1 Ket ita, kakabsat, ikararagandakami, tapno napardas iti pannaka-iwaragawag iti sao iti Apo ken maitan-ok, a kas met maaramid kadakayo.
Henceforth, brethren, pray ye for us, that the word of our Lord may, in every place, run and be glorified, as with you;
2 Ikararagyo a maiyadayokami manipud kadagiti nadangkes ken dakes a tattao, gapu ta saan nga amin ket addaan ti pammati.
and that we may be delivered from evil and perverse men; for faith is not in all.
3 Ngem napudno ti Apo, a mangpatibker ken mangaywan kadakayo manipud iti dakes.
And faithful is the Lord, who will keep you and rescue you from the evil One.
4 Adda panagtalekmi iti Apo maipapan kadakayo, nga itultuloyyo nga aramiden dagiti banbanag nga ibilinmi.
And we have confidence in you, through our Lord, that what we have inculcated on you, ye both have done, and will do.
5 Iturong koma iti Apo dagiti puspusoyo iti ayat iti Dios ken iti kinaibtur ni Cristo.
And may our Lord direct your hearts to the love of God, and to a patient waiting for the Messiah.
6 Ita bilinendakayo, kakabsat, iti nagan ni Jesu-Cristo nga Apotayo, a liklikanyo iti tunggal kabsat nga agbibiag iti kinasadut ken saan a segun kadagiti kaugalian a naawatyo kadakami.
And we enjoin upon you, my brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus the Messiah, that ye withdraw from every brother who walketh wickedly, and not according to the precepts which ye received from us.
7 Ta ammoyo mismo nga umno para kadakayo a tuladendakami. Saankami a nakipagbiag kadakayo a kas kadagiti awanan iti disiplina.
For ye know how ye ought to imitate us, who did not walk wickedly among you.
8 Ken saankami a nangan iti taraon iti siasinoman a saanmi a binayadan daytoy. Ngem ketdi, nagtrabaho ken nagbannogkami iti rabii ken aldaw iti narigat a panagtrabaho, tapno saankami nga agbalin a padagsen iti siasinoman kadakayo.
Neither did we eat bread gratuitously from any of you; but, with toil and weariness, we labored by night and by day, that we might not be burdensome to any of you.
9 Inaramidmi daytoy a saan a gapu ta awan iti turaymi. Ngem ketdi, inaramidmi daytoy tapno agbalinkami a pagulidanan kadakayo, tapno tuladendakami koma.
It was not because we have no authority, but that we might give you an example in ourselves, that ye might imitate us.
10 Idi addakami kadakayo, imbilinmi kadakayo, “No adda iti saan a mangayat nga agtrabaho, rumbeng a saan a mangan.”
And while we were with you, we also gave you this precept, That every one who would not work, should likewise not eat.
11 Ta nangngegmi nga adda kadakayo ti agbibiag iti kinasadut. Saanda nga agtrabaho ngem ketdi mannakibiangda.
For we hear, there are some among you who walk wickedly, and do nothing except vain things.
12 Ita, dagiti bilinenmi ken bagbagaanmi iti nagan ni Apo Jesu-Cristo, a rumbeng nga agtrabahoda iti kinatalna ken kanenda iti bukodda a taraon.
Now such persons, we command and exhort, by our Lord Jesus the Messiah, that in quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
13 Ngem dakayo, kakabsat, saankayo a maupay iti panagar-aramid iti umno.
And my brethren, let it not be wearisome to you, to do what is good.
14 No addaman iti saan nga agtulnog iti saomi iti daytoy a surat, tandaananyo isuna ken saankayo a makikadua kenkuana, tapno mabainan isuna.
And if any one hearkeneth not to these my words in this epistle, separate that man from you, and have no intimacy with him, that he may be ashamed.
15 Saanyo nga ibilang isuna a kas maysa a kabusor ngem ballaaganyo isuna a kas maysa a kabsat.
Yet, hold him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
16 Ited koma ti Apo ti kapia kadakayo iti talna iti amin a tiempo iti amin a wagas. Adda koma kadakayo amin iti Apo.
And may the Lord of peace give you peace, always, in every thing. Our Lord be with you all.
17 Siak ni Pablo, daytoy iti kablaawko iti bukodko nga ima, nga isu iti pagilasinan iti tunggal isuratko. Daytoy ti isuratko
The salutation in the writing of my own hand, I Paul have written it; which is the token in all my epistles, so I write.
18 Adda koma kadakayo ti parabur ni Jesu- Cristo nga Apotayo.
The grace of Jesus the Messiah be with you all, my brethren. Amen.
