< 2 Cronicas 18 >
1 Ita, bimmaknang ken mararaem iti kasta unay ni Jehosafat; nakigayyem isuna kenni Ahab babaen iti panangipaasawana iti maysa kadagiti pamiliana iti putot a babai ni Ahab.
And Josaphat had yet great wealth and glory, and he connected himself by marriage with the house of Achaab.
2 Kalpasan iti sumagmamano a tawen, simmalog isuna iti ayan ni Ahab idiay Samaria. Nangparti ni Ahab iti adu a karnero ken baka para kenkuana ken kadagiti tattao a kaduana. Inallukoy met isuna ni Ahab a makikadua kenkuana a mangraut iti Ramot Galaad.
And he went down after a term of years to Achaab to Samaria: and Achaab killed for him sheep and calves, in abundance, and for the people with him, and he much desired him to go up with him to Ramoth of the country of Galaad.
3 Kinuna ni Ahab nga ari ti Israel kenni Jehosafat nga ari ti Juda, “Sumurotka kadi kaniak idiay Ramot Galaad?” Insungbat ni Jehosafat iti ari ti Israel, “Kaslaak kenka, ken dagiti tattaok ket kasla kadagiti tattaom; kaduaandakayonto a makigubat.”
And Achaab king of Israel said to Josaphat king of Juda, Will you go with me to Ramoth of the country of Galaad? And he said to him, As I [am], so also [are] you, as your people, [so] also [is] my people with you for the war.
4 Kinuna ni Jehosafat iti ari ti Israel, “Pangaasim ta ammoem pay nga umuna ti ibaga ni Yahweh para iti sungbatmo.”
And Josaphat said to the king of Israel, Seek, I pray you, the Lord today.
5 Ket inummong ti ari ti Israel dagiti profetana, 400 a lallaki, ket kinunana kadakuada, “Mapanmi kadi rauten ti Ramot Galaad wenno saan? Kinunada, “Rautenyo, ta pagballigiento ti Dios ti ari.”
And the king of Israel gathered the prophets, four hundred men, and said to them, Shall I go to Ramoth Galaad to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up, and God shall deliver [it] into the hands of the king.
6 Ngem kinuna ni Jehosafat, “Awan kadin ditoy ti sabali pay a profeta ni Yahweh a mabalintayo a pagkiddawan iti balakad?”
And Josaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the Lord besides, that we may enquire of him?
7 Kinuna ti ari ti Israel kenni Jehosafat, “Adda pay maysa a tao a mabalintayo a pagdawatan iti balakad manipud kenni Yahweh, ni Micaias a putot ni Imla, ngem kagurgurak isuna ta saan a pulos a mangipadto iti aniaman a nasayaat a banag maipanggep kaniak, ngem ketdi pasig a kinarigat laeng.” Ngem kinuna ni Jehosafat, “Saan koma nga ibaga ti ari dayta.”
And the king of Israel said to Josaphat, There is yet one man by whom to enquire of the Lord; but I hate him, for he does not prophesy concerning me for good, for all his days [are] for evil: this [is] Michaias the son of Jembla. And Josaphat said, Let not the king say so.
8 Ket nangayab ti ari ti Israel iti opisial ket binilinna, “Iyegyo itan ni Micaias a putot ni Imla.”
And the king called an eunuch, and said, [Fetch] quickly Michaias the son of Jembla.
9 Ita, nakatugaw ni Ahab nga ari ti Israel ken ni Jehosafat nga ari ti Juda kadagiti tronoda, nakakawesda kadagiti pagan-anayda a kas ari, iti nawaya a lugar iti pagserkan ti ruangan ti Samaria, ket agipadpadto dagiti amin a profeta, iti sangoananda.
And the king of Israel and Josaphat king of Juda were sitting each on his throne, and clothed in their robes, sitting in the open space at the entrance of the gate of Samaria: and all the prophets were prophesying before them.
10 Nangaramid ni Zedekias a putot ni Kenaana iti sinan-sara a landok ket kinunana, “Kastoy ti imbaga ni Yahweh: 'Babaen kadagitoy maparmekyonto dagiti taga-Aram agingga a maibusda.”
And Sedekias son of Chanaan made for himself iron horns, and said, Thus says the Lord, With these you shall thrust Syria until it be consumed.
11 Ket kasta met laeng ti impadto dagiti amin a profeta, a kunada, “Rautenyo ti Ramot Galaad ket agballigikayo, ta inyawat daytoy ni Yahweh iti ima ti ari.”
And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth Galaad, and you shall prosper; and the Lord shall deliver it into the hands of the king.
12 Nakisao kenni Micaias ti mensahero a napan nangayab kenkuana, a kunana, “Ita dumngegka, pasig a nasayaat a banbanag dagiti sasao nga imbaga dagiti profeta ti ari. Pangngaasim ta ibagam koma ti kas iti imbaga ti maysa kadakuada ket nasayaat a banbanag ti ibagam.”
And the messenger that went to call Michaias spoke to him, saying, Behold, the prophets have spoken favourably concerning the king with one mouth; let now, I pray you, your words be as [the words] of one of them, and do you speak good things.
13 Insungbat ni Micaias, “Iti nagan ni Yahweh nga adda iti agnanayon, no ania ti ibaga ni Yahweh kaniak ti sawek.”
And Michaias said, [As] the Lord lives, whatever God shall say to me, that will I speak.
14 Idi napan isuna iti ayan ti ari, kinuna ti ari kenkuana, “Micaias, mapanmi kadi rauten ti Ramot Galaad, wenno saan?” Insungbat ni Micaias, “Rautem ket agballigika! Ta dakkelto daytoy a balligi.”
And he came to the king, and the king said to him, Michaias, shall I go up to Ramoth Galaad to battle, or shall I forbear? And he said, Go up, and you shall prosper, and they shall be given into your hands.
15 Ket kinuna ti ari kenkuana, “Namin-ano a daras nga imbagak kenka nga isapatam a ti laeng kinapudno ti ibagam kaniak iti nagan ni Yahweh?”
And the king said to him, How often shall I solemnly charge you that you speak to me nothing but truth in the name of the Lord?
16 Isu a kinuna ni Micaias, “Nakitak ti entero nga Israel a nawarawara kadagiti banbantay, kasda la karnero nga awan mangipaspastor, ket kinuna ni Yahweh, 'Awan mangipaspastor kadagitoy. Agsubli koma ti tunggal maysa iti balayna nga addaan kappia.”’
And he said, I saw Israel scattered on the mountains, as sheep without a shepherd: and the Lord said, These have no commander; let each return to his home in peace.
17 Isu a kinuna ti ari ti Israel kenni Jehosafat, “Saan kadi nga imbagak kenka a saan isuna nga agipadto iti nasayaat maipanggep kaniak, ngem pasig a didigra laeng?”
And the king of Israel said to Josaphat, Said I not to you, that he would not prophesy concerning me good, but evil?
18 Ket kinuna ni Micaias, “Masapul ngarud a denggenyo amin ti sao ni Yahweh: Nakitak ni Yahweh a nakatugaw iti tronona, ken amin dagiti buybuyot ti langit ket agtaktakder iti makannawanna ken iti makannigidna.
But he said, Not so. Hear you the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven stood by on his right hand and on his left.
19 Kinuna ni Yahweh, 'Siasino ti mangallilaw kenni Ahab, nga ari ti Israel tapno sumang-at idiay Ramot Galaad ket maparmek sadiay?' Ket nagduduma ti insungbat ti tunggal maysa.
And the Lord said, Who will deceive Achaab king of Israel, that he may go up, and fall in Ramoth Galaad? And one spoke this way, and another spoke that way.
20 Ket adda maysa nga espiritu a nagpasango, nagtakder iti sangoanan ni Yahweh, ket kinunana, 'Siak ti mangallilaw kenkuana.' Kinuna ni Yahweh kenkuana, 'Kasano?'
And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the Lord, and said, I will deceive him. And the Lord said, Whereby?
21 Insungbat ti espiritu, 'Mapanak ket pag-ulbodek dagiti amin a profetana.' Insungbat ni Yahweh, 'Allilawem isuna, ket agballigikanto. Mapanka ket aramiden ti imbagam.'
And he said, I will go forth, and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And [the Lord] said, You shall deceive [him], and shall prevail: go forth, and do so.
22 'Ita kitaem, pagul-ulboden ni Yahweh dagiti amin a profetam, ket inkeddeng ni Yahweh ti pannakadidigram.”
And now, behold, the Lord has put a false spirit in the mouth of these your prophets, and the Lord has spoken evil against you.
23 Kalpasanna, immasideg ni Zedekaias a putot ni Kenaana, tinungpana ni Micaias, ket kinunana, “Kasano koma a rimmuar kaniak ti Espiritu ni Yahweh tapno makitungtong kenka?”
Then Sedekias the son of Chanaan drew near, and struck Michaias on the cheek, and said to him, By what way passed the Spirit of the Lord from me to speak to you?
24 Kinuna ni Micaias, “Kitaem, maammoamto dayta iti aldaw nga agtarayka a mapan aglemmeng iti akin uneg a siled.”
And Michaias said, Behold, you shall see in that day, when you shall go from chamber to chamber to hide yourself.
25 Kinuna ti ari ti Israel kadagiti dadduma nga adipenna, “Dakayo a tattao tiliwenyo ni Micaias ket ipanyo kenni Amon, a gobernador ti siudad, ken ni Joas, nga anakko.
And the king of Israel said, Take Michaias, and carry him back to Emer the governor of the city, and to Joas the captain, the king's son;
26 Ibagayo kenkuana, 'Kuna ti ari, Ibaludyo daytoy a tao ket bassit laeng a tinapay ti ipakanyo ken bassit laeng a danum, agingga a makasangpetak a sikakaradkad.”’
and you shall say, Thus said the king, Put this fellow into the prison house, and let him eat the bread of affliction, and [drink] the water of affliction, until I return in peace.
27 Ket kinuna ni Micaias, “No makasublika a sikakaradkad, saan ngarud a nagsao ni Yahweh kaniak.” Ket kinunana pay, “Denggenyo daytoy, dakayo amin a tattao.”
And Michaias said, If you do at all return in peace, the Lord has not spoken by me. And he said, Hear, all you people.
28 Simmang-at ngarud da Ahab nga ari ti Israel, ken ni Jehosafat nga ari ti Juda idiay Ramot Galaad.
So the king of Israel, and Josaphat king of Juda, went up to Ramoth Galaad.
29 Kinuna ti ari ti Israel kenni Jehosafat, “Manglimlimoak ket mapanak iti paggugubatan, ngem ikawesmo dagiti pagan-anaymo a kas ari.” Nanglimlimo ngarud ti ari ti Israel ket napan iti paggugubatan.
And the king of Israel said to Josaphat, Disguise me, and I will enter into the battle: and do you put on my raiment. so the king of Israel disguised himself, and entered into the battle.
30 Ita, binilin ti ari ti Aram dagiti kapitan ti karwahena, a kunana, “Saanyo a darupen ti siasinoman kadagiti soldado. Ngem ketdi, ti laeng ari ti Israel ti darupenyo.”
Now the king of Syria had commanded the captains of the chariots that were with him, saying, Fight neither against small nor great, but only against the king of Israel.
31 Ket napasamak nga idi nakita dagiti kapitan ni Jehosafat kinunada, “Dayta ti ari ti Israel.” Nagbaw-ingda a mangdarup kenkuana, ngem nagriaw ni Jehosafat, ket tinulongan isuna ni Yahweh. Pinagsardeng ida ti Dios iti panangdarupda kenkuana.
And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Josaphat, that they said, It is the king of Israel: and they compassed him about to fight against him: and Josaphat cried out, and the Lord delivered him; and God turned them away from him.
32 Ket napasamak nga idi nakita dagiti mangidadaulo kadagiti karwahe a saan nga isu ti ari ti Israel, insardengda ti panangkamatda kenkuana.
And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw that it was not the king of Israel, that they turned away from him.
33 Ngem adda maysa a lalaki a nangibiat iti panana a saanna a kitkitaen ti mapanana ket natamaan ti ari ti Israel iti nagsaipan ti kabalna. Ket kinuna ni Ahab iti mangiturturong iti karwahena, “Agsublita ket ipanawnak ditoy paggugubatan, ta nasugatanak iti nakaro.”
And a man drew a bow with a good aim, and struck the king of Israel between the lungs and the breast-plate: and he said to the charioteer, Turn your hand, drive me out of the battle, for I am wounded.
34 Kimmarkaro ti gubat iti dayta nga aldaw, ket sisasadag ti ari ti Israel iti karwahena a nakasango kadagiti taga-Aram agingga iti rumabii. Idi dandanin a lumnek ti init, natay isuna.
And the battle turned in that day; and the king of Israel remained on the chariot against Syria until evening, and died at sunset.
