< Hebreo 7 >
1 Isu daytoy Melkisedec nga ari ti Salem, a padi ti Dios a Kangatoan, a nangsabat kenni Abraham idi agsubsubli manipud iti panangpapatay kadagiti ar-ari ket binendisonanna isuna.
For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, met Abraham, as he was returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him.
2 Inted ni Abraham kenkuana ti apagkapullo kadagiti amin a banbanag a nasamsamna. Ti kaipapanan ti naganna a “Melkisedek” ket “ari ti kinalinteg,” ken kasta met nga “ari ti Salem,” dayta ket, “ari ti kapia.”
And Abraham divided to him a tenth part of everything. And in translation his name is first, indeed, king of justice, and next also king of Salem, that is, king of peace.
3 Awan amana, awan inana, awan kapuonanna, awan iti aniaman a pangrugian dagiti al-aldawna wenno pagpatinggaan iti biagna. Ngem ketdi, agtalinaed isuna a padi iti agnanayon, kas iti Anak ti Dios.
Without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life, he is thereby likened to the Son of God, who remains a priest continuously.
4 Ammirisenyo ngarud ita ti kinaindaklan daytoy a tao. Inted ni Abraham a kapuonantayo ti apagkapullo kadagiti kasasayaatan a banbanag a nasamsamna iti gubat.
Next, consider how great this man is, since the Patriarch Abraham even gave tithes to him from the principal things.
5 Ken ti kinapudnona, addaan ti bilin dagiti kaputotan ni Levi a nangawat iti kinapadi manipud iti linteg a mangurnong kadagiti apagkapullo manipud kadagiti tattao, dayta ket, aggapu kadagiti padada nga Israelita, uray no kaputotan met laeng ida ni Abraham.
And indeed, those who are from the sons of Levi, having received the priesthood, hold a commandment to take tithes from the people in accord with the law, that is, from their brothers, even though they also went forth from the loins of Abraham.
6 Ngem immawat iti apagkapullo ni Melkisedec a saan a kaputotan ni Levi manipud kenni Abraham, ken binendisionanna isuna, ti addaan kadagiti karkari.
But this man, whose lineage is not enumerated with them, received tithes from Abraham, and he blessed even the one who held the promises.
7 Saan a mailibak a benindisionan ti nangatngato a tao ti nababbaba a tao.
Yet this is without any contradiction, for what is less should be blessed by what is better.
8 Iti daytoy a pasamak, matayto iti maysa nga aldaw dagiti tattao nga umaw-awat kadagiti apagkapullo ngem iti sabali met a pasamak, nailadawan a kas agbibbiag nga agtultulnog ti immawat iti apagkapullo ni Abraham.
And certainly, here, men who receive tithes still die; but there, he bears witness that he lives.
9 Ken iti gagangay a panagsasao, uray ni Levi nga immawat kadagiti apagkapullo ket nagited met babaen kenni Abraham,
And so it may be said that even Levi, who received tithes, was himself a tithe through Abraham.
10 gapu ta adda idi ni Levi iti lumo ni Abraham a kapuonanna idi nagkita ni Abraham ken Melkisedec.
For he was still in the loins of his father, when Melchizedek met him.
11 Ita, no magun-od ti kinaan-anay babaen iti kinapadi dagiti kaputotan ni Levi, (ta inawat dagiti tattao ti linteg babaen iti daytoy) ania pay laeng ti kasapulan ti sabali pay a padi a tumaud manipud iti kinapadi ni Melkisedec a saan ketdi a mainaganan manipud iti kinapadi ni Aaron?
Therefore, if consummation had occurred through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law), then what further need would there be for another Priest to rise up according to the order of Melchizedek, one who was not called according to the order of Aaron?
12 Ta no agbaliw ti kinapadi, masapul a mabaliwan met ti linteg.
For since the priesthood has been transferred, it is necessary that the law also be transferred.
13 Ta maibilang iti sabali a tribu ti nakaibagaanna dagitoy a banbanag, manipud iti daytoy ket awan pay ti uray maysa a tao a nagserbi iti altar.
For he about whom these things have been spoken is from another tribe, in which no one attends before the altar.
14 Nalawag ita a nagtaud ti Apotayo manipud iti Juda, ti tribu a saan a pulos a dinakamat ni Moises maipapan kadagiti papadi.
For it is evident that our Lord arose out of Judah, a tribe about which Moses said nothing concerning priests.
15 Ken nalawlawag pay ti ibagbagami no tumaud ti sabali a padi a kaas-asping ni Melkisedec.
And yet it is far more evident that, according to the likeness of Melchizedek, there rises up another priest,
16 Saan a nagbalin a padi daytoy a barbaro a padi a maibatay iti linteg maipapan iti nagtaudan ti tao, ngem ketdi, maibatay iti pannakabalin ti biag a saan a madadael.
who was made, not according to the law of a carnal commandment, but according to the virtue of an indissoluble life.
17 Ta saksaksian iti Nasantoan a Surat ti maipapan kenkuana: “Padika nga agnanayon a nagtaud manipud iti kinapadi ni Melkisedec.” (aiōn )
For he testifies: “You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.” (aiōn )
18 Ta nailasin ti imun-una a bilin gapu ta nakapuy ken awan ti pakausaranna.
Certainly, there is a setting aside of the former commandment, because of its weakness and lack of usefulness.
19 Ta awan ti naaramid ti linteg a nagbalin a naan-anay. No pay kasta, adda ti nasaysayaat a kinatalged iti masakbayan a mangiyasideg kadatayo iti Dios.
For the law led no one to perfection, yet truly it introduced a better hope, through which we draw near to God.
20 Ken saan a napasamak daytoy a nasaysayaat a kinatalged no awan ti panagsapata, ta saan a nagsapata dagitoy a dadduma a papadi.
Moreover, it is not without an oath. For certainly, the others were made priests without an oath.
21 Ngem nagsapata ti Dios idi nagsao iti maipapan kenni Jesus, “Nagkari ti Apo ken saanna a baliwan ti panunotna: 'Padika nga agnanayon.”' (aiōn )
But this man was made a priest with an oath, by the One who said to him: “The Lord has sworn and he will not repent. You are a priest forever.” (aiōn )
22 Nagbalin a talged ti nasaysayaat a tulag ni Jesus babaen met iti daytoy.
By so much, Jesus has been made the sponsor of a better testament.
23 Kinapudnona, lappedan ti patay ti agnanayon a panagserbi dagiti papadi. Isu iti gapuna nga adu dagiti papadi iti agsisinnaruno.
And certainly, so many of the others became priests because, due to death, they were prohibited from continuing.
24 Ngem gapu ta agnanayon nga agbibbiag ni Jesus, saan nga agbalbaliw iti kinapadina. (aiōn )
But this man, because he continues forever, has an everlasting priesthood. (aiōn )
25 Ngarud babaen kenkuana, kabaelanna met nga isalakan a naan-anay dagiti umas-asideg iti Dios, gapu ta kankanayon nga agbibiag isuna a mangibabaet kadakauada.
And for this reason, he is able, continuously, to save those who approach God through him, since he is ever alive to make intercession on our behalf.
26 Ta rumbeng laeng kadatayo ti kasta a kangatoan a padi. Awan ti basolna, awan ti pakapilawanna, nadalus, naisina kadagiti managbasol, ken nagbalin a nangatngato ngem kadagiti langlangit.
For it was fitting that we should have such a High Priest: holy, innocent, undefiled, set apart from sinners, and exalted higher than the heavens.
27 Saanna a kasapulan ti inaldaw nga agidaton, saan a kasla kadagiti nangangato a papadi, umuna ket maipaay kadagiti basbasolna, ken kalpasanna, maipaay kadagiti basbasol dagiti tattao. Inaramidna daytoy iti naminpinsan laeng idi indatonna ti bukodna a bagi.
And he has no need, daily, in the manner of other priests, to offer sacrifices, first for his own sins, and then for those of the people. For he has done this once, by offering himself.
28 Ta dutdutokan ti linteg dagiti tattao nga addaan kadagiti kinakapuy a kas nangangato a papadi, ngem ti sao iti sapata a naaramid kalpasan ti linteg ket dinutokanna ti Anak a nagbalin a naan-anay iti agnanayon. (aiōn )
For the law appoints men as priests, though they have infirmities. But, by the word of the oath that is after the law, the Son has been perfected for eternity. (aiōn )
