< Ezekiel 31 >
1 Ket napasamak nga iti maikasangapulo ket maysa a tawen, iti umuna nga aldaw iti maikatlo a bulan, immay kaniak ti sao ni Yahweh a kunana,
In the eleventh year, in the third month, in the first day of the month, the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
2 “Anak ti tao, ibagam kenni Faraon nga ari ti Egipto, ken kadagiti adipenna iti aglikmutna, ‘Iti kinabilegmo, siasino ti kaiyaspingam?
“Son of man, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt and his multitude: ‘Whom are you like in your greatness?
3 Kitaenyo! Ti Asiria ket kasla maysa a sedro iti Lebanon nga addaan kadagiti narangpaya a sanga, maysa a narukbos iti kakaykayoan, ken kasta unay ti katayagna! Ket ti tuktokna ket adda iti ngatoen dagiti sangana.
Behold, the Assyrian was a cedar in Lebanon with beautiful branches, and with a forest-like shade, of high stature; and its top was amongst the thick boughs.
4 Adu a danum ti nangpatayag iti daytoy; ti danum iti ubbog ti nangpadakkel iti daytoy. Nagayus dagiti karayan iti paset ti aglawlaw daytoy, ta ti panagayus dagitoy ket dimmanon kadagiti amin a kaykayo iti tay-ak.
The waters nourished it. The deep made it to grow. Its rivers ran all around its plantation. It sent out its channels to all the trees of the field.
5 Ti kinangato daytoy ket nangatngato pay ngem iti aniaman kadagiti kayo iti tay-ak, ken dagiti sanga daytoy ket nagadu unay; rimmangpaya pay dagiti sangana gapu iti nabuslon a danum bayat a dumakdakkel dagitoy.
Therefore its stature was exalted above all the trees of the field; and its boughs were multiplied. Its branches became long by reason of many waters, when it spread them out.
6 Tunggal billit iti tangatang ket nagumok kadagiti sanga daytoy, bayat a tunggal parsua nga agnanaed iti tay-ak ket naganak iti siruk dagiti narukbos a sanga daytoy. Amin dagiti adu a nasion ket nagnaed iti siruk daytoy.
All the birds of the sky made their nests in its boughs. Under its branches, all the animals of the field gave birth to their young. All great nations lived under its shadow.
7 Ta napintas unay daytoy gapu iti kinangayed ken iti kinarangpaya dagiti sanga daytoy, ta dagiti ramut ket adda iti ayan ti nabuslon a danum!
Thus it was beautiful in its greatness, in the length of its branches; for its root was by many waters.
8 Dagiti sedro iti minuyongan ti Dios ket saan a maiyasping iti daytoy! Awan kadagiti kayo nga igos ti maipada kadagiti sanga daytoy, ken awan kadawyan a kayo a makaasping kadagiti santakna. Awan kayo iti minuyongan ti Dios ti maipada iti kinapintas daytoy!
The cedars in the garden of God could not hide it. The cypress trees were not like its branches. The pine trees were not like its branches; nor was any tree in the garden of God like it in its beauty.
9 Pinapintasko daytoy babaen kadagiti adu a sanga daytoy; ket amin dagiti kayo iti Eden nga adda iti minuyongan ti Dios ket inapalanda daytoy!
I made it beautiful by the multitude of its branches, so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God, envied it.’
10 Isu a kastoy ti kuna ti Apo a ni Yahweh: Gapu ta natayag unay daytoy, ken gapu ta inngatona ti tuktok ti kayona iti ngatoen dagiti sanga ken ti pusona ket naingato iti kasta unay a kangato—
“Therefore thus said the Lord GOD: ‘Because he is exalted in stature, and he has set his top amongst the thick branches, and his heart is lifted up in his height,
11 Isu nga inyawatko isuna iti ima ti kabibilegan a mangiturturay kadagiti nasion! Nagtignay daytoy a mangiturturay iti maibusor kenkuana ket pinapanawna isuna gapu iti kinadangkesna!
I will deliver him into the hand of the mighty one of the nations. He will surely deal with him. I have driven him out for his wickedness.
12 Dagiti naranggas a ganggannaet iti amin a nasion ket pinukanda ken binaybay-anda daytoy. Natinnag dagiti sangana kadagiti bantay ken kadagiti tanap, ken dagiti babassit a sangana ket natukkol ket naregreg iti amin a waig iti daga. Ket amin dagiti nasion iti daga ket rimuar manipud iti linongna ket pinanawanda isuna.
Foreigners, the tyrants of the nations, have cut him off and have left him. His branches have fallen on the mountains and in all the valleys, and his boughs are broken by all the watercourses of the land. All the peoples of the earth have gone down from his shadow and have left him.
13 Amin dagiti billit iti tangatang ket nagbatay iti puon daytoy a kayo, ken amin dagiti atap nga ayup iti tay-ak ket nagtugaw kadagiti sanga daytoy.
All the birds of the sky will dwell on his ruin, and all the animals of the field will be on his branches,
14 Napasamak daytoy tapno awanton ti dadduma a masibsibugan a kayo ti dumakkel iti kasta a katayag, tapno saanda nga ingato ti tuktok ti kayoda iti ngatoen dagiti sanga, ta awanton ti sabali pay a kayo a masibsibugan a dumakkel manen iti kasta a katayag. Ta naipaimada amin iti patay iti kababaan a paset ti daga, iti nagtetengngaan dagiti tattao iti sangkataoan a bimmaban iti abut.
to the end that none of all the trees by the waters exalt themselves in their stature, and don’t set their top amongst the thick boughs. Their mighty ones don’t stand up on their height, even all who drink water; for they are all delivered to death, to the lower parts of the earth, amongst the children of men, with those who go down to the pit.’
15 Kastoy ti kuna ti Apo a ni Yahweh: Iti aldaw a naipababa isuna iti Seol, inyegko ti panagladingit iti lubong. Ginaburak ti adalem a danum iti rabawna, ken inatianak dagiti danum iti taaw. Pinasardengko ti napigsa a panagayus dagiti danum, ken inyegko ti panagladingit iti Lebanon para kenkuana! Isu nga amin dagiti kayo iti tay-ak ket nagladingit para kenkuana. (Sheol )
“The Lord GOD says: ‘In the day when he went down to Sheol, I caused a mourning. I covered the deep for him, and I restrained its rivers. The great waters were stopped. I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of the field fainted for him. (Sheol )
16 Inyegko ti panagkintayeg kadagiti nasion iti kanarpaak ti pannakatuangna, idi imbellengko isuna iti Seol a kaduana dagiti bimmaba iti abut! Ket liniwliwak dagiti amin a kayo iti Eden iti kababaan a paset ti lubong! Dagitoy ti kangrunaan a mapilpili ken kasasayaatan a kayo iti Lebanon, dagiti kayo a masibsibugan iti adu a danum! (Sheol )
I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to Sheol with those who descend into the pit. All the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, were comforted in the lower parts of the earth. (Sheol )
17 Ta bimmabada met laeng a kaduada isuna iti seol, kadagidiay a napapatay babaen iti kampilan! Dagitoy dagiti napipigsa a takiagna, dagidiay a nasion a nagnaed iti linongna. (Sheol )
They also went down into Sheol with him to those who are slain by the sword; yes, those who were his arm, who lived under his shadow in the middle of the nations. (Sheol )
18 Ania kadagiti kayo iti Eden ti kapadam iti dayag ken kinaindaklan? Ta maipababakanto a kaduam dagiti kayo iti Eden iti kababaan a paset ti lubong, a kaduam dagiti saan a nakugit; makipagnaedkanto kadagiti napapatay babaen iti kampilan! Daytoy ket ni Faraon ken dagiti amin nga adipenna! —kastoy ti pakaammo ti Apo a ni Yahweh!’’’
“‘To whom are you thus like in glory and in greatness amongst the trees of Eden? Yet you will be brought down with the trees of Eden to the lower parts of the earth. You will lie in the middle of the uncircumcised, with those who are slain by the sword. “‘This is Pharaoh and all his multitude,’ says the Lord GOD.”
