< Dagiti Aramid 10 >
1 Ita, adda maysa a tao iti siudad ti Cesarea a managan Cornelio, maysa a kapitan dagiti soldado iti makunkuna a Rehimento Italiana.
Now a certain man in Caesarea, named Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,
2 Maysa isuna a napinget a tao, maysa nga agdaydayaw iti Dios a kaduana dagiti amin a kabbalayna; nangted isuna iti adu a kuarta kadagiti tattao a Judio ken kanayon nga agkarkararag iti Dios.
a devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, giving much alms to the people, and praying to God always,
3 Idi ngannganin ti maika-siam nga oras iti aldaw, nalawag a nakitana iti maysa a sirmata ti maysa nga anghel ti Dios nga um-umay kenkuana. Kinuna ti anghel kenkuana,
saw in a vision plainly, about the ninth hour of the day, an angel of God coming in to him, and saying to him, Cornelius!
4 “Cornelio!” Miningmingan ni Cornelio ti anghel ken kasta unay ti pigergerna ket kinunana, “Apay, apo?” Kinuna ti anghel kenkuana, “Dagiti karkararag ken sagsagutmo kadagiti nakurapay ket nagpangato a kas pakalaglagipan a daton iti presensia ti Dios.
And he, looking steadily at him, and becoming affrighted, said, What is it, Lord? And he said to him, Thy prayers and thine alms have come up for a memorial before God.
5 Ita, mangibaonka iti tattao idiay ili ti Joppa a mangiyeg iti tao a managan Simon, a managan met laeng iti Pedro.
And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, who is surnamed Peter;
6 Makipagnanaed isuna iti maysa nga agkurkurti iti lalat a managan met laeng iti Simon, a ti balayna ket adda iti igid ti baybay.
he lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the seaside.
7 Idi pimmanawen ti anghel a nakisarita kenkuana, inayaban ni Cornelio ti dua kadagiti adipen iti balayna, ken ti maysa a soldado nga agdaydayaw iti Dios manipud kadagiti soldado nga agserserbi met laeng kenkuana.
And when the angel that spoke to him had departed, he called two of his household servants, and a devout soldier of those who waited on him,
8 Imbaga ni Cornelio kadakuada ti amin a napasamak ket imbaonna isuda idiay Joppa.
and having told them every thing sent them to Joppa.
9 Ita, iti kabigatanna, idi ngannganin ti maika-innem nga oras, kabayatan nga agdaldaliasatda ken asidegdan iti siudad, napan met ni Pedro iti tuktok ti balay tapno agkararag.
On the morrow, as they were on their journey, and were drawing near the city, Peter went up on the housetop to pray, about the sixth hour.
10 Ket nabisinan isuna ket kayatna ti mangan iti uray ania, ngem idi madama nga aglutluto dagiti tattao iti taraon, nakakita isuna iti maysa a sirmata;
And he became very hungry and wished to eat; but while they were making ready, a trance came upon him,
11 ket nakitana a nalukatan ti tangatang ken adda maysa a pagkabilan a bumabbaba, maysa a banag a kasla dakkel nga ules a bumabbaba iti daga, a naipababa babaen iti uppat a sulina.
and he beheld heaven opened, and a sort of vessel descending, as it were a large sheet having cords at the four corners, and let down upon the earth;
12 Iti unegna ket amin a kita dagiti ayup nga addaan iti uppat a saka ken banbanag nga agkarayam iti daga, ken dagiti billit iti tangatang.
wherein were all the four-footed beasts and creeping things of the earth, and birds of the air.
13 Ket nagsao ti maysa a timek kenkuana, “Bumangonka Pedro, mangpartika ket manganka.”
And there came a voice to him, Arise, Peter; slay, and eat.
14 Ngem kinuna ni Pedro, “Saan Apo; ta saanak nga nangnangan iti aniaman a narugit ken saan a nadalus.”
But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten anything common and unclean.
15 Ngem nagsao manen ti timek kenkuana iti maikadua a gundaway: “Ti aniaman a dinalusan ti Apo, saanmo nga awagan a narugit.”
And a voice came to him again, the second time, That which God hath cleansed, call not thou common.
16 Napasamak daytoy iti tallo a daras; ket dagus a naipangato ti pagkabilan idiay tangatang.
This was done three times; and the vessel was immediately taken up into heaven.
17 Kabayatan a mariro unay ni Pedro no ania ti mabalin a kayat a sawen ti sirmata a nakitana, nakatakder met dagiti lallaki nga imbaon ni Cornelio iti sangoanan ti ruangan, kalpasan a dinamagda ti pagnaanda a mapan iti balay.
Now, while Peter was doubting within himself what the vision which he had seen meant, lo! the men who were sent from Cornelius had made inquiry for Simon's house, and stood before the gate;
18 Ket immawagda ken dinamagda no ni Simon a managan met laeng iti Pedro ket agigian sadiay.
and they called, and asked whether Simon, surnamed Peter, lodged there.
19 Kabayatan a panpanunoten pay laeng ni Pedro ti maipanggep iti sirmata, kinuna ti Espiritu kenkuana, “Kitaem, adda tallo a lallaki a mangbirbirok kenka.
And while Peter was meditating on the vision, the Spirit said to him, Behold, men are seeking thee;
20 Tumakderka ket umulogka ket kumuyogka kadakuada. Saanka nga agbuteng a kumuyog kadakuada, gapu ta imbaonko ida.”
but arise, and go down, and go with them, without scruple; for I have sent them.
21 Isu nga immulog ni Pedro a napan kadagiti lallaki ket kinunana, “Siak ti birbirukenyo. Apay nga immaykayo?”
And Peter went down to the men and said, Behold, I am he whom ye are seeking; for what cause have ye come?
22 Kinunada, “Ti kapitan dagiti soldado a managan Cornelio, maysa a nalinteg a tao ken maysa nga agdaydayaw iti Dios, ken nasayaat ti pakasarsaritaanna iti entero a pagilian dagiti Judio ket binagaan ti nasantoan nga anghel ti Dios a mangibaon iti umay kenka tapno umayka idiay balayna, tapno agdengngeg isuna iti mensahe nga aggapu kenka.”
And they said, Cornelius a centurion, a righteous man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by a holy angel to send for thee to his house, and to hear words from thee.
23 Isu nga inawis ida ni Pedro a sumrek ken makipagian kenkuana. Iti simmaruno a bigat, bimmangon ket kimmuyog kadakuada, ket dadduma kadagiti kakabsat manipud Joppa ti nangkadua kenkuana.
Then he called them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow he arose and went forth with them, and certain of the brethren from Joppa accompanied him.
24 Iti simmaruno nga aldaw, simmangpetda idiay Cesarea. Agur-uray ni Cornelio kadakuada; inummongna dagiti kakabagianna ken dagiti asideg a gagayyemna.
And the morrow after, he came into Caesarea. And Cornelius was expecting them, and had called together his kinsmen and near friends.
25 Ket napasamak nga idi simrek ni Pedro, sinabat isuna ni Cornelio ket nagdumog iti sakaananna kas panangipakitana iti panangdayawna kenkuana.
And as Peter came in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and did him reverence.
26 Ngem pinatakder isuna ni Pedro ket kinunana, “Tumakderka; siak ket tao met laeng.”
But Peter raised him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.
27 Kabayatan a makisarsarita ni Pedro kenkuana, simrek isuna ket nasarakanna iti adu a tattao a naummong.
And while talking with him, he went in, and found many who had come together.
28 Kinunana kadakuada, “Dakayo a mismo, ammoyo a saan a maiparbeng para iti maysa a Judio a makikadua wenno mangsarungkar iti siasinoman manipud iti sabali a pagilian. Ngem impakita kaniak ti Dios a masapul a saanko nga awagan ti siasinoman iti narugit wenno saan a nadalus.
And he said to them, Ye know that it is an unlawful thing for a Jew to keep company with one of another nation, or to come near him; but God showed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
29 Isu nga immayak a saanak a nakirikiar, idi napaayabanak. Ngarud, damagek kadakayo no apay a pinaayabandak.”
Wherefore I came without objection, when sent for. I ask therefore, for what reason did ye send for me?
30 Kinuna ni Cornelio, “Uppat nga aldawen iti napalabas, iti kastoy met laeng nga oras, agkarkararagak iti maika-siam nga oras iti balayko; pagammoan, maysa a lalaki a sikakawes iti naraniag ti nagtakder iti sangoanak.
And Cornelius said, Four days ago, I was fasting till this hour; and at the ninth hour was praying in my house; and lo! a man stood before me in bright clothing,
31 Kinunana, 'Cornelio, nanggeg ti Dios ti kararagmo, ken dagiti sagsagutmo kadagiti nakurapay ket impalagipna iti Dios ti maipanggep kenka.
and said, Cornelius, thy prayer hath been heard, and thine alms have been remembered before God.
32 Isu a mangibaonka iti tao idiay Joppa, ket paayabam ti tao a managan Simon, a maawagan met laeng iti Pedro. Agnanaed isuna iti balay ti maysa nga agkurkurti iti lalat a managan Simon, iti igid ti baybay.'
Send therefore to Joppa, and call for Simon, who is surnamed Peter; he lodgeth in the house of Simon a tanner, by the sea-side; and he, when he cometh, will speak to thee.
33 Isu a dagus a nangibaonak iti mangayab kenka. Naimbagka iti iyaaymo. Ket ita, addakami amin ditoy iti imatang ti Dios, tapno agdengngeg iti tunggal banag nga insuro ti Dios nga ibagam.”
I therefore sent to thee immediately; and thou hast done well in coming here. Now therefore we are all present before God, to hear all things that have been commanded thee from the Lord.
34 Ket nagsao ni Pedro a kinunana, “Pudno, maawatak nga awan iti idumduma ti Dios.
And Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is not a respecter of persons,
35 Ngem ketdi, ti tunggal pagilian nga agdaydayaw ken agar-aramid kadagiti nalinteg nga ar-aramid ket awatenna.
but in every nation he that feareth him and worketh righteousness is acceptable to him—
36 Ammoyo ti mensahe nga intedna kadagiti tattao ti Israel, idi impakaammona ti naimbag a damag maipanggep iti talna babaen kenni Jesu-Cristo, nga Apo ti amin-
the word which he sent to the sons of Israel, publishing glad tidings of peace through Jesus Christ; he is Lord of all men.
37 dakayo a mismo ket ammoyo dagiti napaspasamak, a naaramid iti entero a Judea, nangrugi idiay Galilea, kalpasan iti pannakabuniag nga inwaragawag ni Juan;
Ye yourselves know what was spoken of through the whole of Judaea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism which John preached,
38 dagiti pasamak a mainaig kenni Jesus ti Nasaret, no kasano nga inikkan isuna ti Dios iti Espiritu Santo ken iti pannakabalin. Napan isuna nagar-aramid iti nasayaat ken pinaimbagna amin nga indadanes ti diablo, gapu ta kaduana ti Dios.
relating to Jesus of Nazareth, that God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power; who went about doing good, and healing all that were overpowered by the Devil; for God was with him.
39 Saksikami kadagiti amin a banag nga inaramidna iti pagilian dagiti Judio ken idiay Jerusalem-daytoy Jesus a pinatayda, babaen iti panangibitinda kenkuana iti kayo.
And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem; whom they also slew by hanging him on a cross.
40 Daytoy a tao a pinagungar ti Dios iti maikatlo nga aldaw ken namagbalin kenkuana a nalatak,
Him God raised up on the third day, and caused him to be manifested,
41 saan a kadagiti amin a tattao, ngem kadagiti saksi a sakbay pay ket pinilin ti Dios - dataki a mismo, a nangan ken imminom a kaduana kalpasan a nagungar isuna manipud iti patay.
not to all the people, but to witnesses before appointed by God, to ourselves, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead;
42 Binilinnakami nga ikasabami kadagiti tattao ken saksianmi a daytoy ti napili ti Dios nga agbalin nga Ukom dagiti sibibiag ken dagiti natay.
and he commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is he who hath been appointed by God to be judge of the living and the dead.
43 Isuna ti saksaksian dagiti amin a profeta, tapno tunggal maysa a mamati kenkuana ket umawatto iti pannakapakawan dagiti basbasol babaen iti naganna.”
To him all the prophets bear witness, that through his name every one that believeth in him shall receive forgiveness of sins.
44 Kabayatan nga ibagbaga pay laeng ni Pedro dagitoy a banbanag, immay ti Espiritu Santo kadagiti amin nga agdengdengngeg iti mensahena.
While Peter was yet speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all that heard the word.
45 Dagiti tattao a naibilang iti nakugit a bunggoy dagiti namati - amin dagidiay nakikuyog kenni Pedro-ket nagsiddaawda, gapu ta ti sagut ti Espiritu Santo ket naibukbok met kadagiti Hentil.
And those of the circumcision who believed, as many as came with Peter, were astonished that on the gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Spirit;
46 Ta nangngegdan dagitoy a Hentil nga agsasao iti sabali a pagsasao ken agdaydayaw iti Dios. Ket simmungbat ni Pedro,
for they heard them speaking with tongues, and magnifying God. Then answered Peter,
47 “Adda kadi siasinoman a manglapped iti pannakabausitar dagitoy a tattao, dagitoy a tattao a nangawat iti Espiritu Santo a kasta met kadatayo?”
Can any one forbid water, that these should not be baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit even as we have?
48 Kalpasan ket binilinna isuda a mabautisaranda iti nagan ni Jesu-Cristo. Ket dinawatda kenkuana a makipagnaed isuna kadakuada iti sumagmamano nga aldaw.
And he commanded that they should be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they entreated him to remain some days.
