< Dagiti Aramid 24 >
1 Kalpasan iti lima nga aldaw, napan sadiay ni Ananias a panguloen a padi, sumagmanano a panglakayen ken maysa a bumibitla nga agnagan iti Tertulo. Immay indarum dagitoy a lallaki ni Pablo iti gobernador.
After five days, the high priest, Ananias, came down with certain elders and an orator, one Tertullus. They informed the governor against Paul.
2 Idi simmango ni Pablo iti gobernador, inrugi ni Tertulo a pabasolen isuna ket imbagana iti gobernador, “Gapu kenka, addaankami iti naindaklan a kapia ken ti panangkitam ket mangmangyeg iti nasayaat a pannakapabaro iti pagilianmi;
When he was called, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, “Seeing that by you we enjoy much peace, and that prosperity is coming to this nation by your foresight,
3 ngarud, iti amin a panagyaman ket awatenmi ti amin nga aramidem, kalaingan a Felix.
we accept it in all ways and in all places, most excellent Felix, with all thankfulness.
4 Tapno saankan a taktaken pay, dawatek kenka a denggennak koma iti ababa a kanito nga addaan kinaanus.
But that I don’t delay you, I entreat you to bear with us and hear a few words.
5 Ta natakuatanmi a daytoy a tao ket peste ken mangparparnuay iti panagrebelde kadagiti amin a Judio iti entero a lubong. Isuna ket pangulo ti sekta a Nazareno.
For we have found this man to be a plague, an instigator of insurrections amongst all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes.
6 Ket pinadasna pay a tulawan ti templo, isu a tiniliwmi isuna.
He even tried to profane the temple, and we arrested him.
8 Inton palutputem ni Pablo maipapan kadagitoy amin a banbanag, uray sika met ket maadalmo no ania ti pangidardarumanmi kenkuana.”
By examining him yourself you may ascertain all these things of which we accuse him.”
9 Nagkaykaysa dagiti Judio a nangidarum kenni Pablo ket imbagada a pudno dagitoy a banbanag.
The Judeans also joined in the attack, affirming that these things were so.
10 Ngem idi sinenyasan ti gobernador ni Pablo nga agsao, simmungbat ni Pablo, “Maawatak nga iti adu a tawen, sika ti ukom iti daytoy a pagilian, ken isu a maragsakannak a mangilawlawag iti bagik kenka.
When the governor had beckoned to him to speak, Paul answered, “Because I know that you have been a judge of this nation for many years, I cheerfully make my defence,
11 Mabalinmo a mapaneknekan nga awan pay iti sangapulo ket dua nga aldaw manipud napanak nagdaydayaw idiay Jerusalem;
seeing that you can verify that it is not more than twelve days since I went up to worship at Jerusalem.
12 ket idi nasarakandak idiay templo, saanak a nakisinnuppiat iti siasinoman ken saanak a nangriribuk kadagiti naummong a tattao, wenno kadagiti sinagoga, wenno iti siudad;
In the temple they didn’t find me disputing with anyone or stirring up a crowd, either in the synagogues or in the city.
13 ken saanda a mapaneknekan kenka dagiti pammabasol nga ar-aramidenda a maibusor kaniak ita.
Nor can they prove to you the things of which they now accuse me.
14 Ngem aminek daytoy kenka a babaen iti dalan nga aw-awaganda a sekta, iti dayta met laeng a dalan, agserserbiak iti Dios dagiti kapuonanmi. Napudnoak iti amin nga adda iti linteg ken kadagiti sursurat dagiti profeta.
But this I confess to you, that according to the Way, which they call a sect, so I serve the God of our fathers, believing all things which are according to the Torah, and which are written in the Prophets;
15 Addaanak iti isu metlaeng a namnama iti Dios, a kas met laeng kadagitoy a lallaki nga agur-uray iti dayta, ti umay a panagungar dagiti natay, agpada iti nalinteg ken saan a nalinteg;
having hope towards God, which these also themselves look for, that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
16 ket iti daytoy, agtrabtrabahoak tapno maaddaanak iti konsensia nga awan pakababalawanna iti sangoanan ti Dios ken kadagiti lallaki iti amin a banbanag.
In this I also practise always having a conscience void of offence towards God and men.
17 Ita, kalpasan iti adu a tawen, immayak a mangyeg iti tulong iti pagiliak ken sagsagut a kuarta.
Now after some years, I came to bring gifts for the needy to my nation, and offerings;
18 Idi inaramid ko daytoy, nasarakandak dagiti dadduma a Judio a naggapu idiay Asia iti maysa a seremonia ti pannakadalus idiay templo, nga awan iti adu a tattao wenno iti riribuk.
amid which certain Jews from Asia found me purified in the temple, not with a mob, nor with turmoil.
19 Rebbengna koma nga umay dagitoy a lallaki iti sangoanam ita ken ibagada no ania ti adda kadakuada a maibusor kaniak, no addaanda man.
They ought to have been here before you and to make accusation if they had anything against me.
20 Wenno saan, ibaga koma dagitoy met laeng a lallaki no ania ti biddut a nasarakanda kaniak idi simmangoak iti konseho dagiti Judio;
Or else let these men themselves say what injustice they found in me when I stood before the council,
21 malaksid no maipapan iti daytoy maysa a banag nga imbagak a napigsa idi nagtakderak kadakuada, 'Maipapan iti panagungar dagiti natay nga us-usigendak ita'.”
unless it is for this one thing that I cried standing amongst them, ‘Concerning the resurrection of the dead I am being judged before you today!’”
22 Naipakaammo a nasayaat kenni Felix ti maipapan iti Dalan, isu a pinagurayna dagiti Judio. Kinunana, “Inton bumaba ditoy ni komandante Lisias manipud idiay Jerusalem, ikeddengkonto ti kasom.”
But Felix, having more exact knowledge concerning the Way, deferred them, saying, “When Lysias, the commanding officer, comes down, I will decide your case.”
23 Kalpasan ket minandaranna ti senturion a bantayanna ni Pablo, ngem maaddaan iti bassit a wayawaya, ken awan koma iti manglapped kadagiti gagayyemna a tumulong kenkuana wenno mangsarungkar kenkuana.
He ordered the centurion that Paul should be kept in custody and should have some privileges, and not to forbid any of his friends to serve him or to visit him.
24 Kalpasan iti sumagmamano nga aldaw, nagsubli ni Felix a kaduana ni Drusila nga asawana, maysa a Judio, ken pinaayabanna ni Pablo ket nakangngeg kenkuana iti maipapan iti pammati kenni Cristo Jesus.
After some days, Felix came with Drusilla his wife, who was a Jewess, and sent for Paul and heard him concerning the faith in Messiah Yeshua.
25 Ngem idi naginnadalda kenni Pablo maipapan iti kinalinteg, panagteppel ken iti umay a pannakaukom, nagbuteng ni Felix ket insungbatna, “Pumanawka pay laeng, ngem no addanto manen oras ko, paayabankanto.”
As he reasoned about righteousness, self-control, and the judgement to come, Felix was terrified, and answered, “Go your way for this time, and when it is convenient for me, I will summon you.”
26 Kadagidiay metlaeng a tiempo, kalkalikagumanna a mangted ni Pablo iti kuarta kenkuana, isu a masansan a paayabanna isuna ken makisarsarita kenkuana.
Meanwhile, he also hoped that money would be given to him by Paul, that he might release him. Therefore also he sent for him more often and talked with him.
27 Ngem idi napalabasen ti dua a tawen, nagbalin a gobernador ni Porcio Festo a simmublat kenni Felix, ngem kayat ni Felix a makagun-od iti nasayaat a pannakikadua kadagiti Judio, pinanawanna ngarud ni Pablo nga agtultuloy a mabanbantayan.
But when two years were fulfilled, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus, and desiring to gain favour with the Judeans, Felix left Paul in bonds.
