Oseas 13
1 Idi nagsao ti Efraim, adda iti panagtigerger. Intak-okna ti bagina idiay Israel, ngem nagbasol ti Efraim gapu iti panagdaydayawda kenni Baal ket natay isuna.
When Ephraim, spake, there was terror, exalted was, he, in Israel, —but, when he became guilty with Baal, then he died.
2 Ita, ad-adda pay ti panagbasolda. Nagaramidda kadagiti landok nga imahen manipud kadagiti pirakda, dagiti didiosen a napintas iti pannakaaramidna, amin dagitoy ket aramid dagiti agkitkitikit. Kuna dagiti tattao kadakuada, 'Dagitoy a lallaki nga agidatdaton ket umag-agepda kadagiti sinan-urbon a baka.’
Now, therefore they go on to sin, and have made them a Molten Thing out of their silver, after the notion of idols, the workmanship of craftsmen, all of it! Of them, are they saying—Ye sacrificers of men! The Great Calf, shall ye surely kiss!
3 Isu a maiyarigdanto kadagiti ulep iti agsapa, a kas iti linnaaw a nasapa a mapukaw, kas iti taep a maiyangin manipud iti pagirikan, ken kas iti asuk a rumuar iti simborio.
Therefore, shall they become like the morning cloud, and like the dew early departing, —like chaff storm-driven out of the threshing-floor, and like smoke out of a chimney.
4 Ngem siak ni Yahweh a Diosyo, a nangiruar kadakayo manipud iti daga ti Egipto. Masapul nga awan ti sabali a bigbigenyo a Dios no di siak laeng; masapul a bigbigenyo a malaksid kaniak, awanen ti sabali a mangisalakan.
Yet, I, Yahweh, have been thy God from the land of Egypt, —and, god beside me, shalt thou not acknowledge, for, saviour, is there none besides me.
5 Naam-ammokayo idiay let-ang, iti daga a kasta unay ti kinamagana.
I, tended thee in the desert, —in a land parched with drought:
6 Idi naaddaankayo ti pagpaaraban, ket nabsogkayo; ket idi nabsogkayo, timmangsit ti pusoyo; gapu iti dayta a rason ket nalipatandak.
Whenever they were pastured, then were they satisfied, They were satisfied, and their heart, was lifted up, —because of this, they forgat me.
7 Nagbalinak a kas iti maysa a leon kadakuada; a kas iti maysa a leopardo ket agurayakto iti igid ti dalan.
Therefore am I become to them as a lion, —As a leopard by the way, do I watch.
8 Darupekto ida a kas iti panangdarup ti maysa nga oso a natakawan kadagiti annakna. Wakwakekto dagiti barukongda, ket sadiay alun-onekto ida a kas iti maysa a leon— kasla narungsot nga ayup a mangrangrangkay kadakuada.
I will fall upon them as a bear bereaved, and will read asunder the enclosure of their heart, —that I may devour them there, like a lioness, the wild beast of the field, shall tear them in pieces.
9 Daytoy ti umadanin a pannakadadaelmo, Israel, gapu ta bimmusorka kaniak, a katulongam.
It hath utterly destroyed thee, O Israel, for it was against me, as thy helper!
10 Sadino itan ti ayan ti arim, tapno maisalakannaka kadagiti amin a siudadmo? Sadino ti ayan dagiti mangidadaulom, nga imbagam kaniak, 'Ikkannak ti ari ken kadagiti prinsipe'?
Where is thy king, then, that he may save thee throughout all thy cities? and thy judges, concerning whom thou saidst, Oh give me a king and rulers?
11 Iti ungetko inikkanka iti maysa nga ari, ngem iti pungtotko, impanawko isuna.
I might give thee a king in mine anger, and take him away in my wrath.
12 Naidulin dagiti kinadakes ti Efraim; naidulin dagiti basbasolna.
Bound up, is the iniquity of Ephraim, stored away, his sin.
13 Dumtengto kenkuana dagiti ut-ot ti panagpasngay, ngem isuna ket saan a nasirib nga anak, ta inton tiempo a maipasngay, saan isuna a rummuar iti aanakan.
The pangs of a woman in labour, shall overtake him, —he, is a son, not wise, for, now, he cannot stand still, when children are about to be born.
14 Ispalekto kadi ida manipud iti bileg ti lubong dagiti natay? Ispalekto kadi ida manipud iti ipapatay? Patay, sadino ti ayan dagiti didigram? Iyegmo ida ditoy. Lubong dagiti natay, sadino ti ayan ti pagdadaelmo? Iyegmo ditoy. Ti kinamanangngaasi ket nailinged manipud kadagiti matak.” (Sheol h7585)
Out of the hand of hades, will I ransom them, out of death, will I redeem them, —Where is thy pestilence, O death? Where thy plague, O hades? Repentance, shall be hid from mine eyes. (Sheol h7585)
15 Uray no narangrang-ay ti Efraim ngem kadagiti kakabsatna, umayto ti angin iti daya; agpuyupoyto ti angin ni Yahweh manipud iti let-ang. Agmaganto ti ubbog ti Efraim, ken matiananto ti bubonna. Samsamento dagiti kabusorna ti pagiduldulinanna kadagiti amin a napapateg a banag.
Though, he, among brethren, be fruitful, there shall come in an east wind, the blast of Yahweh out of the desert coming up, that his spring, may dry up, and his fountain, be exhausted, he, will rob the treasure-house of all the vessels of delight.
16 Madusanto ti Samaria, ta nagsukir iti Diosna. Matnagdanto babaen iti kampilan; marumrumekto dagiti ubbingda ken maburayrayanto dagiti masikog a babbai.
Samaria, shall be held guilty, for she hath rebelled against her God, By the sword, shall they fall, their infants, shall be dashed to the ground, and, his women with child, shall be ripped up.
