< Ezekiel 19 >
1 “Isu a sika! Ikantam daytoy a panagunnoy a maibusor kadagiti mangidadaulo iti Israel
“Moreover, take up a lamentation for the princes of Israel,
2 ket kunaem, 'Siasino ti inam? Maysa a kabaian a leon a nagnaed kadagiti kalakian nga urbon ti maysa a leon; iti nagtetengngaan dagiti bumaro a leon, tinaraonanna dagiti urbonna.
and say, ‘What was your mother? A lioness. She couched among lions, in the middle of the young lions she nourished her cubs.
3 Ket pinadakkelna ti maysa kadagiti urbonna agingga a nagbalin a bumaro a leon a nakasursuro a mangrangkay kadagiti biktimana. Naglamut isuna kadagiti tattao.
She brought up one of her cubs. He became a young lion. He learned to catch the prey. He devoured men.
4 Ket nangngeg dagiti nasion ti maipanggep kenkuana. Natiliw isuna iti palab-ogda, ket impanda iti daga ti Egipto babaen kadagiti kallawit.
The nations also heard of him. He was taken in their pit; and they brought him with hooks to the land of Egypt.
5 Ket nakitana nga uray no nagur-uray isuna iti panagsublina, napukawen ti namnamana, isu a nangala isuna iti maysa pay kadagiti urbonna ket pinadakkelna agingga a nagbalin a bumaro a leon.
“‘Now when she saw that she had waited, and her hope was lost, then she took another of her cubs, and made him a young lion.
6 Nakipagdakiwas daytoy a bumaro a leon kadagiti padana a leon. Bumaro isuna a leon ket nasursurona ti mangrangkay kadagiti biktimana; naglamut isuna kadagiti tattao.
He went up and down among the lions. He became a young lion. He learned to catch the prey. He devoured men.
7 Ket rinamesna dagiti balo dagiti napapatayna ken dinadaelna dagiti siudadda. Ket nabaybay-an ti daga ken amin a linaonna gapu iti uni ti panagngerngerna!
He knew their palaces, and laid waste their cities. The land was desolate with its fullness, because of the noise of his roaring.
8 Ngem immay dagiti nasion a maibusor kenkuana manipud kadagiti kabangibang a probinsia; inwayatda dagiti iketda kenkuana. Natiliw isuna iti palab-ogda.
Then the nations attacked him on every side from the provinces. They spread their net over him. He was taken in their pit.
9 Inkabilda isuna iti tangkal babaen iti kallawit ket impanda iti ari ti Babilonia. Impanda isuna kadagiti sarikedked dagiti bantay tapno saanen a mangngeg ti timekna kadagiti bantay ti Israel.
They put him in a cage with hooks, and brought him to the king of Babylon. They brought him into strongholds, so that his voice should no more be heard on the mountains of Israel.
10 Maiyarig ti inam iti ubas a naimula iti daram iti abay ti danum. Nabunga isuna ken adu ti sangana gapu iti kinawadwad ti danum.
“‘Your mother was like a vine in your blood, planted by the waters. It was fruitful and full of branches by reason of many waters.
11 Addaan isuna kadagiti natitibker a sanga nga agpaay a setro ti pangulo, ken maidaydayaw ti kinatayagna kadagiti sanga dagiti kaykayo nga adda iti aglawlawna.
It had strong branches for the scepters of those who ruled. Their stature was exalted among the thick boughs. They were seen in their height with the multitude of their branches.
12 Ngem naparut ti ubas gapu iti pungtot ket naibelleng iti daga, ket pinagango ti angin manipud daya ti bungana. Nasip-ak dagiti natibker a sangana ket nalaylay; inuram ti apuy dagitoy.
But it was plucked up in fury. It was cast down to the ground, and the east wind dried up its fruit. Its strong branches were broken off and withered. The fire consumed them.
13 Isu nga ita naimula isuna iti let-ang, iti daga a natikag ken namaga.
Now it is planted in the wilderness, in a dry and thirsty land.
14 Ta adda apuy a rimmuar manipud kadagiti dadakkel a sangana ket pinuoran daytoy dagiti bungana. Awanen ti natibker a sangana, awanen ti setro nga agturay.' Daytoy ket un-unnoy a maikantanto a kas panagunnoy.”
Fire has gone out of its branches. It has devoured its fruit, so that there is in it no strong branch to be a scepter to rule.’ This is a lamentation, and shall be for a lamentation.”
