< Oseas 1 >
1 Daytoy ti sao ni Yahweh a immay kenni Oseas a putot a lalaki ni Beeri iti panawen da Uzzias, Jotam, Ahaz, ken Hezekias nga ar-ari ti Juda, ken ti panawen ni Jeroboam a putot a lalaki ni Joas nga ari ti Israel.
The Lord sent a message to Hosea son of Beeri at the time when Uzziah, Jotham, and Ahaz were the kings of Judah, and Jeroboam son of Jehoash was the king of Israel.
2 Idi damo a nagsao ni Yahweh babaen kenni Oseas, kinunana kenkuana, “Mapanka ket mangasawaka iti maysa a balangkantis. Maaddaanto isuna kadagiti annak a bunga iti panagbalangkantisna. Ta agar-aramid ti daga iti kasta unay a panagbalangkantis kabayatan iti panangtallikudda kaniak.”
The Lord began speaking through Hosea by telling him, “Go and take a wife who is a prostitute and have children born to a prostitute because those living in this land have committed terrible prostitution by turning away from the Lord.”
3 Napan ngarud ni Oseas ket inkallaysana ni Gomer a putot a babai ni Diblaim, nagsikog isuna ket impasngayna ti maysa a lalaki.
So Hosea went and married Gomer, the daughter of Diblaim. She became pregnant and bore Hosea a son.
4 Kinuna ni Yahweh kenni Oseas, “Panaganam isuna iti Jezreel. Ta iti mabiit, dusaekto ti balay ni Jehu gapu iti pannakaiparukpok ti dara idiay Jezreel, ket gibusakto ti pagarian iti balay ti Israel.
The Lord told Hosea, “Call him Jezreel, because I am going to punish the house of Jehu for the blood he shed at Jezreel, and I will put an end to the kingdom of Israel.
5 Mapasamakto daytoy iti dayta nga aldaw a dadaelekto ti bai ti Israel iti tanap ti Jezreel.”
On that day I will break Israel's military power in the valley of Jezreel.”
6 Nagsikog manen ni Gomer ket nangipasngay iti maysa a babai. Ket kinuna ni Yahweh kenni Oseas, “Panaganam isuna iti Lo-ruhama, ta saanakton pulos a maasi iti balay ti Israel, gapu ta saankon ida a pakawanen.
Gomer became pregnant again and gave birth to a daughter. The Lord told Hosea, “Call her Lo-ruhamah, because I will no longer love the house of Israel and certainly not forgive them.
7 Ngem, kaasiakto ti balay ti Juda, ket siakto mismo ti mangisalakan kadakuada, Siak ni Yahweh a Diosda. Saankonto ida nga isalakan babaen iti bai, kampilan, gubat, kabalio, wenno kumakabalio.”
But I will have pity on the house of Judah, and I will save them—but I will not save them by bow or sword or war or horses and riders.”
8 Ket kalpasan a pinusot ni Gomer ni Lo-ruhama, nagsikog isuna ket nangipasngay iti maysa pay a lalaki.
After Gomer had weaned Lo-ruhamah she became pregnant again and gave birth to a son.
9 Ket kinuna ni Yahweh, “Panaganam isuna iti Lo-ammi, gapu ta saan a dakayo dagiti tattaok, ket saan a siak ti Diosyo.
The Lord told Hosea, “Call him Lo-ammi, because you are not my people and I am not your God.
10 Ngem maiyarigto ti bilang dagiti tattao ti Israel kadagiti darat iti igid ti baybay, a saan a mabalin a marukod wenno mabilang. Mapasamakto daytoy iti lugar a nakaibagaan daytoy kadakuada, 'Saan a dakayo dagiti tattaok,' maibaganto daytoy kadakuada, 'Tattaonakayo ti sibibiag a Dios.'
Even so the number of the people of Israel will be like the sand on the seashore that cannot be measured or counted. Then right there at the place where they were told ‘you are not my people’ they will be called ‘the children of the living God.’
11 Agtitiponto a sangsangkamaysa dagiti tattao ti Juda ken dagiti tattao ti Israel. Mangdutokdanto iti maysa a panguloda, ket sumang-atdanto manipud iti daga, ta naindaklanto ti aldaw ti Jezreel.
The people of Israel and the people of Judah will be gathered together and they will choose one leader for themselves and they will take possession of the land, and the day of Jezreel will be great.”
