< 2 Cronicas 11 >
1 Idi nakasangpet ni Rehoboam idiay Jerusalem, inummongna ti balay ni Juda ken Benjamin, 180, 000 a napili a lallaki a soldado, a makigubat iti Israel, tapno maisubli manen ti pagarian kenni Rehoboam.
When Rehoboam arrived in Jerusalem, he mobilized the house of Judah and Benjamin—180,000 chosen warriors—to fight against Israel and restore the kingdom to Rehoboam.
2 Ngem immay ti sao ni Yahweh kenni Semaias, a tao ti Dios, a kunana,
But the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah the man of God:
3 “Agsaoka kenni Rehoboam, a putot a lalaki ni Solomon, nga ari ti Juda, ken kadagiti amin a tattao ti Israel idiay Juda ken Benjamin; a kunam,
“Tell Rehoboam son of Solomon king of Judah and all the Israelites in Judah and Benjamin
4 'Kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh: Rumbeng a saanyo a rauten wenno gubaten dagiti kakabsatyo. Rumbeng nga agsubli ti tunggal lalaki iti balayna, ta pagayatak ti napasamak.”' Impangagda ngarud dagiti sasao ni Yahweh ket imbabawida ti panangrautda kenni Jeroboam.
that this is what the LORD says: ‘You are not to go up and fight against your brothers. Each of you must return home, for this word is from Me.’” So they listened to the words of the LORD and turned back from going against Jeroboam.
5 Nagnaed ni Rehoboam idiay Jerusalem ket nangibangon kadagiti siudad idiay Juda a pangsalaknib.
Rehoboam continued to live in Jerusalem, and he built up cities for defense in Judah.
6 Binangonna ti Betlehem, Etam, Tekoa,
He built up Bethlehem, Etam, Tekoa,
7 Bet-zur, Soco, Adullam,
Beth-zur, Soco, Adullam,
Adoraim, Lachish, Azekah,
10 Zora, Aijalon ken Hebron. Dagitoy dagiti nasarikedkedan a siudad idiay Juda ken Benjamin.
Zorah, Aijalon, and Hebron, the fortified cities in Judah and Benjamin.
11 Pinalagdana dagiti sarikedked ket nangisaad isuna kadagiti mangidaulo kadagitoy, nga addaan kadagiti abasto a taraon, lana, ken arak.
He strengthened their fortresses and put officers in them, with supplies of food, oil, and wine.
12 Nangikabil isuna kadagiti kalasag ken gayang iti tunggal siudad ken pinatibkerna dagiti siudad. Kukuana ti Juda ken Benjamin.
He also put shields and spears in all the cities and strengthened them greatly. So Judah and Benjamin belonged to him.
13 Napan kenkuana dagiti padi ken Levita nga adda iti entero nga Israel manipud kadagiti beddengda.
Moreover, the priests and Levites from all their districts throughout Israel stood with Rehoboam.
14 Ta pinanawan dagiti Levita dagiti pagpastoranda ken sanikuada tapno mapanda idiay Juda ken Jerusalem; ta pinagtalaw ida ni Jeroboam ken dagiti putotna a lallaki, tapno saandan a maaramid dagiti pagrebbenganda a kas padi ni Yahweh.
For the Levites left their pasturelands and their possessions and went to Judah and Jerusalem, because Jeroboam and his sons had rejected them as priests of the LORD.
15 Nangdutok ni Jeroboam kadagiti bukodna a padi nga agserbi kadagiti disso a pagdaydayawan ken kadagiti didiosen a sinan-urbon a baka ken sinan-kalding nga inaramidna.
And Jeroboam appointed his own priests for the high places and for the goat demons and calf idols he had made.
16 Simmurot kadakuada dagiti tattao a nagtaud iti amin a tribu ti Israel, dagiti nangipapuso a mangsapul kenni Yahweh a Dios ti Israel; napanda idiay Jerusalem tapno mangidatagda kenni Yahweh a Dios dagiti kapuonanda.
Those from every tribe of Israel who had set their hearts to seek the LORD their God followed the Levites to Jerusalem to sacrifice to the LORD, the God of their fathers.
17 Isu a pinatibkerda ti pagarian ti Juda, ken pinabilegda ni Rehoboam a putot ni Solomon, bayat iti tallo a tawen—ta nagbiagda iti wagas da David ken Solomon iti tallo a tawen.
So they strengthened the kingdom of Judah and supported Rehoboam son of Solomon for three years, because they walked for three years in the way of David and Solomon.
18 Inasawa ni Rehoboam ni Mahalat nga anak a babai da Abigail ken Jerimot a putot a lalaki ni David, ni Abigail ti putot a babai ni Eliab, a putot a lalaki ni Jesse.
And Rehoboam married Mahalath, who was the daughter of David’s son Jerimoth and of Abihail, the daughter of Jesse’s son Eliab.
19 Nangipasngay ni Mahalat iti annak a lallaki: Da Jeus, Semarias ken Zaham.
She bore sons to him: Jeush, Shemariah, and Zaham.
20 Kalpasan ni Mahalat, inasawa ni Rehoboam ni Maaca a putot a babai ni Absalom; impasngayna da Abias, Attai, Ziza ken Selomit.
After her, he married Maacah daughter of Absalom, and she bore to him Abijah, Attai, Ziza, and Shelomith.
21 Ad-adda nga inayat ni Rehoboam ni Maaca a putot a babai ni Absalom ngem kadagiti dadduma nga assawana ken kadagiti kamalalana (nangasawa isuna iti sangapulo ket walo ken innem a pulo ti kamalalana, ken duapulo ket walo ti putotna a lallaki ken innem a pulo a babbai).
Rehoboam loved Maacah daughter of Absalom more than all his wives and concubines. In all, he had eighteen wives and sixty concubines, and he was the father of twenty-eight sons and sixty daughters.
22 Dinutokan ni Rehoboam ni Abias nga anak ni Maaca a kas panguloen, a mangidaulo kadagiti kakabsatna; gandatna nga isuna ti isaadna nga ari.
Rehoboam appointed Abijah son of Maacah as chief prince among his brothers, intending to make him king.
23 Nagturay a sisisirib ni Rehoboam; inwarasna dagiti amin a putotna a lallaki iti entero a daga ti Juda ken Benjamin iti tunggal nasarikedkedan a siudad. Inikkanna pay ida iti nabuslon a taraon ken imbirokanna ida iti adu nga assawa.
Rehoboam also acted wisely by dispersing some of his sons throughout the districts of Judah and Benjamin, and to all the fortified cities. He gave them abundant provisions and sought many wives for them.
