< II Samuel 14 >

1 Ita, naawatan ni Joab a putot a lalaki ni Zeyuras ti tarigagay ti puso ti ari a makakita kenni Absalom.
Then Ioab the sonne of Zeruiah perceyued, that the Kings heart was toward Absalom,
2 Isu a nangibilin ni Joab idiay Tekoa iti sao nga adda maiyeg kenkuana a maysa a nasirib a babai. Kinunana iti babai, “Pangngaasim ta agpammarangka a kas agladladingit ken agpaneska. Pangngaasim ta saanmo a pulotan ta bagbagim iti lana, ngem ketdi kas iti babai a nabayagen nga agladladingit gapu iti minatayna.
And Ioab sent to Tekoah, and brought thence a subtile woman, and sayd vnto her, I pray thee, fayne thy selfe to mourne, and nowe put on mourning apparel, and anoynt not thy selfe with oyle: but be as a woman that had now long time mourned for the dead.
3 Ket mapanka iti ayan ti ari ket ibagam kenkuana dagiti ibagak.” Imbaga ngarud ni Joab kenkuana dagiti sasao nga ibagana iti ari.
And come to the King, and speake on this maner vnto him, (for Ioab taught her what she should say).
4 Idi napan nakisarita iti ari ti nasirib a babai a naggapu idiay Tekoa, nagpakleb isuna iti daga ket kinunana, “Apo ari tulongannak.”
Then the woman of Tekoah spake vnto the king, and fel downe on her face to the ground, and did obeysance, and sayd, Helpe, O King.
5 Kinuna ti ari kenkuana, “Ania ti napasamak?” Simmungbat ti babai, “Ti kinapudnona ket maysaak a balo, ken natayen ti asawak.
Then the King sayd vnto her, What aileth thee? And she answered, I am in deede a widow, and mine husband is dead:
6 Siak, nga adipenmo ken addaan iti dua nga annak a lallaki, ket nagapada a dua idiay talon ken awan ti nanganawa kadakuada. Pinang-or ti maysa ti maysa ket napapatayna.
And thine handmayd had two sonnes, and they two stroue together in the fielde: (and there was none to part them) so the one smote the other, and slew him.
7 Ket ita, sangsangkamaysa a bimmusor kaniak nga adipenmo ti sibubukel a puli, ket kinunada, ''Ipaimayo kadakami ti anak a nangpang-or iti kabsatna, tapno papatayenmi isuna, a kasukat ti biag ti kabsatna a pinatayna.' Ket dadaelenda uray pay ti agtawid. Iti kasta, pukawendanto ti nabatik a beggang, ket awan ibatida nga uray man laeng nagan wenno kaputotan ti asawak iti rabaw ti daga.”
And beholde, the whole familie is risen against thine handmayde, and they sayde, Deliuer him that smote his brother, that we may kill him for the soule of his brother whome hee slewe, that we may destroy the heire also: so they shall quenche my sparkle which is left, and shall not leaue to mine husband neither name nor posteritie vpon the earth.
8 Kinuna ngarud ti ari iti babai, Agawidka iti balaymo, ket mangibilinakto iti maysa a banag a maaramid a maipaay kenka.”
And the King said vnto the woman, Go to thine house, and I wil giue a charge for thee.
9 Simmungbat iti ari ti babai a naggapu idiay Tekoa, “Apok nga ari, maadda koma kaniak ken iti pamilia ni amak ti pammabasol. Ta awan ti nagbiddutan ti ari ken iti tronona.”
Then the woman of Tekoah said vnto the King, My lord, O King, this trespas be on me, and on my fathers house, and the King and his throne be giltlesse.
10 Simmungbat ti ari, “Siasinoman nga agibaga iti aniaman kenka, iyegmo kaniak, ket saannakanton a sagiden.”
And the King sayde, Bring him to me that speaketh against thee, and he shall touche thee no more.
11 Kinuna ngarud ti babai, “Pangngaasim, malagip koma ti ari ni Yahweh a Diosmo, tapno saanen a dadaelen ti tao nga agibales iti dara ti siasinoman pay, tapno saanda a papatayen ti anakko a lalaki.” Simmungbat ti ari, “Iti nagan ni Yahweh nga adda iti agnanayon, awan uray maysa a buok ti anakmo a lalaki ti matnagto iti daga.
Then said she, I pray thee, let the King remember the Lord thy God, that thou wouldest not suffer many reuengers of blood to destroy, lest they slay my sonne. And he answered, As the Lord liueth, there shall not one heare of thy sonne fall to the earth.
12 Kinuna ngarud ti babai. Pangngaasim ta palubosam daytoy adipenmo nga agibaga pay iti apok nga ari.” Kinuna ti ari, “Agsaoka latta.”
Then the woman said, I pray thee, let thine handmayde speake a worde to my lord the King. And he sayd, Say on.
13 Ket kinuna ti babai, “Apay a nagaramidka iti maysa a banag a maibusor kadagiti tattao ti Dios? Ta ti panangibagbaga iti daytoy a banag, kasla maysa a tao ti ari a nagbiddut, gapu ta saan pay a pinagsubli ti ari ti nagtalaw nga anakna a lalaki iti pagtaenganna.
Then the woman sayde, Wherefore then hast thou thought such a thing against the people of God? or why doeth the King, as one which is faultie, speake this thing, that he will not bring againe his banished?
14 Ta mataytayo amin ken maiyarig tayo iti danum a saanen a maurnong kalpasan a naibuyat iti daga. Ngem saan a pukawen ti Dios ti biag; ngem ketdi, mangbirok isuna iti wagas tapno pasublienna ti tao a pinapanawna manipud kenkuana.
For we must needes dye, and we are as water spilt on the ground, which cannot be gathered vp againe: neither doeth God spare any person, yet doeth he appoynt meanes, not to cast out from him, him that is expelled.
15 Ita ngarud, makitkitam nga immayak a mangibaga iti daytoy a banag iti apok nga ari, gapu ta pinagbutengdak dagiti tattao. Isu a kinuna ti adipenmo iti bagina, 'Makisaritaak ita iti ari. Mabalin a ti ari ti mangaramid ti kiddaw ti adipenna.
Nowe therefore that I am come to speake of this thing vnto my lord the King, the cause is that the people haue made me afrayd: therefore thine handmayde sayd, Nowe will I speake vnto the King: it may be that the King will perfourme the request of his handmayde.
16 Ta dumngegto ti ari kaniak, tapno mawayawayaan ti adipenna manipud iti ima ti tao a mangdadael koma kadakami iti anakko a lalaki, manipud iti impatawid ti Dios.'
For the King wil heare, to deliuer his handmayde out of the hande of the man that woulde destroy mee, and also my sonne from the inheritance of God.
17 Kalpasanna, nagkararag daytoy adipenmo, 'Yahweh, pangngaasim ta palubusam a mapalag-anannak koma ti sao ti apok nga ari, ta kas maysa nga anghel ti Dios, kasta met ti apok nga ari iti panangibagbagana iti naimbag manipud iti dakes.' Makikaadda koma kenka ni Yahweh a Diosmo.”
Therefore thine handmaid sayd, The word of my lord the King shall now be comfortable: for my lorde the King is euen as an Angel of God in hearing of good and bad: therefore the Lord thy God be with thee.
18 Simmungbat ngarud ti ari ket kinunana iti babai, “Pangngaasim ta saanmo nga ilibak kaniak ti aniaman a saludsudek kenka.” Simmungbat ti babai, “Agsao koma itan ti apok nga ari.”
Then the King answered, and said vnto the woman, Hide not from me, I pray thee, the thing that I shall aske thee. And the woman sayde, Let my lord the King now speake.
19 Kinuna ti ari, “Saan kadi a ti ima ni Joab ti kaduam iti daytoy?” Simmungbat ti babai ken kinunana, “Kas agbibiagka apok nga ari, awan ti makalibas iti kannawan nga ima wenno iti kannigid manipud kadagiti banbanag nga imbaga ti apok nga ari. Ni Joab nga adipenmo ti nangbilin ken nangibaga kaniak nga ibagak dagitoy a babanag nga naibaga daytoy adipenmo.
And the King said, Is not the hand of Ioab with thee in all this? Then the woman answered, and sayd, As thy soule liueth, my lord the King, I will not turne to the right hande nor to the left, from ought that my lorde the King hath spoken: for euen thy seruant Ioab bade mee, and he put all these wordes in the mouth of thine handmayde.
20 Inaramid daytoy ti adipenmo a ni Joab tapno mabaliwanna ti mapaspasamak. Nasirib ti apok, kas iti kinasirib ti maysa nga anghel ti Dios, ket ammona amin a banbanag a mapaspasamak iti daga.”
For to the intent that I should chage the forme of speach, thy seruant Ioab hath done this thing: but my lord is wise according to the wisdome of an Angel of God to vnderstande all things that are in the earth.
21 Isu nga imbaga ti ari kenni Joab, “Kitaem ita, aramidek daytoy a banag. Inka ngarud, ket isublim ditoy ti agtutubo a ni Absalom.”
And the King sayde vnto Ioab, Beholde nowe, I haue done this thing: go then, and bring the yong man Absalom againe.
22 Isu a nagpakleb iti daga ni Joab kas panangipakitana iti panagdayaw ken panagyamanna iti ari. Kinuna ni Joab, “Ita nga aldaw, ammo daytoy adipenmo a nakasarakak iti pabor iti imatangmo, apok nga ari, iti dayta, pinatgan ti ari ti kiddaw ti adipenna.”
And Ioab fell to the grounde on his face, and bowed himselfe, and thanked the King. Then Ioab sayde, This day thy seruant knoweth, that I haue found grace in thy sight, my lord the King, in that the King hath fulfilled the request of his seruant.
23 Isu a timmakder ni Joab ket napan idiay Gesur, ken inayawidna ni Absalom idiay Jerusalem.
And Ioab arose, and went to Geshur, and brought Absalom to Ierusalem.
24 Kinuna ti ari, “Mabalinna ti agsubli iti bukodna a balay, ngem saanna a mabalin a makita ti rupak.” Nagsubli ngarud ni Absalom iti bukodna a balay, ngem saanna a nakita ti rupa ti ari.
And the King sayde, Let him turne to his owne house, and not see my face. So Absalom turned to his owne house, and saw not the Kings face.
25 Ita iti entero nga Israel, awan iti ad-adda a naidaydayaw gapu iti kinataerna ngem ni Absalom. Awan ti pakapilawanna manipud iti dapanna agingga iti tuktokna.
Nowe in all Israel there was none to be so much praysed for beautie as Absalom: from the sole of his foote euen to the toppe of his head there was no blemish in him.
26 No pukisanna ti buokna tunggal agleppas ti tawen, gapu ta nadagsen daytoy kenkuana, timbangenna ti buokna; agdagsen daytoy iti agarup dua gasut a siklo, a natimbag iti pagtimbangan ti ari.
And when he polled his head, (for at euery yeeres ende he polled it: because it was too heauie for him, therefore he polled it) he weyghed the heare of his head at two hundreth shekels by the Kings weight.
27 Naaddaan ni Joab iti tallo a putot a lallaki ken maysa a babai nga agnagan ti Tamar. Napintas isuna a babai.
And Absalom had three sonnes, and one daughter named Tamar, which was a fayre woman to looke vpon.
28 Nagnaed ni Absalom idiay Jerusalem iti uneg ti dua a tawen a saanna a nakitkita ti rupa ti ari.
So Absalom dwelt the space of two yeres in Ierusalem, and saw not the Kings face.
29 Kalpasanna, nangibilin iti sao ni Absalom kenni Joab nga ibaonna ni Joab iti ari, ngem saan a napan kenkuana ni Joab. Isu a nangibilin manen ti sao ni Absalom iti maikadua a daras, ngem saan latta a napan ni Joab.
Therefore Absalom sent for Ioab to sende him to the King, but he would not come to him: and when he sent againe, he would not come.
30 Isu a kinuna ni Absalom kadagiti adipenna, “Kitaenyo, adda iti talon ni Joab iti abay ti talonko, ken addaan isuna iti sebada sadiay. Inkayo ket puoranyo daytoy.” Isu a pinuoran dagiti adipen ni Absalom ti talon.
Therefore he sayde vnto his seruants, Beholde, Ioab hath a fielde by my place, and hath barley therein: go, and set it on fire: and Absaloms seruants set the field on fire.
31 Timmakder ngarud ni Joab ken napan ni Joab iti balay ni Absalom, ket kinunana, “Apay a pinuoran dagiti adipenmo ti talonko?
Then Ioab arose, and came to Absalom vnto his house, and sayd vnto him, Wherefore haue thy seruants burnt my field with fire?
32 Sinungbatan ni Absalom ni Joab, “Kitaem, nangibilinak iti sao kenka a mangibagbaga nga, 'Umayka ditoy ta ibaonka iti ayan iti ari ta ibagam, “Apay a naiyegak ditoy manipud Gesur? Ita ngarud bay-am a makitak ti rupa ti ari, ket no nagbiddutak, bay-am a papatayennak.””
And Absalom answered Ioab, Beholde, I sent for thee, saying, Come thou hither, and I wil send thee to the King for to say, Wherefore am I come from Geshur? It had bene better for me to haue bene there still: nowe therefore let mee see the Kings face: and if there be any trespasse in me, let him kill me.
33 Isu a napan ni Joab iti ari ket imbagana kenkuana. Idi pinaayaban ti ari ni Absalom, napan isuna iti ari ken nagrukob iti daga iti sangoanan ti ari, ket inagekan ti ari ni Absalom.
Then Ioab came to the King, and told him: and he called for Absalom, who came to the King, and bowed himselfe to the grounde on his face before the King, and the King kissed Absalom.
