< I Samuel 25 >

1 Ita, natayen ni Samuel. Naguummong amin nga Israelita ket nagladingitda para kenkuana, ket intabonda isuna iti balayna idiay Rama. Kalpasanna, nagrubwat ni David ket simmalog a nagturong iti let-ang ti Paran.
Then Samuel dyed, and all Israel assembled, and mourned for him, and buried him in his owne house at Ramah. And Dauid arose and went downe to the wildernes of Paran.
2 Adda maysa a lalaki idiay Maon, a dagiti sanikuana ket adda idiay Carmel. Nakabakbaknang daytoy a lalaki. Addaan isuna iti tallo ribu a karnero ken sangaribu a kalding. Pukpukisanna dagiti karnerona idiay Carmel.
Now in Maon was a man, who had his possessio in Carmel, and the man was exceeding mightie and had three thousand sheepe, and a thousand goates: and he was shering his sheepe in Carmel.
3 Nabal ti nagan ti lalaki, ket Abigail ti nagan ti asawana. Nalaing ken napintas daytoy a babai. Ngem ti lalaki ket naranggas ken dakes ti pannakilangenna. Kaputotan isuna ni Caleb.
The name also of the man was Nabal, and the name of his wife Abigail, and she was a woman of singular wisdome, and beautifull, but the man was churlish, and euil conditioned, and was of the familie of Caleb.
4 Nadamag ni David idiay let-ang a pukpukisan ni Nabal dagiti karnerona.
And Dauid heard in the wildernesse, that Nabal did shere his sheepe.
5 Isu a nangibaon ni David iti sangapulo nga agtutubo a lallaki. Kinuna ni David kadagiti agtutubo a lallaki, “Sumang-atkayo idiay Carmel, mapankayo kenni Nabal, ket kablaawanyo isuna iti naganko.
Therefore Dauid sent tenne yong men, and Dauid said vnto the yong men, Go vp to Carmel, and go to Nabal, and aske him in my name how he doeth.
6 Ibagayonto kenkuana 'Agbiagka iti kinarang-ay, kappia koma ti adda kenka ken iti balaymo, ken adda koma kappia iti amin nga adda kenka.
And thus shall ye say for salutation, Both thou, and thine house, and all that thou hast, be in peace, wealth and prosperitie.
7 Nadamagko nga adda dagiti para-pukis kadagiti karnerom. Kaduami dagiti para-pastormo, ket saanmi ida a dinangran, ken iti las-ud ti kaaddada ditoy Carmel, awan ti napukaw kadakuada.
Behold, I haue heard, that thou hast sherers: now thy shepherds were with vs, and we did the no hurt, neyther did they misse any thing all the while they were in Carmel.
8 Damagem dagiti agtutubo a tattaom, ket ibagada kenka. Ita, sapay koma ta maay-ayoka kadagiti agtutubo a tattaok, ta umaykaminto iti aldaw ti panagrambak. Pangngaasim ta mangtedka iti aniaman nga adda kenka kadagiti adipenmo ken iti anakmo a ni David.”'
Aske thy seruants and they wil shew thee. Wherefore let these yong men finde fauour in thine eyes: (for we come in a good season) giue, I pray thee, whatsoeuer commeth to thine hand vnto thy seruants, and to thy sonne Dauid.
9 Idi simmangpet dagiti agtutubo a tattao ni David, imbagada amin daytoy kenni Nabal iti nagan ni David ket nagurayda.
And when Dauids yong men came, they tolde Nabal all those wordes in the name of Dauid, and helde their peace.
10 Simmungbat ni Nabal kadagiti adipen ni David, “Siasino koma ni David? Ket siasino koma ti anak ni Jesse? Adu dagiti adipen kadagitoy nga al-aldaw nga itartarayanda ti apoda.
Then Nabal answered Dauids seruantes, and sayd, Who is Dauid? and who is the sonne of Ishai? there be many seruantes nowe a dayes, that breake away euery man from his master.
11 Rumbeng kadi nga alaek ti tinapayko ken ti danumko ken ti karne ti pinartik nga agpaay koma kadagiti para-pukis a tattaok, ket itedko dagitoy kadagiti immay a lallaki a saanko nga ammo no sadino ti naggapuanda?”
Shall I then take my bread, and my water, and my flesh that I haue killed for my sherers, and giue it vnto men, whom I know not whence they be?
12 Isu a nagsubli dagiti agtutubo a tattao ni David, ket imbagada kenkuana amin a naibaga.
So Dauids seruants turned their way, and went againe, and came, and tolde him all those things.
13 Kinuna ni David kadagiti tattaona, “Ibarekesyo ti kampilanyo.” Ket imbarikes ti tunggal maysa ti kampilanna. Imbarikes met ni David ti kampilanna. Agarup uppat a gasut a lallaki ti simmurot kenni David, ket nagtalinaed ti dua gasut a nangbantay kadagiti gargaretda.
And Dauid said vnto his men, Girde euery man his sword about him. And they girded euery man his sworde: Dauid also girded his sworde. And about foure hundreth men went vp after Dauid, and two hundreth abode by the cariage.
14 Ngem maysa kadagiti agtutubo a lalaki ti nangibaga kenni Abigail nga asawa ni Nabal; kinunana, “Nangibaon ni David kadagiti mensaherona manipud iti let-ang a mangkablaaw iti amomi, ngem pinabainanna ida.
Nowe one of the seruantes tolde Abigail Nabals wife, saying, Beholde, Dauid sent messengers out of the wildernesse to salute our master, and he rayled on them.
15 Idinto ta nagimbag dagiti lallaki kadakami. Saandakami a dinangran ken awan ti aniaman a napukaw bayat a sumursurotkami kadakuada idi addakami kadagiti away.
Notwithstanding the men were very good vnto vs, and we had no displeasure, neither missed we any thing as long as we were conuersant with them, when we were in the fieldes.
16 Arigna nga isuda ti nagbalin a padermi iti aldaw ken rabii, kadagiti gundaway a kaduami ida a mangay-aywan kadagiti karnero.
They were as a wall vnto vs both by night and by day, all the while we were with them keeping sheepe.
17 Isu nga utobem daytoy ket kitaem no ania ti maaramidmo, ta dakes ti naikeddeng para iti apomi, ken iti sangkabalayanna. Awan ti serserbina a tao ta awan ti siasinoman a makabael nga agkalintegan kenkuana.”
Nowe therefore take heede, and see what thou shalt doe: for euill will surely come vpon our master, and vpon all his familie: for he is so wicked that a man can not speake to him.
18 Nagdardaras ngarud ni Abigail ket nangala iti dua gasut a tinapay, dua a pagkargaan a lalat a naglaon iti arak, lima a napartin a karnero, lima a sukat nga iniruban a trigo, sangagasut a raay ti pasas, ken dua gasut a bibingka a naaramid iti igos, ket inkargana dagitoy kadagiti asno.
Then Abigail made haste, and tooke two hundreth cakes, and two bottels of wine, and fiue sheepe ready dressed, and fiue measures of parched corne, and an hundreth frailes of raisins, and two hundreth of figs, and laded them on asses.
19 Kinunana kadagiti agtutubo a tattaona, “Umunakayon, ket sumarunoak kadakayo.” Ngem saanna nga imbaga daytoy iti asawana a ni Nabal.
Then she said vnto her seruants, Go ye before me: beholde, I will come after you: yet she tolde not her husband Nabal.
20 Iti isasakayna iti asnona a sumalog iti nalinged a paset ti bantay, simmalog ni David ken dagiti tattaona nga agturong iti ayanna, ket nasabatna ida.
And as shee rode on her asse, shee came downe by a secret place of the mountaine, and beholde, Dauid and his men came downe against her, and she met them.
21 Ita, kinuna ni David, “Awan serserbi ti panangbanbantaymi iti amin nga adda iti daytoy a tao idiay let-ang, tapno awan ti mapukaw kadagiti amin a kukuana, ket ita dakes ti isupapakna iti kinaimbagko,
And Dauid said, In deede I haue kept all in vaine that this fellow had in the wildernesse, so that nothing was missed of all that pertained vnto him: for he hath requited me euill for good.
22 Sapay koma ta nalablabes pay aramiden ti Dios kaniak, a ni David, no inton bigat ket mangibatiak iti uray maysa a lalaki iti pamiliana.”
So and more also doe God vnto the enemies of Dauid: for surely I will not leaue of all that he hath, by the dawning of the day, any that pisseth against the wall.
23 Idi nakita ni Abigail ni David, nagdardaras isuna a dimsaag iti asnona ket nagrukob iti sangngoanan ni David.
And when Abigail sawe Dauid, she hasted and lighted off her asse, and fell before Dauid on her face, and bowed her selfe to the ground,
24 Nagrukob isuna iti sakaanan ni David ket kinunana, “Apok, siak laengen koma ti pabasolem. Pangngaasim ta palubosam koma nga agsao kenka ti adipenmo, ken denggem dagiti sasao ti adipenmo.
And fel at his feete, and sayd, Oh, my lord, I haue committed the iniquitie, and I pray thee, let thine handmayde speake to thee, and heare thou the wordes of thine handmayde.
25 Saan koma nga ikankano ti apok daytoy awan serserbina a tao a ni Nabal, ta kas iti naganna, kasta met isuna. Nabal ti naganna, ken kinamaag ti adda kenkuana. Ngem siak nga adipenmo, saanko a nakita dagiti agtutubo a tattao ti apok, nga imbaonmo.
Let not my lorde, I pray thee, regard this wicked man Nabal: for as his name is, so is he: Nabal is his name, and follie is with him: but I thine handmayde sawe not the yong men of my lord whom thou sentest.
26 Isu nga ita, o apok, iti nagan ni Yahweh nga adda iti agnanayon, ken iti naganmo, agsipud ta linappedannaka ni Yahweh iti panangpasayasaymo iti dara, ken iti panagibalesmo babaen kadagiti imam, ita, sapay koma ta dagiti kabusormo, ken dagidiay aggandat nga agaramid iti kinadakes iti apok, ket maitulad kenni Nabal.
Now therefore my lord, as the Lord liueth, and as thy soule liueth (the Lord, I say, that hath withholden thee from comming to shedde blood, and that thine hand should not saue thee) so now thine enemies shall be as Nabal, and they that intend to doe my lord euill.
27 Ket ita, alaem daytoy a sagut nga inyeg ti adipenmo nga agpaay iti apok, maitedkoma daytoy kadagiti agtutubo a lallaki a sumursurot iti apok.
And now, this blessing which thine handmaid hath brought vnto my lorde, let it be giuen vnto the yong men, that follow my lord.
28 Pangngaasim ta pakawanem ti nagbasolan ti adipenmo, ta awan duadua a patalgedento ni Yahweh ti apok a kas iti natalged a balay, gapu ta makirangranget ti apok kadagiti gubat ni Yahweh; ket awan ti makita a dakes kenka kabayatan ti panagbiagmo.
I pray thee, forgiue the trespasse of thine handmaide: for the Lord will make my lorde a sure house, because my lord fighteth the battels of the Lord, and none euill hath bene found in thee in all thy life.
29 Ket uray adda dagiti tattao a mangbusor ken manganup kenka a mangpukaw iti biagmo, pagtalinaedennakanto latta a sibibiag ni Yahweh a Diosmo; ket arigna ipallatibongna dagiti kabusormo, a kas iti bato a naibala iti pallatibong.
Yet a man hath risen vp to persecute thee, and to seeke thy soule, but the soule of my lorde shall be bounde in the bundel of life with the Lord thy God: and the soule of thine enemies shall God cast out, as out of the middle of a sling.
30 Ket mapasamakto daytoy, inton maaramid ni Yahweh iti apok amin a naimbag a banag nga inkarina kenka, ken inton pagbalinennaka a pangulo iti Israel,
And when the Lord shall haue done to my lord al the good that he hath promised thee, and shall haue made thee ruler ouer Israel,
31 daytoy ket saanmonto a pagladingitan, wenno saanto a pagsakitan ti nakem ti apok, ta saanmo a pinagsayasay ti dara nga awan gapgapuna, ket saanka a nagibales. Ket inton ited ni Yahweh ti balligi iti apok, lagipem ti adipenmo.”
Then shall it be no griefe vnto thee, nor offence of minde vnto my lord, that he hath not shed blood causelesse, nor that my lorde hath not preserued him selfe: and when the Lord shall haue dealt well with my lorde, remember thine handmaide.
32 Kinuna ni David kenni Abigail, “Madaydayaw koma ni Yahweh a Dios ti Israel, a nangibaon kenka a sumabat kaniak ita nga aldaw.
Then Dauid said to Abigail, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, which sent thee this day to meete me.
33 Ket mabendisionan ti kinasiribmo, ken mabendisionanka koma, gapu ta inlisinak ita iti basol manipud iti panagsayasay ti dara, ken iti panagibalesko babaen iti imak.
And blessed be thy counsel, and blessed be thou, which hast kept me this day from comming to shed blood, and that mine hand hath not saued me.
34 Ta ti kinapudnona, iti nagan ni Yahweh nga adda iti agnanayon, a Dios ti Israel, isuna a nanglapped kaniak a mangdangran kenka, no saanka a nagdardaras a nangsabat kaniak, awan duadua nga awan koman ti nabati kenni Nabal nga uray maysa nga ubing a lalaki a nabigatan.”
For in deede, as the Lord God of Israel liueth, who hath kept me backe from hurting thee, except thou haddest hasted and met mee, surely there had not bene left vnto Nabal by the dawning of the day, any that pisseth against the wall.
35 Inawat ngarud ni David manipud iti ima ni Abigail dagiti inyegna para kenkuana; kinunana kenkuana, “Agawidkan iti balayyo nga addaan kappia; kitaem, dinengngegko ti timekmo ket inawatka.”
Then Dauid receiued of her hande that which she had brought him, and said to her, Goe vp in peace to thine house: beholde, I haue heard thy voyce, and haue graunted thy petition.
36 Nagsubli ni Abigail kenni Nabal; ket adda parambak nga inangayna iti balayna, kas iti parambak ti maysa nga ari; ket kasta unay ti ragsak ti puso ni Nabal, ta kasta unay ti bartekna. Isu nga awan a pulos ti imbagbaga ni Abigail kenkuana agingga a limmawagen iti kabigatanna.
So Abigail came to Nabal, and behold, he made a feast in his house, like the feast of a King, and Nabals heart was merie within him, for he was very drunken: wherefore shee tolde him nothing, neither lesse nor more, vntil the morning arose.
37 Ket napasamak nga iti kabigatanna, idi nausawanen ni Nabal, imbaga ti asawana kenkuana dagitoy a banbanag; naatake iti puso, ket nagbalin isuna a kasla bato.
Then in the morning when the wine was gone out of Nabal, his wife tolde him those wordes, and his heart died within him, and he was like a stone.
38 Ket napasamak a kalpasan ti sangapulo nga aldaw, dinusa ni Yahweh ni Nabal isu a natay.
And about ten dayes after, the Lord smote Nabal, that he dyed.
39 Idi nadamag ni David a natayen ni Nabal, kinunana, “Madaydayaw ni Yahweh, a nangibales iti pannakaibabainko manipud iti ima ni Nabal, ket inlisina ti adipenna iti dakes. Ket ti dakes nga aramid ni Nabal ket insublina kenkuana.” Kalpasanna, nangibaon ni David kadagiti adipen ket imbagada kenni Abigail nga alaenda isuna tapno agbalin nga asawana.
Now when Dauid heard, that Nabal was dead, he said, Blessed be the Lord that hath iudged the cause of my rebuke of ye hand of Nabal, and hath kept his seruant from euil: for the Lord hath recompensed the wickednesse of Nabal vpon his owne head. Also Dauid sent to commune with Abigail to take her to his wife.
40 Idi dimteng dagiti adipen ni David kenni Abigail idiay Carmel, nagsaoda kenkuana ket kinunada, “Imbaonnakami ni David tapno alaendaka nga ipan kenkuana kas asawana.”
And whe the seruants of Dauid were come to Abigail to Carmel, they spake vnto her, saying, Dauid sent vs to thee, to take thee to his wife.
41 Timmakder isuna, nagrukob iti daga, ket kinunana, “Toy adipenyo a babai ket adipen a rumbeng laeng a mangbuggo iti saka dagiti adipen ti apok.”
And she arose, and bowed her selfe on her face to the earth, and said, Behold, let thine handmayde be a seruant to wash the feete of the seruants of my lord.
42 Timmakder ni Abigail ket nagdardaras a simmakay iti asnona a kaduana dagiti lima a babbai nga adipenna a simmurot kenkuana; sinurotna dagiti mensahero ni David ket nagbalin isuna nga asawa ni David.
And Abigail hasted, and arose, and rode vpon an asse, and her fiue maides folowed her, and she went after the messengers of Dauid, and was his wife.
43 Inasawa met ni David ni Ahinoam a taga-Jezreel; duada a nagbalin nga asawana.
Dauid also tooke Ahinoam of Izreel, and they were both his wiues.
44 Ita inyawat ni Saul ti babai nga anakna a ni Mical a sigud nga asawa ni David, kenni Palti nga anak ni Lais a taga-Galim.
Now Saul had giuen Michal his daughter Dauids wife to Phalti the sonne of Laish, which was of Gallim.
