< Ezekiel 14 >

1 Adda sumagmamano kadagiti panglakayen ti Israel nga immay kaniak ket nagtugawda iti sangoanak.
One day some of the elders of Israel came to me and sat down in front of me.
2 Kalpasanna, immay ti sao ni Yahweh kaniak, a kunana,
Then Yahweh gave me this message:
3 “Anak ti tao, impapuso dagitoy a lallaki ti panagdayawda kadagiti didiosenda ken nangikabilda iti sangoananda iti pakaitibkulanda a makagapu iti panagbasolda. Rumbeng kadi pay la a pagdamagandak?
“You human, these men want to [IDM] worship idols, and they are allowing idols to induce them to sin [IDM]. So I will certainly [RHQ] answer them if they ask me for advice.
4 Isu nga ipakaammom ken ibagam daytoy kadakuada, 'Kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh nga Apo: Tunggal tao iti balay ti Israel a mangipapuso nga agdayaw kadagiti didiosenna wenno dagiti nangikabil iti sangoananda iti pakaitibkulanda a pakaigapuan ti panagbasolda, ket kalpasanna, umasideg iti maysa a profeta—Siak a ni Yahweh, sungbatakto isuna sigun iti bilang dagiti didiosenna.
So say this to them: ‘This is what Yahweh the Lord says: When any Israeli person wants to worship idols which will induce him to sin, and he goes to a [to get advice], I, Yahweh, will give him the answer that he deserves to receive because he worship idols.
5 Aramidekto daytoy tapno masublik manen ti puso ti balay ti Israel a naiyadayo kaniak gapu kadagiti didiosenda!'
[I will do that] in order that the Israeli people, who have abandoned me in order to worship their idols, will sincerely [IDM] worship me again.’
6 Isu nga ibagam iti balay ti Israel, 'Kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh nga Apo: Agbabawikayo ken tallikudanyon dagiti didiosenyo! Tallikudanyon dagiti amin a makarimon nga aramidyo!
Therefore, say to the Israeli people, ‘This is what Yahweh the Lord says: (Repent/Stop sinning)! Stop worshiping your idols, and stop all your [other] detestable behavior!’
7 Ta tunggal maysa iti balay ti Israel ken tunggal maysa kadagiti ganggannaet nga agnanaed iti Israel a mangtulaw iti naganko, a mangipapuso nga agdaydayaw kadagiti didiosenna, ken dagiti mangikabil iti sangoananna iti pakaitibkulanna, ket kalpasanna, umasideg iti maysa a profeta tapno birokendak—Siak a ni Yahweh, ti mangsungbatto a mismo kenkuana!
When any of [you] Israeli people or any foreigner living among you turns away from me and starts worshiping idols [IDM] that induce him to sin, and then goes to a prophet to find out what I want him to do, I myself will answer him.
8 Sangoekto dayta a tao ken pagbalinekto isuna a pakaballaagan ken maysa a proberbio, ta ikkatekto isuna iti nagtetengngaaan dagiti tattaok; ket maammoanyonto a siak ni Yahweh!
I will show that I detest him, and [what happens to] him to be a warning [to others], and cause him to be someone whom people despise. I will cause him to no longer be allowed to associate with my people. Then you will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].
9 No naallilaw ti maysa a profeta ket agibaga iti mensahe, ngarud, siak a ni Yahweh, allilawekto dayta a profeta; iyunnatkonto ti imak maibusor kenkuana ket dadaelekto isuna manipud kadagiti tattaok nga Israelita.
And if a prophet is deceived and gives a false prophecy, [even though] I [allowed him to] give that message, I will get rid of him and remove him from among my Israeli people.
10 Ket lak-amendanto ti bunga ti basolda; ti basol ti profeta ket maipada iti basol ti tao a nakiuman kenkuana.
Both the prophet and the one who asks him for advice will be guilty, [and I will punish both of them].
11 Gapu iti daytoy, saanton nga maiyaw-awan ti balay ti Israel iti panangsurotda kaniak, saandanto payen a tulawan dagiti bagbagida gapu kadagiti amin a panagsalungasingda. Isudanto dagiti tattaok, ket siakto ti Diosda—kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh nga Apo!'”
Then you Israeli people will no longer abandon me, and you will no longer become unacceptable to me because of your sins. You will be my people, and I will be your God. [That is what I], Yahweh the Lord, say.”
12 Kalpasanna, immay ti sao ni Yahweh kaniak, a kunana,
Yahweh gave me another message. [He said],
13 “Anak ti tao, inton agbasol kaniak ti daga babaen iti panagbasolda, nga isu a pangdusaak kadakuada ken panangisardengko a panangipaay kadagiti taraonda, ken ti panangiyegko iti nakaro a panagbisin ken panangpukawko iti tao ken kadagiti narungsot nga ayup iti daga;
“You human, [the people of some] country sin against me by abandoning me, and I punish [IDM] them by cutting off their food supply and by sending a famine, with the result that people and animals die,
14 ngarud, uray no dagitoy a tallo a lallaki—a Noah, Daniel ken Job—ket adda iti dayta a daga, isuda laeng ti makaispal iti bukodda a biag gapu iti kinalintegda—kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh nga Apo.
even if Noah, Daniel, and Job were there, they would save only themselves because of their being righteous. [That is what I], Yahweh the Lord, declare.
15 No mangibaonak kadagiti narungsot nga ayup iti entero a daga ken pagbalinek nga awan serserbi daytoy tapno agbalin a langalang nga awanton ti tao a makalabas iti daytoy gapu kadagiti narurungsot nga ay-ayup,
Or, if I send wild animals throughout the country, and they attack and [many of] [HYP] the people, with the result that travel in that country becomes very dangerous and no one travels through that country,
16 ngarud, uray no dagitoy met laeng a lallaki ket adda iti daytoy—iti naganko, kuna ti Apo a ni Yahweh—saandanto a maispal uray dagiti bukodda nga annak a lallaki wenno babbai; ti bukodda laeng a biag ti maispaldanto, ngem agbalinto a langalang ti daga!
[as surely] as I am alive, even if those three men were in that country, they could not save [even their own] sons or [from being killed]. Only those [three] would (be saved/remain alive), and the country would become desolate. [That is what I], Yahweh the Lord, declare.
17 Wenno, no mangibaonak iti kampilan iti dayta a daga a kunak, 'Kampilan, likmutem ti daga ket agpada a patayem ti tao ken ayup'—
Or, if I bring enemy soldiers [MTY] to attack that country, and they kill [MTY] people and animals throughout that country with their swords,
18 ngarud, uray no adda dagitoy a tallo a lallaki iti dayta a daga—iti naganko, kuna ni Yahweh nga Apo—saandanto a kabaelan nga ispalen uray dagiti mismo nga annakda a lallaki wenno babbai; ti laeng bukodda a biag ti maispalto.
as surely as I am alive, even if those three men were in that country, they would not be able to save even their own sons or [from being killed]. They would save only themselves. That is what I, Yahweh the Lord, declare.
19 Wenno, no mangibaonak iti angol iti daytoy a daga a kasla ibukbokko ti nakaro a pungtotko maibusor iti daytoy babaen iti panagsayasay ti dara, tapno agpada a matay dagiti tattao ken ayup,
Or, if I send a plague into that land and cause the people and the animals to [from the plague] because I am very angry with those people,
20 ngarud, uray no ni Noah, ni Daniel, ken ni Job ket adda iti dayta a daga—iti naganko, kuna ti Apo a ni Yahweh—saandanto a kabaelan nga ispalen dagiti mismo nga annakda a lallaki wenno babbai, ti laeng bukodda a biag ti maispal gapu iti kinalintegda.
[as surely] as I am alive, even if Noah, Daniel and Job were in that country, they would not [be able to] save even their sons and daughters. They would save only themselves because of their being righteous. [That is what I], Yahweh the Lord, declare.
21 Ta kastoy ni Yahweh nga Apo: Awan duadua a pagbalinek a dakdakes pay dagiti banbanag babaen iti panangiyegko iti uppat a pannusa—nakaro a panagbisin, kampilan, dagiti narurungsot nga ayup, ken angol—maibusor iti Jerusalem tapno agpada a matay ti tao ken ayup nga adda kenkuana.
So [now] this is what [I, ], Yahweh the Lord, say: I will cause four things to happen to [the people of] Jerusalem to punish them very severely. [Some] people and animals will be killed by swords, [some will die from] famines, [others will be attacked and killed by] wild animals, and [others will die in] plagues.
22 Ngem uray no kasta, addanto mabati kenkuana, rummuarto dagiti nakalasat a kaduada dagiti annakda a lallaki ken babbai. Rummuardanto a mapan kenka, ket makitamto dagiti wagas ti panagbiagda ken ar-aramidda, ket maliwliwakanto maipapan iti pannusa nga impalak-amko iti Jerusalem, ken maipapan iti amin a banag nga impalak-amko iti daga.
But some [of your people] will remain alive, [both adults] and children. They will come to you, [Ezekiel, in Babylon]. And when you see [disgusting] behavior and actions, you will realize that I had good reasons for causing [the people of] Jerusalem to experience those many great disasters [DOU] that I have sent to them.
23 Liwliwaendakanto dagiti nakalasat inton makitam dagiti wagas ti panagbiagda ken ar-aramidda, isu a maammoamto amin dagitoy a banbanag nga inaramidko maibusor kenkuana, a saanko nga inaramid dagitoy nga awan mamaayna! —kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh nga Apo.”
When you see those things that they do, you will know that there were very good reasons [LIT] for me to do everything that I caused to happen to them. [That is what I], Yahweh the Lord, declare.”
