Ezekiel 15
1 Kalpasanna, immay kaniak ti sao ni Yahweh a kunana,
Yahweh gave me another message. [He said],
2 “Anak ti tao, kasano koma a nasaysayaat ti puon ti ubas ngem iti uray ania a kayo nga addaan kadagiti sang-sanga nga adda iti kakaykayoan iti kabakiran?
“You human, the wood of a grapevine is certainly not [RHQ] more useful that the branches of the trees in a forest.
3 Makaala kadi dagiti tattao iti kayo manipud iti puon ti ubas tapno usarenna? Wenno, makaaramidda kadi iti pasok manipud iti daytoy tapno pagibitinanda daytoy iti uray ania?
No one [RHQ] ever takes a branch of a grapevine and makes anything [useful] from it. No one [RHQ] even makes pegs from them to hang things on.
4 Saan! No maipuor daytoy iti apuy a kas pangparubrob, ken no rinunoten ti apuy dagiti pungto daytoy kasta met ti tengngana, adda kadi pay la pakausaranna?
And after a branch of a grapevine is thrown into a fire, and the fire burns both ends and chars/scorches the branch in the middle, will it then be useful for anything?
5 Kitaem! Idi saan pay a napuoran daytoy, awan a pulos ti pakausaranna; isu nga awan duadua nga inton rinunoten ti apuy, awan latta ngarud ti pakausaran daytoy!
No; if it was not useful for anything before it was burned, it certainly cannot [made into something] useful after the fire has burned and charred it.
6 Isu a kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh nga Apo: Saan a kas kadagiti kaykayo iti kabakiran, impaayko a kas pangparubrob iti apuy dagiti puon ti ubas; kastoyto met laeng ti aramidek kadagiti agnanaed iti Jerusalem.
Therefore, this is what [I], Yahweh the Lord, say: The wood of grapevines is useful only for fuel in a fire. Similarly, the people who live in [are useless].
7 Ta sangoekto ida. Uray makarruarda manipud iti apuy, uramento latta ida ti apuy; isu a maammoanyonto a siak ni Yahweh inton sangoek ida.
I will reject [IDM] them. [It will be as though] they have escaped from a fire, but there will still be a fire that will burn them up. And when I punish [EUP] them, you [people who remain alive] will know that I, Yahweh, [have done it].
8 Kalpasanna, pagbalinekto a langalang ti daga, gapu ta nagbasolda— kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh nga Apo!”
I will cause your country to become a wasteland because your people have not been loyal [to me. That is what I], Yahweh, the Lord, say.”
