< Amos 2 >

1 Kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh: “Gapu iti tallo a basol ti Moab, wenno gapu iti uppat, saanko nga ibabawi ti pannusa gapu ta pinuoranna dagiti tulang ti ari ti Edom agingga a nagbalin nga apug.
Thus, saith Yahweh, Because of three transgressions of Moab, and because of four, will I not turn it back, —Because he burned the bones of the King of Edom to lime,
2 Mangidissuorakto iti apuy idiay Moab ket daytoyto ti mangkisap kadagiti sarikedked ti Keriot. Matayto ti Moab iti maysa nga arimbangaw nga adda panagpupukkaw ken panaguni iti trumpeta.
Therefore will I send a fire into Moab, which shall devour the palaces of Kerioth—and Moab, shall die with tumult, with war- cry, with the sound of a horn;
3 Dadaelekto ti ukom nga adda kenkuana ket patayekto amin dagiti prinsipe a kaduana,” kuna ni Yahweh.
And I will cut off the judge out of her midst, and, all her rulers, will I slay with him, saith Yahweh.
4 Kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh: “Gapu iti tallo a basol ti Juda, wenno gapu iti uppat, saanko nga ibabawi ti pannusa gapu ta linaksidda ti linteg ni Yahweh ken saanda a tinungpal dagiti bilinna. Dagiti kinaulbodda ti nangiyaw-awan kadakuada a kas iti dalan a napanan dagiti ammada.
Thus, saith Yahweh, Because of three transgressions of Judah, and because of four, will I not turn it back, —Because they have rejected the law of Yahweh, and, his statutes, have not kept, but their falsehoods, have led them astray, after the which their fathers, did walk,
5 Mangidissuorakto iti apuy idiay Juda ket mapuoranto a mamimpinsan dagiti sarikedked ti Jerusalem.”
Therefore will I send a fire upon Judah, —which shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.
6 Kastoy ti kiuna ni Yahweh: “Gapu iti tallo a basol ti Israel, wenno gapu iti uppat, saanko nga ibabawi ti pannusa gapu ta inlakoda ti awan basolna gapu iti pirak ken dagiti agkasapulan gapu iti sangapares a sandalias.
Thus, saith Yahweh, Because of three transgressions of Israel, and because of four, will I not turn it back, —Because they have sold—for silver—the righteous, and the needy—for a pair of shoes:
7 Badbaddekanda ti ulo dagiti marigrigat a kas iti pangibaddek dagiti tattao iti tapok ti daga; iwalwalinda ti maidaddadanes. Kakaiddaen ti ama ken ti putotna a lalaki ti maymaysa a babai ket rugrugitanda ti nasantoan a naganko.
Who strive to bring the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and, the way of the oppressed, they pervert, —Yea, a man and his own father, go in unto the maid, to profane my holy Name!
8 Iti abay ti tunggal altar, agid-idada iti rabaw dagiti kawes nga inalada a kas salda, ken iti balay ti Diosda, in-inumenda ti arak dagiti nagmulta.
And, on pledged garments, they recline, beside every altar, —and, exacted wine, do they drink, in the house of their God.
9 Nupay kasta, dinadaelko ti Amoreo iti sangoananda, a ti tayagna ket kas iti tayag dagiti sedro; napigsa a kas kadagiti lugo. Nupay kasta, dinadaelko ti bungana iti ngato ken dagiti ramutna iti baba.
Yet it was, I, who destroyed the Amorite, from before them, whose height was, like the height of cedars, and, strong, was he, like the oaks, —but I destroyed his fruit above, and his roots beneath.
10 Inruarkayo pay idiay daga ti Egipto ken indaldalankayo idiay let-ang iti uppat a pulo a tawen tapno tagikuaenyo ti daga dagiti Amorreo.
And it was, I, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt, —and led you in the desert, forty years, to take possession of the land of the Amorites;
11 Nangpataudak kadagiti profeta manipud kadagiti annakyo a lallaki ken kadagiti Nazireo manipud kadagiti agtutuboyo a lallaki. Saan kadi, tattao ti Israel? —daytoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh.”
And I raised up, of your sons, for prophets, and, of your young men, for Nazirites, —Was it not even so, ye sons of Israel? Demandeth Yahweh;
12 “Ngem inallukoyyo dagiti Nazireo nga uminum iti arak ken binilinyo dagiti profeta a saanda nga agipadto.
And yet ye caused the Nazirites to drink wine, —and, on the prophet, laid ye command, saying, Ye shall not prophesy!
13 Kitaenyo, rumekenkayonto a kas iti panangrumek ti maysa a kariton a napno iti bukbukel iti maysa a tao.
Lo! I, am pressed under you, —as a full cart is pressed by its sheaves,
14 Saanto a makalibas ti tao a napardas; ti tao a nabileg, saannanto a manayonan ti kinapigsana; ti tao a nasiglat, saananto a maisalakan ti bagina.
Therefore shall flight, perish, from the swift, and, the mighty, shall not invigorate his strength, —nor shall, the hero, escape with his life;
15 Saanto a makatakder ti pumapana; saanto a makalibas ti tao a napardas nga agtaray; ti tao a nakakabalio ket saananto a maisalakan ti bagina.
Nor, he that handleth the bow, make a stand, and, the swift on his feet, shall not escape, —nor, he that rideth on a horse, escape with his life:
16 Uray dagiti katuredan a mannakigubat ket agtarayto a lamolamo iti dayta nga aldaw—daytoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh.”
Nay, he that is stout in his heart, among heroes, naked, shall flee, in that day, Declareth Yahweh.
