< II Samuel 9 >

1 Kinuna ni David, “Adda pay kadi nabati iti pamilia ni Saul a mabalin a pangipakitaak ti kinasayaat gapu kenni Jonatan?”
And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?
2 Adda ti sigud nga adipen ti pamilia ni Saul nga agnagan ti Siba, ket inayabanda daytoy a sumango kenni David. Kinuna ti ari kenkuana, “Sika kadi ni Siba?” Simmungbat isuna, “Wen apo. Siak ti adipenmo.”
And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba. And when they had called him to David, the king said to him, Are you Ziba? And he said, Your servant is he.
3 Isu a kinuna ti ari, “Awan kadin ti nabati iti pamilia ni Saul a mabalin a pangipakitaak iti kinasayaat ti Dios?” Simmungbat ni Siba iti ari, “Adda pay laeng ti putot a lalaki ni Jonatan, a pilay dagiti sakana.”
And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may show the kindness of God to him? And Ziba said to the king, Jonathan has yet a son, which is lame on his feet.
4 Kinuna ti ari kenkuana, “Sadino ti ayanna?” Simmungbat ni Siba iti ari, “Kitaem, adda isuna idiay balay ni Makir a putot a lalaki ni Ammiel idiay Lo Debar.”
And the king said to him, Where is he? And Ziba said to the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lodebar.
5 Nangibaon ngarud ni David iti mapan mangiruar kenkuana manipud iti balay ni Makir a putot a lalaki ni Ammiel manipud Lo Debar.
Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, from Lodebar.
6 Napan ngarud ni Mefiboset a putot a lalaki ni Jonatan, nga apoko ni Saul, kenni David ket nagrukob isuna a nakadekket ti rupana iti daga kas panagpadayawna kenni David. Kinuna ni David, “Mefiboset.” Simmungbat isuna, “Adtoyak, siak ti adipenmo!”
Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come to David, he fell on his face, and did reverence. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold your servant!
7 Kinuna ni David kenkuana, “Saanka nga agbuteng, ta awan duadua nga ipakitak kenka ti kinasayaat gapu kenni amam a ni Jonatan, isublik kenka dagiti amin a daga daydi Saul nga apongmo, ken kanayonka a mangan iti lamisaanko.'”
And David said to him, Fear not: for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father’s sake, and will restore you all the land of Saul your father; and you shall eat bread at my table continually.
8 Nagdumog ni Mefiboset sana kinuna, “Ania koma daytoy adipenmo, a pakitaam ti pabor iti kasla natay nga aso a kas kaniak?”
And he bowed himself, and said, What is your servant, that you should look on such a dead dog as I am?
9 Ket pinaayaban ti ari ni Siba nga adipen ni Saul, ket kinunana kenkuana, “Intedkon iti putot a lalaki ti amom dagiti amin a sanikua ni Saul ken ti pamiliana.
Then the king called to Ziba, Saul’s servant, and said to him, I have given to your master’s son all that pertained to Saul and to all his house.
10 Sika ti mangtalon ti daga para kenkuana, sika ken dagiti putotmo a lallaki ken dagiti adipenmo, ken nasken nga apitenyo dagiti mula tapno adda taraon a kanen ti apoko ti sigud nga amom. Ngem kanayon a mangan ni Mefiboset nga apoko ti sigud nga amom iti lamisaanko.” Ita addaan iti 15 a putot a lallaki ken 20 nga adipen ni Siba.
You therefore, and your sons, and your servants, shall till the land for him, and you shall bring in the fruits, that your master’s son may have food to eat: but Mephibosheth your master’s son shall eat bread always at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.
11 Ket kinuna ni Siba iti ari, “Aramiden ti adipenmo dagiti amin nga imbilin ti amok nga ari iti adipenna.” Kinunana pay ti ari, “No maipapan kenni Mefiboset mangan isuna iti lamisaanko, kas maysa kadagiti annak ti ari.”
Then said Ziba to the king, According to all that my lord the king has commanded his servant, so shall your servant do. As for Mephibosheth, said the king, he shall eat at my table, as one of the king’s sons.
12 Addaan ni Mefiboset iti putot nga agtutubo a lalaki nga agnagan Mika. Ket dagiti amin nga agnanaed iti balay ni Siba ket adipen ni Mefiboset.
And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Micha. And all that dwelled in the house of Ziba were servants to Mephibosheth.
13 Nagnaed ngarud ni Mefiboset idiay Jerusalem, ken kanayon isuna a mangmangan iti lamisaan ti ari, uray agpada a pilay dagiti sakana.
So Mephibosheth dwelled in Jerusalem: for he did eat continually at the king’s table; and was lame on both his feet.
