< Dagiti Aramid 18 >
1 Kalpasan dagitoy a banbanag, pimmanaw ni Pablo idiay Atenas ken napan idiay Corinto.
After these things he departed from Athens, and came to Corinth.
2 Sadiay, nasarakanna ti maysa a Judio a managan Akila, maysa a lalaki a nayanak idiay Ponto; kagapgapuna laeng idiay Italia a kaduana ti asawana a ni Priscila, gapu ta imbilin ni Claudio a masapul a pumanaw amin dagiti Judio idiay Roma; ket immay ni Pablo kadakuada;
And he found a certain Jew named Aquila, a man of Pontus by race, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had commanded all the Jews to depart from Rome: and he came unto them;
3 nakipagnaed ken nakipagtrabaho ni Pablo kadakuada gapu ta kapadpadada isuna iti panggedan. Isuda ket agar-aramid iti tolda.
and because he was of the same trade, he abode with them, and they wrought; for by their trade they were tentmakers.
4 Isu a makiin-innadal ni Pablo idiay sinagoga iti tunggal Aldaw a Panaginana. Agpada nga al-allukoyenna dagiti Judio ken dagiti Griego.
And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded Jews and Greeks.
5 Ngem idi simmalog da Silas ken Timoteo manipud Macedonia, tinignay ti Espiritu Santo ni Pablo a paneknekanna kadagiti Judio a ni Jesus ket isu ti Cristo.
But when Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul was constrained by the word, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ.
6 Idi sinuppiat ken linais isuna dagiti Judio, pinagpag ni Pablo ti pagan-anayna kadakuada ket kinunana kadakuada, “Sapay koma ta ti darayo ket maikabil iti bukodyo nga ulo; Awan basolko. Manipud ita, mapanakon kadagiti Hentil.”
And when they opposed themselves and blasphemed, he shook out his raiment and said unto them, Your blood [be] upon your own heads; I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.
7 Ket pimmanaw isuna manipud sadiay ken napan idiay balay ni Ticio Justo, maysa a lalaki nga agdaydaydaw iti Dios. Kaabay ti balayna ti sinagoga.
And he departed thence, and went into the house of a certain man named Titus Justus, one that worshipped God, whose house joined hard to the synagogue.
8 Ni Crispo, a panguloen iti sinagoga ken amin nga adda iti balayna ket namati iti Apo. Adu kadagiti taga-Corinto a nakangngeg kenni Pablo ti namati ken nabautisaran.
And Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized.
9 Iti rabii, kinuna ti Apo kenni Pablo iti maysa a sirmata, “Saanka nga agbuteng, ngem agsaoka ken saanka nga agulimek.
And the Lord said unto Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak and hold not thy peace:
10 Ta addaak kenka, ken awan ti siasinoman a mangpadas a mangdangran kenka, ta adu dagiti tattaok iti daytoy a siudad.”
for I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to harm thee: for I have much people in this city.
11 Nagnaed ni Pablo sadiay iti maysa a tawen ken innem a bulan, nangisursuro isuna iti sao ti Dios kadakuada.
And he dwelt [there] a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.
12 Ngem idi nagbalin ni Galion a gobernador iti Acaya, nagkaykaysa dagiti Judio a nangbusor kenni Pablo ket indatagda isuna iti pangukoman;
But when Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews with one accord rose up against Paul and brought him before the judgment-seat,
13 kinunada, “Al-allukoyen daytoy a lalaki dagiti tattao nga agdayaw iti Dios iti wagas a naisupadi iti linteg.”
saying, This man persuadeth men to worship God contrary to the law.
14 Ngem idi agsao koman ni Pablo, kinuna ni Galion kadagiti Judio, “Dakayo a Judio, no pudno a daytoy ket maipanggep iti dakes a banag wenno krimen, rebbengna koma nga ukomenkayo.
But when Paul was about to open his mouth, Gallio said unto the Jews, If indeed it were a matter of wrong or of wicked villany, O ye Jews, reason would that I should bear with you:
15 Ngem gapu ta dagitoy ket saludsod a maipanggep kadagiti sasao ken nagnagan ken iti bukodyo a linteg, urnusenyo daytoy iti bukodyo laeng. Saanko a tarigagay ti agbalin nga ukom kadagitoy a banbanag.”
but if they are questions about words and names and your own law, look to it yourselves; I am not minded to be a judge of these matters.
16 Pinapanaw ida ni Galion iti pangukoman.
And he drove them from the judgment-seat.
17 Isu nga aminda, tiniliwda ni Sostenes, ti mangiturturay iti sinagoga, ken kinabilda isuna idiay sangoanan iti pangukoman. Ngem awan aniamanna kenni Galion ti inaramidda.
And they all laid hold on Sosthenes, the ruler of the synagogue, and beat him before the judgment-seat. And Gallio cared for none of these things.
18 Kalpasan iti panagtalinaed ni Pablo idiay iti adu pay nga al-aldaw, pinanawanna dagiti kakabsat a lallaki ket naglayag a nagturong idiay Siria a kaduana da Priscila ken Akila. Sakbay a pimmanaw isuna idiay sangladan iti Cencrea, inpakuskosna ti ulona gapu ta nagsapata isuna iti Nazireo a sapata.
And Paul, having tarried after this yet many days, took his leave of the brethren, and sailed thence for Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aquila: having shorn his head in Cenchreæ; for he had a vow.
19 Idi dimtengdan idiay Efeso, pinanawan ni Pablo da Priscila ken Akila sadiay, ngem napan isuna iti sinagoga nga is-isuna laeng ken nakilinnawag isuna kadagiti Judio.
And they came to Ephesus, and he left them there: but he himself entered into the synagogue, and reasoned with the Jews.
20 Idi kiniddawda nga agtalinaed pay ni Pablo sadiay iti at-atiddug pay a tiempo, nagkedked isuna.
And when they asked him to abide a longer time, he consented not;
21 Ngem idi pumanawen isuna kadakuada, kinunana, “Agsubliakto manen kadakayo no pagayatan ti Dios.” Kalpasanna, naglayag isuna manipud Efeso.
but taking his leave of them, and saying, I will return again unto you if God will, he set sail from Ephesus.
22 Idi simmanglad ni Pablo idiay Cesarea, simmang-at isuna ken kinablaawanna ti iglesia iti Jerusalem ket kalpasanna, simmalog idiay Antiokia.
And when he had landed at Cæsarea, he went up and saluted the church, and went down to Antioch.
23 Kalpasan a nagtalinaed isuna iti sumagmamano a tiempo sadiay, pimmanaw ni Pablo ket napan kadagiti rehion ti Galacia ken Frigia ken pinabilegna dagiti amin nga adalan.
And having spent some time [there], he departed, and went through the region of Galatia, and Phrygia, in order, establishing all the disciples.
24 Ita, maysa a Judio a managan Apollos, a naiyanak idiay Alejandria, ti napan idiay Efeso. Isuna ket nalaing nga agbitla ken adu ti ammona maipanggep iti Nasantoan a Sursurat.
Now a certain Jew named Apollos, an Alexandrian by race, an eloquent man, came to Ephesus; and he was mighty in the scriptures.
25 Nasuroan ni Apollos kadagiti sursuro ti Apo. Sipipinget isuna a nagsao ken nangisurona kadagiti banbanag maipapan kenni Jesus, ngem ti laeng ammona ket ti panangbautisar ni Juan.
This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he spake and taught accurately the things concerning Jesus, knowing only the baptism of John:
26 Nangrugi ni Apollos a nagsao a situtured iti sinagoga. Ngem idi nangngeg da Priscila ken Akila isuna, ginayyemda isuna ken impalawagda a nasayaat kenkuana ti dalan ti Dios.
and he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. But when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more accurately.
27 Idi tinarigagayanna a mapan idiay Acaya, pinabileg isuna dagiti kakabsat a lallaki ken nagsuratda kadagiti adalan idiay Acaya a sangailienda isuna. Idi simmangpet isuna, kasta unay ti panangtulongna kadagiti namati babaen iti parabur.
And when he was minded to pass over into Achaia, the brethren encouraged him, and wrote to the disciples to receive him: and when he was come, he helped them much that had believed through grace;
28 Inabak ni Apollos dagiti Judio babaen iti bileg ken kinalaingna iti imatang ti tattao, impakitana babaen iti Nasantoan a Sursurat a ni Jesus ket isu ti Cristo.
for he powerfully confuted the Jews, [and that] publicly, showing by the scriptures that Jesus was the Christ.
