< Ezekiel 8 >
1 Ket napasamak iti maikalima nga aldaw ti maikanem a bulan iti maika-innem a tawen, bayat nga agtugtugawak iti uneg ti balayko, ken nakatugaw iti sangoanak dagiti panglakayen ti Juda, nga immay kaniak sadiay ti pannakabalin ni Yahweh nga Apo.
On the fifth day of the sixth month of the sixth year, I was sitting in my house with the elders of Judah and the power of the Lord God came over me there.
2 Ket kimmitaak, ket adtoy, adda maysa a langa a kaing-ingas ti tao, a kasla adda apuy manipud iti patongna nga agpababa! Ken manipud iti patongna nga agpangato ket adda agranraniag a kasla agbegbeggang a landok!
I looked around and saw a being that looked like a man. From what seemed to be his waist downwards, he looked like fire. From what seemed to his waist upwards, he looked like brightly glowing metal.
3 Ket adda kasla ima nga inggaw-atna ket ginammatanna ti buokko; impangatonak ti Espiritu iti nagbaetan ti langit ken daga, ket kadagiti sirmata manipud iti Dios, impannak idiay Jerusalem nga agturong iti pagserkan ti akin-uneg a ruangan iti amianan, a pagtaktakderan ti didiosen a mangparparnuay iti nakaro nga imun.
He reached out what seemed to be a hand and picked me up by my hair. The Spirit took me up into the sky, and in the vision God was giving me he carried me to Jerusalem, to the entrance of the north gate of the Temple's inner courtyard, where the offensive idol that made God angry had been placed.
4 Ket adda sadiay ti dayag ti Dios ti Israel, a kalanglanga ti kas iti nakitak idi idiay patad.
I saw the glory of the God of Israel there, just like I had in the vision I'd seen in the valley.
5 Ket kinunana kaniak, “Anak ti tao, tumalliawka iti amianan.” Timmalliawak ngarud iti amianan, ket iti agpaamianan a ruangan nga agturong iti altar, sadiay pagserkan ket adda sadiay didiosen ti imun.
“Son of man,” he told me, “now look to the north.” So I looked to the north, and in the entrance to the north of the Altar Gate I saw this idol that angered God.
6 Isu a kinunana kaniak, “Anak ti tao, makitam kadi ti ar-aramidenda? Dagitoy dagiti makarimon unay nga ar-aramiden ditoy ti balay ti Israel tapno adaywak ti bukodko a santuario! Ngem tumaliawka ket makitam dagiti nakarkaro pay a makarimon nga aramid!”
“Son of man,” he said to me, “can you see what they are doing? Look at the disgusting sins the people of Israel are committing that are driving me far away from my sanctuary? But you're going to see even more disgusting sins than these!”
7 Kalpasanna, impannak iti pagserkan a ruangan ti paraangan, ket kimmitaak, ket adda maysa nga abut iti pader.
He took me to the entrance to the Temple courtyard. As I looked around, I saw a hole in the wall.
8 Kinunana kaniak, “Anak ti tao, palawaem ti abut daytoy a pader.” Pinalawak ngarud ti abut iti pader, ket adda nakitak a ruangan!
“Son of man,” he told me, “pull the wall apart.” So I pulled the wall apart and found a doorway.
9 Ket kinunana kaniak, “Umunegka ket kitaem dagiti agkakadakes a makarimon nga ar-aramidenda ditoy.”
He told me, “Go through the wall and see the evil and disgusting things they are doing in here.”
10 Simrekak ngarud ket nakitak, ket adtoy! Adda agduduma a kita dagiti agkarkarayam ken makarimon a narungsot nga ay-ayup! Naikitikit iti aglawlaw ti pader ti tunggal didiosen ti balay ti Israel.
So I went through the wall and saw carved images covering the walls, representing all kinds of reptiles and disgusting animals, as well as all the idols worshiped by the people of Israel.
11 Pitopulo a panglakayen iti balay ti Israel ti adda sadiay, ket agtaktakder iti tengngada ni Jaazanias a putot a lalaki ni Safan. Agtaktakderda iti sangoanan dagiti imahen, ken nakaiggem iti insensario ti tunggal tao isu a ti ayamuom ti asuk ti insenso ket nagpangato.
Seventy elders of the house of Israel were standing in front of them, including Jaazaniah son of Shaphan. They all were holding censers, producing a sweet-smelling cloud of incense that rose above them.
12 Ket kinunana kaniak, “Anak ti tao, makitam kadi ti ar-aramiden dagiti panglakayen iti balay ti Israel iti nasipnget? Ar-aramiden daytoy ti tunggal tao kadagiti nailemmeng a siled a nakaidulinan dagiti didiosenna, ta ibagbagada, 'Saannatayo a makita ni Yahweh! Binaybay-anen ni Yahweh ti daga!”'
“Son of man,” he said to me, “can you see what the elders of the people of Israel are doing here in the dark, with each one worshiping in the shrine room of his own idol? This is what they're saying: ‘The Lord can't see what we're doing; besides the Lord has abandoned our country!’”
13 Ket kinunana kaniak, “Tumaliawka manen ket kitaem dagiti dadduma nga ad-adda pay a makarimon nga ar-aramidenda.”
The Lord went on to tell me, “You're going to see them doing even more disgusting things than these!”
14 Kalpasanna, impannak iti pagserkan ti ruangan iti balay ni Yahweh nga adda iti amianan a paset, ket adtoy! Agtugtugaw sadiay dagiti babbai nga agladladingit gapu kenni Tammuz.
Then he took me to the north entrance of the Lord's Temple. I saw women sitting there, weeping for the god Tammuz.
15 Isu a kinunana kaniak, “Makitam kadi daytoy, anak ti tao? Tumaliawka manen ket makitam dagiti nakarkaro pay a makarimon nga aramid ngem kadagitoy.”
“Son of man,” he said to me, “have you seen this? But you're going to see even more disgusting things than these!”
16 Ket impannak iti akin-uneg a paraangan ti balay ni Yahweh, ket adtoy! Iti pagserkan ti templo ni Yahweh, iti nagbaetan ti portiko ken ti altar, adda agarup dua pulo ket lima a lallaki a nakatallikud iti templo ni Yahweh ken simmangoda iti daya, ket agdaydayawda kenni Semes.
He took me to the inner courtyard of the Lord's Temple and right there at the entrance to the Temple, between the porch and the altar, were around twenty-five men. They had their backs to the Temple, and were facing towards the east. They were bowing in worship of the sun rising in the east.
17 Kinunana kaniak, “Anak ti tao, makitam kadi daytoy? Bassit kadi laeng a banag para iti balay ti Juda ti panangaramidda kadagitoy a makarimon nga ar-aramidenda ditoy? Ta pinunnoda ti daga iti kinaranggas, ket timallikudda manen tapno pagungetendak, inkabilda dagiti sangsanga kadagiti agongda.
“Son of man,” he said to me, “have you seen this? The people of Judah aren't content just to do these disgusting things. They also commit violent crimes across the country and keep on making me angry. Look at how they're deliberately insulting me!
18 Isu a dusaekto met ida; saanakto a maasi kadakuada, ket saankonto ida nga ispalen. Uray ipangngegda kaniak ti napigsa a panagsangitda, saankonto ida a denggen!”
As a result I will respond in anger. I won't treat them kindly; I won't be merciful to them. Even though they shout loudly for my help, I won't listen to them.”
