< 1 Timoteo 4 >
1 Ita, nalawag nga ibagbaga ti Espiritu a kadagiti maud-udi a tiempo, panawanto dagiti tattao ti pammati ken ipangagda dagiti manangallilaw nga espiritu ken dagiti sursuro dagiti demonio.
Howbeit, the Spirit, expressly saith—that, in later seasons, some will revolt from the faith, giving heed unto seducing spirits, and unto teachings of demons—
2 babaen iti inuulbod a kinamanaginsisingpet. Mamarkaanto dagiti bukodda a nakem.
in hypocrisy, speaking falsehood, [of demons] cauterised in their own conscience, —
3 Paritandanto a makiasawa ken umawat kadagiti taraon a pinarsua ti Dios a maipaay iti panangibingay a mabuyogan iti panagyaman dagiti mamati ken makaammo iti kinapudno.
Forbidding to marry, [commanding] to abstain from foods which, God, created to be received with thanksgiving by them who believe and personally know the truth;
4 Ta nasayaat ti tunggal banag a pinarsua ti Dios. Awan mailaksid kadagiti laklak-amentayo a nabuyogan ti panagyaman.
Because, every creature of God, is good, and nothing to be cast away, if, with thanksgiving, it be received, —
5 Ta daytoy ket naidaton babaen iti sao ti Dios ken kararag.
For it is hallowed by the word of God and intercession,
6 No ikabilmo dagitoy a banbanag iti sangoanan dagiti kakabsat, agbalinkanto a nasayaat nga adipen ni Jesu-Cristo. Ta mapappapigsaka babaen iti sasao ti pammati ken babaen iti nasayaat a sursuro a sinurotmo.
These things, submitting to the brethren, thou shall be, a noble, minister of Christ Jesus, nourishing thyself with the words of the faith, and of the noble teaching which thou hast closely studied.
7 Ngem saanmo nga awaten dagiti inuulbod nga istoria a pagaayat dagiti babbaket. Ngem ketdi, sanayem ti bagim iti nadiosan a panagbiag.
But, from the profane and old-wives’ stories, excuse thyself, and be training thyself unto godliness;
8 Ta ti panangsanay iti bagi ket bassit laeng ti pakausaranna, ngem ti nadiosan a panagbiag ket adda pakausaranna para iti amin a banbanag. Addaan daytoy iti kari a para iti daytoy a biag ken iti umay a biag.
For, the bodily training, for little, is profitable, whereas, godliness, for all things is profitable, —having, promise, of life—the present and the coming.
9 Daytoy a mensahe ket mapagtalkan ken maikari unay nga awaten.
Faithful, the saying! and, of all acceptance, worthy;
10 Ta daytoy ti gapuna nga ikarkarigatan ken igagaedmi unay ti agtrabaho. Ta adda talekmi iti sibibiag a Dios, nga isu ti Mangisalakan kadagiti amin a tattao, ngem nangnangruna kadagiti namati.
For, to this end, are we toiling and contending, because we have set our hope on a Living God, Who is Saviour of all men—specially, of such as believe.
11 Iwaragawag ken isurom dagitoy a banbanag.
Be giving these things in charge, and be teaching: —
12 Saanmo nga ipalubos nga adda manglais kenka iti kina-agtutubom. Ngem ketdi, agbalinka a pagwadan kadagiti mamati, iti sao, iti aramid, iti ayat, iti kinapudno ken iti kinadalus.
Let, no one, despise, thy youth, but, an ensample, become thou of the faithful, —in discourse, in behaviour, in love, in faith, in chastity.
13 Agingga nga umayak, asikasuem ti pannakaibasa, ti panangbagbaga, ken ti panangisuro.
While I am coming, be giving heed—to the reading, to the exhorting, to the teaching:
14 Saanmo a baybay-an ti sagut nga adda kenka, a naited kenka babaen iti padto, a nabuyogan iti panangipatay kadagiti ima dagiti panglakayen.
Be not careless of the gift of favour, that is in thee, which was given thee through means of prophesying, along with a laying on of the hands of the eldership.
15 Salimetmetam dagitoy a banbanag. Makikaaddaka kadakuada, tapno maiparang kadagiti amin a tattao ti panagdur-asmo.
These things, be thy care, in these things, be thou, that, thine advancement, may be, manifest, unto all:
16 Alwadam ti panagtignaymo ken ti salwadam ti sursuro. Agtuloyka kadagitoy a banbanag. Ta babaen iti panangaramidmo iti kasta, isalakanmonto ti bagim ken dagiti dumngeg kenka.
Be giving heed to thyself, and to thy teaching, —abide still in them; for, this doing, both, thyself, shalt thou save, and them that hearken to thee.
