< 1 Timoteo 2 >
1 Ngarud umuna iti amin, dawatek a dagiti kiddaw, dagiti kararag, dagiti pannangibabaet ken dagiti panagyaman ket maaramid koma para iti amin a tao,
I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men,
2 para kadagiti ari ken kadagiti amin nga adda iti turay, tapno agbiagtayo koma a natalna ken naulimek iti amin a kinanadiosan ken kinatakneng.
for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence.
3 Nasayaat ken makaay-ayo daytoy iti sangoanan ti Dios a mangisalakantayo.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
4 Tarigagayna a ti amin a tao ket maisalakan ken maammoanda ti kinapudno.
who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth.
5 Ta adda maymaysa a Dios, ken adda maymaysa a mangibabaet para iti Dios ken ti tao, isu ti tao a ni Cristo Jesus.
For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Messiah Yeshua,
6 Intedna ti bagina kas subbot para kadagiti amin, a kas ti pammaneknek iti umno a tiempo.
who gave himself as a ransom for all, the testimony at the proper time,
7 Gapu iti daytoy a panggep, siak a mismo, ket nagbalin a mangaskasaba ken apostol. Ibagbagak ti kinapudno. Saanak nga agul-ulbod. Maysa-ak a manursuro kadagiti Hentil iti pammati ken kinapudno.
to which I was appointed a proclaimer and an emissary—I am telling the truth in Messiah, not lying—a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
8 Ngarud, kayatko a dagiti lallaki iti tunggal disso ket agkararag ken agingato koma kadagiti nasantoan nga ima nga awanan panagpungtot ken panagdua-dua.
I desire therefore that the men in every place pray, lifting up holy hands without anger and doubting.
9 Kasta met, kayatko a dagiti babbai ket kawesanda dagiti bagbagida iti umno a kawes, nga addaan kinaemma ken panagteppel. Nasken a saan a nasallapid ti buokda, wenno maaddaan iti balitok, wenno dagiti perlas, wenno nangina a kawes.
In the same way, that women also adorn themselves in decent clothing, with modesty and propriety, not with braided hair, gold, pearls, or expensive clothing,
10 Kayatko nga agkawesda iti maiyannatup kadagiti babbai a mangipakpakita iti kinanadiosan babaen iti nasayaat nga aramid.
but with good works, which is appropriate for women professing godliness.
11 Ti babai ket masapul nga agsursuro a naulimek ken iti amin a panagtulnog.
Let a woman learn in quietness with full submission.
12 Saanko a palubosan a mangisuro ti babai wenno iturayanna ti lalaki, ngem ketdi agbiag iti kinaulimek.
But I don’t permit a woman to teach, nor to exercise authority over a man, but to be in quietness.
13 Ta immun-una a naparsua ni Adan, kalpasan ket ni Eva.
For Adam was formed first, then Havah.
14 Ken saan a naallilaw ni Adan, ngem ti babai ket naan-anay a naallilaw iti panagbasol.
Adam wasn’t deceived, but the woman, being deceived, has fallen into disobedience;
15 Nupay kasta, maisalakanto isuna babaen iti panangipasngayna kadagiti annak, no agtultuloyda iti pammati, iti ayat ken iti pannakadalus nga addaan iti nanakman a panagpanpanunot.
but she will be saved through her childbearing, if they continue in faith, love, and holiness with sobriety.
