< 1 Pedro 5 >

1 Bagbagaak dagiti panglakayenyo, Siak, maysa a panglakayen a padayo ken maysa a saksi iti panagsagsagaba ni Cristo, ken maysa met a makipagpaset iti dayag a maiparangarangto.
As for the older ones among you, who are elders in the church, I, their fellow elder, and a witness to the sufferings of the Christ, who will also share in the glory that is to be revealed –
2 Bagbagaankayo ngarud a panglakayen, aywananyo dagiti arban ti Dios nga adda kadakayo. Kitaenyo ida, saan a gapu ta kasapulan nga aramidenyo, ngem gapu ta isu ti tarigagayyo mayannurot iti pagayatan ti Dios. Kitaenyo ida, saan a para iti kinaagum iti kuarta, ngem sipapalubos.
I beg you to be true shepherds of the flock of God among you, not because you are compelled, but of your own free will; not from a base love of gain, but with a ready spirit;
3 Saankayo nga agtignay a kas apo kadagiti tattao nga adda iti panangaywanyo, ngem agbalinkayo koma a pagulidanan kadagiti arban.
not as lords of your charges, but as examples to your flock.
4 Inton maiparangarang ti Katan-okan a Pastor, awatenyonto iti saan nga agkupkupas a nadayag a korona.
Then, when the chief shepherd appears, you will win the crown of glory that never fades.
5 Kasta met, dakayo nga agtutubo a lallaki, agpaituraykayo kadagiti natataengan ngem kadakayo. Aminkayo, kawesanyo dagiti bagbagiyo iti kinapakumbaba ken agserbikayo iti tunggal maysa, ta busoren ti Dios ti natangsit, ngem paraburanna dagiti napakumbaba.
Again, you younger ones should show deference to the older. And all of you should put on the badge of humility in mutual service, for ‘God is opposed to the proud, but gives his help to the humble.’
6 Ipakumbabayo ngarud dagiti bagbagiyo iti mannakabalin nga ima ti Dios tapno itag-aynakayonto inton dumteng iti maitutop a tiempo.
Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, so that he may exalt you in his good time,
7 Ikamangyo amin a pakariribukanyo kenkuana, gapu ta maseknan isuna kadakayo.
laying all your anxieties on him, for he makes you his care.
8 Agparbengkayo, agsiputkayo. Ti kalabanyo, ti diablo, ket kasla agngerngernger a leon a magmagna iti aglawlaw, nga agsapsapul iti alun-onenna.
Exercise self-control, be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, like a roaring lion, is prowling about, eager to devour you.
9 Agtakderkayo a maibusor kenkuana. Papigsaenyo ti pammatiyo. Ammoyo nga uray dagiti kakabsatyo nga adda ditoy lubong ket agib-ibtur iti isu met laeng a panagsagsagaba.
Stand firm against him, strong in your faith; knowing, as you do, that the sufferings which you are undergoing are being endured to the full by the Lord’s followers throughout the world.
10 Kalpasan nga agsagabakayo iti apagbiit, ti Dios iti amin a parabur, a nangayab kadakayo iti agnanayon a gloriana kenni Cristo, ket palaingennakayonto, patibkerennakayonto, ken papigsaennakayonto. (aiōnios g166)
God, from whom all help comes, and who called you, by your union with Christ, into his eternal glory, will, when you have suffered for a little while, himself perfect, establish, strengthen you. (aiōnios g166)
11 Maited koma kenkuana ti panagturay iti agnanayon ken awan patinggana. Amen. (aiōn g165)
To him be ascribed dominion for ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
12 Ibilangko ni Silvano a kas napudno a kabsat, ken nagsuratak kadakayo iti ababa babaen kenkuana. Bagbagaankayo ken paneknekak kadakayo a ti insuratko ket isu ti pudno a parabur ti Dios. Agtakderkayo iti daytoy.
I have been writing to you briefly by the hand of Silas, our true-hearted friend (for so I regard him), to encourage you, and to bear my testimony that in what I have written is to be found the true love of God. On that take your stand.
13 Isuna nga adda idiay Babilonia, a napili a kas kadakayo, kablaawandakayo, ken ni Marcos, nga anakko, kablaawannakayo.
Your sister church in ‘Babylon’ sends you greeting, and so does Mark, who is as a son to me.
14 Agkikinnablaawkayo a buyogen iti agek ni ayat. Kapia koma kadakayo amin nga adda ken Cristo.
Greet one another with the kiss of love. May God give his peace to you all in your union with Christ.
