdan.
Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.
4 Ngem saanmo a palubosan ti siasinoman a mangyeg iti darum; saanmo a palubosan a pabasolen ti maysa a tao ti siasinoman. Gapu ta dakayo a papadi ti pabpabasolek.
Yet let no man strive, nor reprove another: for thy people [are] as they that strive with the priest.
5 Maitibkolkayonto a papadi iti aldaw; Maitibkolkto met dagiti profeta a kaduayo iti rabii, ket dadaelekto ti inayo.
Therefore shalt thou fall in the day, and the prophet also shall fall with thee in the night, and I will destroy thy mother.
6 Madaddadael dagiti tattaok gapu iti kinakurang iti pannakaammo. Gapu ta linaksidyo a papadi ti pannakaammo, laksidendakayonto met a kas papadi kaniak. Gapu ta linipatyo ti lintegko, uray no siak ti Diosyo, lipatekto met dagiti annakyo.
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
7 No kasano ti panagadu dagiti papadi, ad-adda met ti panagbasolda kaniak. Pagbalinekto a pakaibabainan dagiti dayawda.
As they were increased, so they sinned against me: [therefore] will I change their glory into shame.
8 Agtaraonda iti basol dagiti tattaok; naagumda kadagiti kinadangkesda.
They eat up the sin of my people, and they set their heart on their iniquity.
9 Kastanto met laeng kadagiti tattao a kas kadagiti papadi: dusaekto ida amin gapu kadagiti aramidda; pagsagabaekto ida gapu kadagiti aramidda.
And there shall be, like people, like priest: and I will punish them for their ways, and reward them their doings.
10 Mangandanto ngem saanda a mapnek; agbalangkantisdanto ngem saanda nga umado, gapu ta tinalikkudan ken pinanawandak, siak a ni Yahweh.
For they shall eat, and not have enough: they shall commit whoredom, and shall not increase: because they have left off to take heed to the LORD.
11 Ti kinaderrep, arak ken ti baro nga arak ti nangpukaw ti pannakaawatda.
Whoredom and wine and new wine take away the heart.
12 Makium-uman dagiti tattaok kadagiti didiosenda a kayo, ket agipadpadto kadakuada dagiti sarukodda. Ta inyaw-awan ida ti espiritu ti kinaderrep, ket pinanawandak a Diosda.
My people ask counsel at their stocks, and their staff declareth unto them: for the spirit of whoredoms hath caused [them] to err, and they have gone a whoring from under their God.
13 Agidatdatonda kadagiti tapaw dagiti bantay ken agpupuorda iti insenso iti tapaw dagiti turod, iti sirok dagiti kayo a lugo, alamo, ken terebinto gapu ta nasayaat ti linongda. Isu a nagbalangkantis dagiti annakyo a babbai, ken nakikamalala dagiti manugangyo a babbai.
They sacrifice upon the tops of the mountains, and burn incense upon the hills, under oaks and poplars and elms, because the shadow thereof [is] good: therefore your daughters shall commit whoredom, and your spouses shall commit adultery.
14 Saankonto a dusaen dagiti annakyo a babbai inton pilienda ti pannakikamalala, wenno dagiti manugangyo a babbai inton makikamalalada. Gapu ta ipaay met dagiti lallaki dagiti bagida kadagiti balangkantis, ken agidatagda met kadagiti daton tapno makaaramidda kadagiti dakes nga aramid a kadua dagiti kulto a balangkantis. Isu a madadaelto dagitoy a tattao a saan a makaaw-awat.
I will not punish your daughters when they commit whoredom, nor your spouses when they commit adultery: for themselves are separated with whores, and they sacrifice with harlots: therefore the people [that] doth not understand shall fall.
15 Uray no nakikammalalaka, O Israel, saan koma nga agbasol ti Juda. Saankayo a mapan idiay Gilgal, dakayo a tattao; saankayo a sumang-at idiay Bethaven. Ket saankayo nga agikari, “Iti nagan ni Yahweh nga adda iti agnanayon.”
Though thou, Israel, play the harlot, [yet] let not Judah offend; and come not ye unto Gilgal, neither go ye up to Beth-aven, nor swear, The LORD liveth.
16 Gapu ta nagtignay a sisusukir ti Israel, kas iti maysa a nasukir a bumalasang a baka. Kasano ngarud ida a maiturong ni Yahweh iti pagaraban a kas kadagiti urbon a karnero iti tay-ak?
For Israel slideth back as a backsliding heifer: now the LORD will feed them as a lamb in a large place.
17 Nakipagmaymaysa ti Efraim kadagiti didiosen; baybay-am isuna.
Ephraim [is] joined to idols: let him alone.
18 Uray no naibusen dagiti naingel a mainumda, itultuloyda latta ti makikamkamalala; ay-ayaten met dagiti pangulona dagiti pakaibabainanda.
Their drink is sour: they have committed whoredom continually: her rulers [with] shame do love, Give ye.
19 Balkutento isuna ti angin kadagiti payyakna; ket mababaindanto gapu kadagiti datdatonda.
The wind hath bound her up in her wings, and they shall be ashamed because of their sacrifices.
