< Galacia 3 >
1 Maag a taga-Galacia, makin-mata iti dakes a mata a nangdangran kadakayo? Saan kadi a nailadawan ni Jesu-Cristo kas nailansa iti imatangyo?
O foolish Galatians, who bewitched you? before whose eyes Jesus Christ was plainly set forth among you crucified.
2 Kayatko laeng a maammoan daytoy manipud kadakayo. Inawatyo kadi ti Espiritu babaen kadagiti aramid ti linteg wenno babaen iti panamati iti nangngeganyo?
This only I desire to learn from you: Was it from the works of the Law that ye received the Spirit, or by the preaching of faith?
3 Maagkayo kadi launay? Nangrugikayo kadi iti Espiritu tapno agleppas laeng iti nainlasagan?
Are ye so foolish? Having begun with the Spirit, do ye now end with the flesh?
4 Nagsagabakayo kadi kadagiti adu unay a banbanag para iti awan kaipapananna, no pudno nga awan kaipapananna dagitoy?
Have ye suffered so much in vain? if indeed it be really in vain.
5 Ket isuna kadi a mangmangted iti Espiritu kadakayo ken agar-aramid kadagiti nabileg nga ar-aramid kadakayo, aramidenna kadi daytoy babaen kadagiti aramid ti linteg wenno babaen iti panangdengngeg a mabuyogan ti pammati?
Doth he then who is supplying to you the Spirit, and working miracles among you, do it by the works of the Law, or by the preaching of faith?
6 Namati ni Abraham iti Dios ken naibilang daytoy kenkuana a kas kinalinteg.
Even as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness.”
7 Iti isu met laeng a wagas, awatenyo ngarud a dagiti namati ket annak ni Abraham.
Know then that they who have faith, these are the sons of Abraham.
8 Idi pay ket nakitan ti Nasantoan a Surat a palintegento ti Dios dagiti Hentil babaen ti pammati. Sakbay pay ket naiwaragawagen ti ebanghelio kenni Abraham: “Mabendisionanto ti amin a nasion babaen kenka.”
Moreover the Scripture, foreseeing that God was to accept the gentiles as righteous by faith, proclaimed beforehand the glad tidings to Abraham, saying, “In thee shall all nations be blessed.”
9 Dagiti namati ket nabendisionan ngarud a kadua ni Abraham nga addaan pammati.
So then they who have faith are blessed with believing Abraham.
10 Adda iti pannakailunod dagiti agtalek iti aramid ti linteg. Ta naisurat, “Nailunod ti tunggal maysa a saan a sumursurot iti amin a banbanag a naisurat iti libro ti linteg, nga aramiden amin daytoy.”
For as many as rely on the works of the Law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the Law, to do them.”
11 Nalawag ita nga awan ti palpalintegen ti Dios babaen iti linteg, ta “Agbiagto ti nalinteg babaen iti pammati.”
But further, that through the observance of the Law no one is accepted as righteous with God is evident; for “the righteous shall live by faith.”
12 Saan a naggapu ti linteg iti pammati, ngem ketdi, “Isuna a mangar-aramid kadagitoy a banbanag iti linteg ket agbiagto babaen kadagiti linteg.”
And the Law hath nothing to do with faith; but [[its language is]], “He that hath done them shall live in them.”
13 Sinubbotnatayo ni Cristo manipud iti lunod ti linteg idi nagbalin isuna a lunod para kadatayo. Ta naisurat, “Nailunod ti tunggal maysa a nakabitin iti kayo.”
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us; for it is written, “Cursed is every one that is hanged on a beam of wood,”—
14 Ti panggep dayta ket umay koma ti bendision nga adda kenni Abraham kadagiti Hentil babaen kenni Cristo Jesus, tapno maawattayo koma ti kari iti Espiritu babaen iti pammati.
to the end that in Christ Jesus the blessing promised to Abraham might come to the gentiles, that we through faith might receive the Spirit which was promised.
15 Kakabsat, agsasaoak a kas tao. Uray idi naaramiden ti natao-an a tulag, awan ti mangwaswas wenno mangnayon iti daytoy.
Brethren, I speak according to what is practised among men; no one sets aside even a human covenant, or makes additions to it, after it has been ratified.
16 Ita, naisao dagiti karkari kenni Abraham ken kadagiti kaputotanna. Saanna nga ibagbaga ti, “kadagiti kaputotan,” a maipapan iti adu, no di ket iti maymaysa laeng, “iti kaputotam,” nga isu ni Cristo.
But the promises were made to Abraham and “to his offspring.” He doth not say, “and to offsprings,” as speaking of many, but, as speaking of one, “and to thy offspring,” which is Christ.
17 Ibagak daytoy ita. Ti linteg nga immay kalpasan iti 430 a tawen ket saanna a paawanen ti bileg ti immuna a tulag nga inaramid ti Dios.
And what I mean is this; that a covenant that was before ratified by God, the Law, which came four hundred and thirty years after, cannot annul, so as to make void the promise;
18 Ta no immay ti tawid babaen ti linteg, saanton a pulos nga umay babaen iti kari. Ngem inted ti Dios daytoy nga awan bayadna kenni Abraham babaen iti kari.
for if the inheritance cometh from the Law, it ceaseth to be the consequence of the promise; but to Abraham God gave it by promise.
19 Apay ngarud a naited ti linteg? Nainayon daytoy gapu kadagiti panagsalungasing, aginggana nga umayto ti kaputotan ni Abraham kadagiti nakaikarianna. Naipaulog ti linteg babaen kadagiti anghel, babaen iti ima ti mangibabaet.
To what end then was the Law? It was added because of transgressions, till the offspring should come to whom the promise belongeth, having been ordained through angels by the hand of a mediator.
20 Ita, ipakpakaawat ti mangibabaet a saan laeng a maymaysa a tao, uray no maymaysa laeng ti Dios.
Now no mediator is a mediator of one; but God is one.
21 Ngarud, maibusor kadi ti linteg kadagiti karkari ti Dios? Pudno a saan! Ta no naited ti linteg a nakaited iti biag, pudno nga immay koma ti kinalinteg babaen iti dayta a linteg.
Is then the Law against the promises of God? Far be it! For if a law had been given which was able to give life, righteousness would indeed have been by the Law;
22 Ngem ketdi, imbalud ti Nasantoan a Surat dagiti amin a banbanag iti basol. Inaramid daytoy ti Dios tapno mabalin a maited koma kadagiti mamati ti karina a mangisalakan kadatayo babaen iti pammati kenni Jesu-Cristo.
but the Scripture shut up all under sin, that the blessing promised through faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
23 Ngem sakbay nga immay ti pammati kenni Cristo, naibalud ken saantayo a makapanaw gapu iti linteg aginggana iti pannakaipakaammo iti pammati.
But before faith came, we were kept in ward under the Law, shut up unto the faith which was to be revealed.
24 Isu ngarud a nagbalin ti linteg a mangaywan kadatayo aginggana nga immay ni Cristo, tapno mapalintegtayo babaen iti pammati.
So then the Law hath been our schoolmaster, to lead us to Christ, that we might be accepted as righteous through faith;
25 Ita ta dimteng ti pammati, awantayon iti panangsaluad iti mangay-aywan.
but faith having come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
26 Gapu ta aminkayo ket annak ti Dios babaen iti pammati kenni Cristo Jesus.
For ye are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus;
27 Aminkayo a nabautisaran ken Cristo ket inkawesyon ni Cristo.
for as many of you as were baptized into Christ, did put on Christ.
28 Awan ti Judio wenno Griego, tagabu wenno nawaya, lalaki wenno babai, ta maymaysakayo amin kenni Cristo Jesus.
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is no male and female; for ye are all one in Christ Jesus;
29 No kukuanakayo ni Cristo, kaputotannakayo ngarud ni Abraham, dagiti agtawid segun iti kari.
and if ye belong to Christ, then are ye Abraham's offspring, heirs according to the promise.
