< Daniel 3 >
1 Nangaramid ni Ari Nebucadnesar iti balitok nga estatua nga innem a pulo a cubico ti katayagna ken innem a cubico ti kaakabana. Impatakderna daytoy iti Tanap ti Dura idiay probinsia ti Babilonia.
NEBUCHADNEZZAR the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.
2 Kalpasanna, nangibaon ni Nebucadnesar kadagiti mensahero a mangummong kadagiti gobernador ti probinsia, gobernador ti rehion ken dagiti gobernador ti ili a kaduada dagiti mammagbaga, tesorero, ukom, mahistrado ken dagiti amin a nangangato nga ofisial dagiti probinsia tapno dumar-ay iti pannakaidaton ti estatua nga impatakderna.
Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the princes, the governors, and the captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellers, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
3 Ket naguummong dagiti gobernador ti probinsia, gobernador ti rehion, gobernador ti ili a kaduada dagiti mammagbaga, tesorero, ukom, mahistrado, ken dagiti amin a nangangato nga ofisial ti probinsia iti panakaidaton ti estatua nga impatakder ni Nebucadnesar. Nagtakderda iti sangoanan daytoy.
Then the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellers, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
4 Ket sipipigsa nga impukkaw ti agipakpakdaar, “Bilbilinenkayo, dakayo a tattao, dagiti nasion, ken pagsasao,
Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages,
5 nga iti kanito a mangngegyo ti uni dagiti tangguyob, plauta, sacabuche, lira, arpa, ken sinfonia, ken amin a kita ti musiko, masapul nga agkurno ken agpaklebkayo iti sangoanan ti balitok nga estatua nga impatakder ni Ari Nebucadnesar.
That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:
6 Siasinoman a saan nga agkurno ken agdayaw iti dayta a kanito, ket maitappuak iti gumilgil-ayab nga urno.”
And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
7 Isu nga idi nangngeg dagiti amin a tattao ti uni dagiti tangguyob, plauta, sacabuche, lira, arpa ken sinfonia, ken dagiti amin a kita ti musiko, nagkurno ken nagpakleb dagiti amin a tattao, dagiti nasion, ken pagsasao iti sangoanan ti balitok nga estatua nga impatakder ni Nebucadnesar nga ari.
Therefore at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of musick, all the people, the nations, and the languages, fell down and worshipped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
8 Ita iti daytoy a tiempo, adda sumagmamano a Caldeo nga immay ket pinabasolda dagiti Judio.
Wherefore at that time certain Chaldeans came near, and accused the Jews.
9 Kinunada kenni Nebucadnesar nga ari, “O Ari, agbiagka iti agnanayon!”
They spake and said to the king Nebuchadnezzar, O king, live for ever.
10 Sika O ari, ket nangaramid iti bilin a tunggal tao a makangngeg iti uni dagiti tangguyob, plauta, sacabuche, lira, arpa ken sinfonia, ken dagiti amin a kita ti musiko, masapul nga agkurno ken agpakleb iti sangoanan ti balitok nga estatua.
Thou, O king, hast made a decree, that every man that shall hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, shall fall down and worship the golden image:
11 Siasinoman a saan nga agkurno ken agdayaw ket masapul a maitappuak iti gumilgil-ayab nga urno.
And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth, that he should be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
12 Ita, adda sumagmamano a Judio a dinutokam a mangimaton kadagiti aramid iti probinsia ti Babilonia; dagiti naganda ket Sedrac, Mesac, ken Abednego. O ari, saandaka nga impangag dagitoy a lallaki. Saanda nga agdayaw, agserbi kadagiti diosmo, wenno agpakleb iti balitok nga estatua nga impatakdermo.”
There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
13 Ket kasta unay ti unget ken pungtot ni Nebucadnesar, imbilinna a maiyeg kenkuana da Sedrac, Mesac, ken Abednego. Impanda ngarud dagitoy a lallaki iti ari.
Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. Then they brought these men before the king.
14 Kinuna ni Nebucadnesar kadakuada, “Nakapangngeddengkayo kadin, Sedrac, Mesac, ken Abednego, a saankayo nga agdayaw kadagiti diosko wenno agpakleb iti sangoanan ti balitok nga estatua nga impatakderko?
Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?
15 Ita, no nakasaganakayon— inton mangngegyo ti uni ti tangguyob, plauta, sacabuche, lira, arpa, ken sinfonia, ken dagiti amin a kita ti musiko—agkurno ken agpaklebkayo iti sangoanan ti estatua nga inaramidko ket nasayaatto ti pagbanaganyo. Ngem no saankayo nga agdayaw, maitappuakkayonto a dagus iti gumilgil-ayab nga urno. Siasino ti dios a makaispal kadakayo manipud kadagiti imak?”
Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?
16 Simmungbat iti ari da Sedrac, Mesac, ken Abednego, “O Nebucadnesar, saanen a kasapulan a sungbatandaka maipapan iti daytoy a banag.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.
17 No addan man maisungbatmi, ti Dios a pagserserbianmi ket pagtalinaedennakami a natalged iti gumilgil-ayab nga urno, ket ispalennakami manipud kadagiti imam, O ari.
If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
18 Ngem no saannakami nga ispalen, maammoam koma, O ari, a saankaminto nga agdayaw kadagiti diosmo ken saankami nga agpakleb iti sangoanan ti balitok nga estatua nga impatakdermo.”
But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
19 Ket kasta unay ti pungtot ni Nebucadnesar; nagbaliw ti langa ti rupana a maibusor kada Sedrac, Mesac ken Abednego. Imbilinna a rumbeng a mapapudot ti urno iti maminpito a daras a napudpudot ngem iti sigud a kapudot daytoy.
Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.
20 Kalpasanna, binilinna dagiti sumagmamano a napipigsa a lallaki iti armadana a reppetenda da Sedrac, Mesac, ken Abednego ket itappuakda ida iti gumilgil-ayab nga urno.
And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.
21 Rineppetda ida a sikakawes, sikakagay, nakaturban ken amin nga adda iti bagida ket naitappuakda iti umap-apuy nga horno.
Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
22 Gapu ta nainget a naipatungpal ti bilin ti ari ken napudot unay ti horno, nauram dagiti lallaki a nangitappuak kada Sedrac, Mesac, ken Abednego ket natayda.
Therefore because the king’s commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego.
23 Nareppet a naitappuak dagitoy tallo a lallaki a ni Sedrac, Mesac, ken Abednego iti gumilgil-ayab nga urno.
And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
24 Kalpasanna, nasdaaw ket timmakder a dagus ni Nebucadnesar nga ari. Sinaludsodna kadagiti mammagbagana, “Saan kadi a tallo a nareppet a lallaki ti intappuaktayo iti apuy?” Insungbatda iti ari, “Pudno O Ari.”
Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellers, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.
25 Kinunana, “Ngem adda uppat a lallaki a makitak a saan a nareppet nga agpagnapagna iti apuy, ken saanda a nadangran. Ti kinaraniag ti maika-uppat ket kasla anak dagiti didios.”
He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
26 Ket immmasideg ni Nebucadnesar iti ruangan ti gumilgil-ayab nga urno ket nagpukkaw, “Sedrac, Mesac ken Abednego nga adipen ti Kangangatoan a Dios, rumuarkayo! Umaykayo ditoy! Ket rimmuar manipud iti apuy da Sedrac, Mesac ken Abednego.
Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, came forth of the midst of the fire.
27 Nakita dagiti naguummong a gobernador ti probinsia, gobernador ti rehion ken dagiti dadduma a gobernador, ken dagiti mammagbaga ti ari dagitoy a lallaki. Saan a dinangran ti apuy dagiti bagida; saan a nasiraman dagiti buokda; saan a nadadael dagiti pagan-anayda; ken saanda nga agat-asuk.
And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counsellers, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.
28 Kinuna ni Nebucadnesar, “Dayawentayo ti Dios da Sedrac, Mesac ken Abednego, a nangibaon iti mensaherona ken intedna ti mensahena kadagiti adipenna. Nagtalekda kenkuana idi saanda a tinungpal ti bilinko, ken inyawatda dagiti bagida ngem ti agdayaw wenno agpakleb iti siasinoman a dios malaksid iti Diosda.
Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.
29 Ngarud, ibilinko a siasinoman a tao, nasion wenno pagsasao nga agsarita iti maibusor iti Dios da Sedrac, Mesac ken Abednego ket masapul a marangrangkay ken agbalin a gabsuon dagiti rugit dagiti balayda gapu ta awan iti sabali a dios a makabael a mangisalakan a kas iti daytoy.”
Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.
30 Kalpasanna, impangato ti ari ti saad da Sedrac, Mesac, ken Abednego iti probinsia ti Babilonia.
Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, in the province of Babylon.
