< 1 Corinto 8 >
1 Ita, maipanggep iti taraon a naidaton kadagiti didiosen: Ammotayo nga “adda amin pannakaammotayo.” Agpannakkel ti pannakaammo, ngem dumakdakkel ti ayat.
Now concerning things sacrificed to idols: We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.
2 No ipagarup ti siasinoman nga ammona ti maysa a banag, dayta a tao ket saanna pay nga ammo a kas ti rumbeng nga ammona.
But if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he doesn’t yet know as he ought to know.
3 Ngem no ay-ayaten ti siasinoman ti Dios, dayta a tao ket am-ammona.
But anyone who loves God is known by him.
4 Isu a maipanggep iti panangan iti naidaton a makan kadagiti didiosen: Ammotayo a “ti didiosen iti daytoy a lubong ket awan serserbina” ken “awan sabali a Dios no di ket ti maymaysa a Dios.”
Therefore concerning the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that no idol is anything in the world, and that there is no other God but one.
5 Ta adu dagiti maaw-awagan a dios idiay langit wenno ditoy daga, a kas ti kinaadda dagiti adu a “dios ken ap-appo.”
For though there are things that are called “gods”, whether in the heavens or on earth—as there are many “gods” and many “lords”—
6 “Ngem para kadatayo, adda laeng maymaysa a Dios Ama, nagtaud kenkuana amin a banbanag, ken agbibiagtayo gapu kenkuana, ken maymaysa nga Apo a ni Jesu-Cristo, a babaen kenkuana ket adda amin a banbanag, ken babaen kenkuana nga addatayo.”
yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for him; and one Lord, Yeshua the Messiah, through whom are all things, and we live through him.
7 Nupay kasta, daytoy a pannakaammo ket awan iti tunggal maysa. Ngem ketdi, nagrukbab dagiti dadduma idi iti didiosen, ken kankanenda daytoy a taraon a kasla maysa a banag a naidaton iti didiosen. Iti kasta narugitan dagiti konsensiada gapu ta nakapoy daytoy.
However, that knowledge isn’t in all men. But some, with consciousness of an idol until now, eat as of a thing sacrificed to an idol, and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.
8 Ngem ti taraon ket saannatayo nga iyasideg iti Dios. Saantayo a dakes no saantayo a mangan wenno nasayaat no kanentayo daytoy.
But food will not commend us to God. For neither, if we don’t eat are we the worse, nor if we eat are we the better.
9 Ngem salwadam a ti wayawayam ket saan nga agbalin a pakaitibkolan ti maysa a nakapsut ti pammatina.
But be careful that by no means does this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to the weak.
10 Ta kaspangarigan adda maysa a tao a makakita kenka, nga addaaan iti pannakaammo, a mangmangan iti taraon idiay templo ti didiosen. Saan kadi a ti nakapuy a konsensiana ket mapatured a mangan iti naidaton iti didiosen?
For if a man sees you who have knowledge sitting in an idol’s temple, won’t his conscience, if he is weak, be emboldened to eat things sacrificed to idols?
11 Isu a gapu iti pannakaawatyo maipanggep iti pudno a kababalin dagiti didiosen, ti nakapkapsut a kabsat a lalaki wenno babai, a nakatayan ni Cristo, ket nadadael.
And through your knowledge, he who is weak perishes, the brother for whose sake Messiah died.
12 Ngarud, no makabasolka iti kakabsatmo a lallaki ken babbai ken nasugatam ti nakapuy a konsensiada, makabasolka kenni Cristo.
Thus, sinning against the brothers, and wounding their conscience when it is weak, you sin against Messiah.
13 Ngarud, no ti taraon ti pakaitibkolan ti kabsatko a lalaki wenno babai, saanakton pulos a mangan manen ti karne, tapno saan a siak ti pakaigapuan a matinnag ti kabsatko a lalaki wenno babai. (aiōn )
Therefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I will eat no meat forever more, that I don’t cause my brother to stumble. (aiōn )
