1 Inummong ni David dagiti amin nga opisial ti Israel idiay Jerusalem: dagiti opisial dagiti tribu, dagiti opisial dagiti bunggoy a nagserbi iti ari iti naibatang a trabahoda, dagiti pangulo ti rinibribu ken ginasgasut, dagiti mangimatmaton iti amin a sanikua ti ari ken dagiti putotna a lallaki, ken dagiti opisial ken makirangranget a lallaki, agraman dagiti kalaingan kadakuada.
David summoned all the leaders of Israel to come to Jerusalem. He summoned the leaders of the tribes, the leaders/commanders of the groups that worked for the king, the commanders of 100 soldiers, the commanders of 1,000 soldiers, those who were in charge of the property and livestock that belonged to the king and his sons, all the palace officials, and his mighty soldiers and bravest warriors.
2 Ket timmakder ni David nga ari ket kinunana, “Dumngegkayo kaniak, kakabsatko ken tattaok. Pinanggepko idi nga agipatakder iti templo para iti lakasa ti tulag ni Yahweh; ti pagbaddekan ti Diostayo, ken insaganak ti pannakaipatakder daytoy.
David stood up and said, “My fellow Israelis, listen to me. I wanted [IDM] to build a temple to be a place where we would put the Sacred Chest of Yahweh, where it would stay permanently. And I made plans to build it.
3 Ngem kinuna ti Dios kaniak, ‘Saanka a mangipatakder iti templo para iti naganko, gapu ta maysaka a mannakigubat a tao ken nangpasayasayka iti dara.'
But God said to me, ‘You are not the one who will [arrange to] build a temple for me [MTY], because you are a warrior and you have killed many people [MTY] [in battles].’
4 Nupay kasta, pinilinak ni Yahweh, a Dios ti Israel manipud kadagiti amin a pamilia ti amak tapno agbalin nga ari ti Israel iti agnanayon. Pinilina ti tribu ti Juda a kas mangidaulo. Iti tribu ti Juda, ken iti sangkabbalayan ti amak, manipud kadagiti amin a putot a lallaki ti amak, pinilinak nga agbalin nga ari iti entero nga Israel.
“But Yahweh, the God to whom we Israelis belong, had chosen me and my descendants to be the kings of Israel forever. [First] he chose the tribe of Judah, and from the people [MTY] of Judah he chose my family, and from my father’s sons he chose me to be the king over all of Israel.
5 Manipud kadagiti adu a putotko a lallaki nga inted kaniak ni Yahweh, pinilina ni Solomon, a putotko a lalaki, nga agtugaw iti trono ti pagarian ni Yahweh iti entero nga Israel.
Yahweh has given me many sons, but from them he chose my son Solomon to be the next king to rule [MTY] the kingdom of Israel.
6 Kinunana kaniak, 'Ipatakderto ni Solomon a putotmo a lalaki ti balayko ken dagiti paraangak, ta pinilik isuna nga agbalin nga anakko, ken agbalinakto nga amana.
He said to me, ‘Solomon your son is the one who will [arrange to] build my temple and the courtyards around it, because I have chosen him to be [like] my son and I will be [like] [MET] his father.
7 Patibkerekto ti pagarianna iti agnanayon, no agtalinaed isuna a matalek nga agtulnog kadagiti linteg ken bilinko, a kas kenka iti daytoy nga aldaw.'
I will enable his kingdom to endure forever if he continues to obey my laws and commands, like you are doing now.’
8 Ket ita, iti imatang ti amin nga Israel, daytoy a taripnong para kenni Yahweh, ken iti presensia ti Diostayo, dakayo amin ket masapul a salimetmetan ken aramidenyo amin dagiti bilin ni Yahweh a Diosyo. Aramidenyo daytoy tapno matagikuayo daytoy nasayaat a daga ken ibatiyo daytoy a kas maysa a tawid kadagiti annakyo a sumaruno kadakayo iti agnanayon.
“So now, while all [you people of] Israel, all of you who belong to Yahweh, are watching, and while God is listening, I command you [leaders] to carefully obey all the commands of Yahweh our God, in order that you may continue to possess this good land and enable your descendants to inherit it forever.
9 No maipapan kenka, Solomon nga anakko, agtulnogka iti Dios ti amam, ken agserbika kenkuana iti amin a pusom ken iti natulnog nga espiritum. Aramidem daytoy gapu ta suksukimaten ni Yahweh dagiti amin a puso ken maawatanna ti panggep ti panunot ti tunggal maysa. No birukem isuna, masarakamto, ngem no tallikudam isuna, laksidennaka iti agnanayon.
“And you, my son Solomon, must know God like I know him, and you must serve him faithfully and because you want to. You must do that because he knows what everyone is thinking and he understands the reasons that people do what they do. If you seek [to know] him, he will heed your prayers. But if you abandon/reject him, he will abandon/reject you forever.
10 Amirisem a pinilinaka ni Yahweh a mangipatakder iti daytoy a templo a kas santuariona. Pumigsaka ket aramidem daytoy.”
Yahweh has chosen you to [arrange to] build a temple for him. So think about [what I have said], and be strong and do what [he is wanting you to do].”
11 Ket inted ni David kenni Solomon a putotna a lalaki dagiti plano para iti portiko ti templo, dagiti pasdek ti templo, dagiti pangiduldulinan, dagiti akin-ngato ken akin-uneg a siled, ken ti siled nga ayan ti lakasa.
Then David gave to his son Solomon [the scroll on which were written] the plans for the main rooms of the temple, its porch, its storerooms, all the other upper and lower rooms, and the Very Holy Place where God would forgive the sins that people had committed.
12 Intedna kenkuana dagiti plano nga inaramidna para kadagiti paraangan ti balay ni Yahweh, dagiti amin a nakapalawlaw a siled, dagiti pangidulinan iti balay ti Dios, ken dagiti pangidulinan kadagiti banbanag a kukua ni Yahweh.
David wrote for him the plans that God’s Spirit had put into his mind for building the courtyards and all the rooms that surrounded the temple, including the room where the money and other valuable things that were dedicated to God would be kept.
13 Intedna kenkuana dagiti paglintegan para kadagiti bunggoy dagiti papadi ken dagiti Levita, para iti panangisaad kadagiti pagrebbengan iti panagserbi iti balay ni Yahweh ken para kadagiti amin nga alikamen iti panagserbi iti balay ni Yahweh.
He gave Solomon instructions for the groups of priests and other descendants of Levi, about all the work that they must do to serve in Yahweh’s temple, and about taking care of all the things that would be used in the work at the temple.
14 Intedna kenkuana ti timbang dagiti amin a balitok a pagkargaan kadagiti amin a kita ti panagserbi ken amin a pirak a pagkargaan kadagiti amin nga alikamen para iti amin a kita ti panagserbi.
He wrote down how much gold and how much silver should be used to make all the items in the temple:
15 Nabinsa-binsa dagitoy a naited babaen iti timbangna, agraman ti pannakabinsa-binsa para iti balitok a maaramid a kandelero ken pagsilawan, ti pannakabinsa-binsa babaen iti timbang para iti tunggal kandelero, pagsilawan, ken ti pirak a kandelero ken ti pannakabinsa-binsa para iti umno a panangaramat iti tunggal kandelero.
how much gold for making the gold lampstands and the lamps, how much silver to make the silver lamps and lampstands,
16 Intedna ti timbang ti balitok a maaramat para kadagiti lamisaan ti maidaton a tinapay, para iti tunggal lamisaan, ken ti timbang ti pirak a maaramat para iti pirak a lamisaan.
how much gold for making the table on which [the priests would put] the sacred bread, how much silver to use to make the other tables,
17 Intedna ti timbang ti puro a balitok a mausar para kadagiti pangadaw iti karne, palanggana, ken baso. Intedna ti umanay a timbang a maaramat para iti tunggal mallukong a balitok, ken ti timbang iti tunggal mallukong a pirak.
how much pure gold for the meat forks and the bowls and the cups, how much gold for each gold dish, how much silver for each silver dish,
18 Intedna ti timbang iti nadalus a balitok a maaramat para iti altar ti insenso, ken ti balitok a maaramat para iti disenio ti kerubin a nakaukrad dagiti payakda a nakakalub iti lakasa ti tulag ni Yahweh.
and how much pure gold to make the altar for [burning] incense. He also gave to Solomon his plans for making the golden statues of winged creatures that would be above the Sacred Chest of Yahweh, [like] a chariot for him.
19 Kinuna ni David, “Insuratko amin daytoy bayat nga idaldalannak ni Yahweh ken intedna kaniak tapno maawatak ti maipapan iti disenio.”
Then David said, “I have written [all these plans] while Yahweh was directing [MTY] me. He has enabled me to understand all the details of his plan [for the temple that is to be built].”
20 Kinuna ni David kenni Solomon a putotna a lalaki, “Pumigsa ken tumuredka. Aramidem ti trabaho. Saanka nga agbuteng wenno agdanag ta ni Yahweh a Dios, a Diosko ket adda kenka. Saannaka a panawan wenno baybay-an agingga a malpas ti trabaho a maipaay iti panagserbi iti templo ni Yahweh.
David also said to his son Solomon, “Be strong and courageous, and do this work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, because Yahweh our God will be with/helping you. He will not fail [to help] you or abandon you until you finish all the work of making his temple.
21 Kitaem, adtoy dagiti bunggoy dagiti padi ken Levita para iti amin a panagserbi iti templo ti Dios. Kadduaandakanto, dagiti amin a naayat nga agtrabaho ken nalaing a lallaki, tapno tulongandaka iti trabaho ken mangaramid iti panagserbi. Nakasagana dagiti opisial ken dagiti amin a tattao a sumurot kadagiti bilinmo.”
The groups of priests and [other] descendants of Levi are ready to begin their work at the temple, and every man who has a special skill will help you in all the work. And my officials and the other people will obey you, whatever you command them to do.”
