< 2 Cronicas 17 >

1 Ni Jehosafat a putotna ti naisaad nga ari a kasukatna ket pinapigsana ti armadana a sumaranget iti Israel.
And Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead, —and strengthened himself against Israel;
2 Nangipuesto isuna kadagiti soldado kadagiti amin a nasarikedkedan a siudad ti Juda, ken nangipasdek kadagiti kampo ti soldado iti daga ti Juda ken kadagiti siudad ti Efraim, a sinakup ni Asa nga amana.
and put forces in all the fortified cities of Judah, —and set garrisons in the land of Judah, and in the cities of Ephraim, which Asa his father had captured.
3 Adda ni Yahweh kenni Jehosafat gapu ta nagbiag isuna a sililinteg a kas iti inaramid ni David nga amana kadagiti umuna a tawen ti panagturayna, ken saan isuna a nagdaydayaw kadagiti Baal.
And it came to pass, that, Yahweh, was with Jehoshaphat, —because he walked in the first ways of David his father, and sought not unto the Baalim;
4 Ngem ketdi, nagtalek isuna iti Dios ti amana, ken tinungpalna dagiti bilbilinna, saanna a sinurot dagiti wagas dagiti tattao ti Israel.
for, unto the God of his father, he sought, and, in his commandments, he walked, —and not according to the doing of Israel.
5 Isu a pinatalged ni Yahweh ti panangituray ni Jehosafat iti pagarian ti Juda; nangiyeg dagiti amin a taga-Juda iti sagudta kenni Jehosafat. Addaan isuna iti aglaplapusanan a kinabaknang ken dayaw.
Therefore did Yahweh establish the kingdom in his hand, and all Judah gave a present unto Jehoshaphat, —and he came to have riches and honour, in abundance.
6 Naipamaysa ti pusona kadagiti wagas ni Yahweh. Inikkatna met dagiti pagdawdayawan ken dagiti tekken ni Asera iti Juda.
And his heart was encouraged, in the ways of Yahweh, —and he, yet further, took away the high places and the Sacred Stems, out of Judah.
7 Iti maika-3 a tawen iti panangiturayna, imbaonna dagiti opisialna a da Benhail, Obadias, Zacarias, Netanel, ken Micaias, a mangisuroda kadagiti siudad ti Juda.
And, in the third year of his reign, he sent to his rulers, even to Ben-hail and to Obadiah and to Zechariah, and to Nethanel, and to Micaiah, —that they were to teach throughout the cities of Judah;
8 Kadduada dagiti Levita; a da Semaias, Netanias, Zebadias, Asael, Semiramot, Jehonatan, Adoniha, Tobijas ken Tobadonijas; ket kaduada dagiti papadi a da Elesama ken Jehoram.
and, with them, Levites, Shemaiah and Nethaniah and Zebadiah and Asahel and Shemiramoth and Jehonathan, and Adonijah and Tobijah and Tob-adonijah, Levites, —and, with them, Elishama and Jehoram, priests;
9 Nangisuroda idiay Juda, intugotda ti Libro ti Linteg ni Yahweh. Napanda kadagiti amin a siudad ti Juda ket nangisuroda kadagiti tattao.
and they taught throughout Judah, and, with them, was the book of the law of Yahweh, —so they went round throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught the people.
10 Ti panagbuteng kenni Yahweh ket nagdissuor kadagiti amin a pagarian kadagiti daga iti aglawlaw ti Juda, isu a saanda a ginubgubat ni Jehosafat.
And it came to pass, that, the dread of Yahweh, was upon all the kingdoms of the countries, that were round about Judah, —and they warred not against Jehoshaphat.
11 Nangiyeg dagiti sumagmamano a Filisteo kadagiti sagutda kenni Jehosafat, ken pirak a kas buisda. Nangiyeg met kenkuana dagiti taga-Arab kadagiti arban, 7, 700 a kalakian a karnero, ken 7, 700 a kalding.
And, from among the Philistines, were they bringing in unto Jehoshaphat a present, and silver as tribute, —even the Arabians, were bringing in unto him flocks, seven thousand seven hundred rams, and seven thousand seven hundred he-goats.
12 Bimmileg iti kasta unay ni Jehosafat. Nangipatakder isuna kadagiti sarikedked ken kadagiti siudad a pangidulinan iti abasto idiay Juda.
And so it came to pass that, Jehoshaphat, went on waxing surpassingly great, —and he built, throughout Judah, fortresses and cities for store;
13 Addaan isuna kadagiti nakaad-adu nga abasto kadagiti siudad ti Juda, ken kadagiti soldado-mamaingel, natutured a lallaki-idiay Jerusalem.
and, much business, had he, throughout the cities of Judah, —but, the men of war, the heroes of valour, were in Jerusalem.
14 Daytoy ti listaanda, agsasaruno babaen iti nagan dagiti balay ti ammada: Manipud iti Juda, dagiti mangidadaulo kadagiti sangaribu; ni Adna a mangidadaulo, ket kaduana dagiti 300, 000 a mannakigubat a lallaki,
And, these, are the numbers of them, by their ancestral house, —To Judah, pertained rulers of thousands, Adnah the chief, and, with him, mighty men of valour, three hundred thousand;
15 ti sumaruno kenkuana ket ni Jehohanan a mangidadaulo, kaduana dagiti 280, 000 a lallaki;
and, under his direction, was Jehohanan the chief, —and, with him, two hundred and eighty thousand;
16 ti sumaruno kenkuana ket ni Amasias a putot a lalaki ni Zikri, a nagdisinudo nga agserbi kenni Yahweh; kaduana dagiti 200, 000 a mannakigubat a lallaki.
and, under his direction, Amasiah son of Zichri, who willingly offered himself unto Yahweh, —and, with him, two hundred thousand heroes of valour.
17 Manipud iti Benjamin: ni Eliada a maysa a maingel ken natured a lalaki, ket kaduana dagiti 200, 000 a nakaarmas kadagiti bai ken kalasag;
And, out of Benjamin, a hero of valour, Eliada, —and, with him, armed with bow and buckler, two hundred thousand;
18 ti sumaruno kenkuana ket ni Jehozabad, ket kaduana dagiti 180, 000 a nakasagana makigubat.
and, under his direction, Jehozabad, —and, with him, a hundred and eighty thousand, equipped for war.
19 Dagitoy dagiti agserserbi iti ari, malaksid kadagiti impuesto ti ari kadagiti nasarikedkedan a siudad iti entero a Juda.
These, were they who were waiting upon the king, —besides those whom the king placed in the fortified cities, throughout all Judah.
