< Zefanaya 2 >
1 Chịkọtaanụ onwe unu, e, chịkọtaanụ onwe unu, unu ndị mba ihe ihere dịrị.
Gather yourselves together, yes, gather together, you nation that has no shame,
2 Tupu ụkpụrụ ahụ ewere ọnọdụ, a chịpụ ụbọchị ahụ dịka igbugbo ọka nke ikuku na-ebufu, tupu iwe ọkụ Onyenwe anyị abịakwasị gị, tupu ụbọchị ọnụma nke Onyenwe anyị abịakwasị gị.
before the appointed time when the day passes as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD comes on you, before the day of the LORD’s anger comes on you.
3 Chọọnụ Onyenwe anyị, unu ndị niile dị umeala nʼobi nọ nʼala ahụ, unu bụ ndị na-eme ihe o nyere nʼiwu. Gbasoonụ ezi omume, gbasoonụ ịdị umeala nʼobi, ma eleghị anya, a ga-echebe unu nʼụbọchị iwe Onyenwe anyị.
Seek the LORD, all you humble of the land, who have kept his ordinances. Seek righteousness. Seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden in the day of the LORD’s anger.
4 Nʼihi na o nwekwaghị ndị ga-ebi nʼobodo Gaza, obodo Ashkelọn ga-atọgbọrọ nʼefu. Nʼetiti ehihie ka a ga-ekpochapụ ndị niile bi nʼAshdọd; a ga-ehopukwa Ekrọn.
For Gaza will be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation. They will drive out Ashdod at noonday, and Ekron will be rooted up.
5 Ahụhụ dịrị unu ndị bi nʼakụkụ oke osimiri, unu bụ ndị Keret; okwu Onyenwe anyị na-emegide unu, Kenan, ala ndị Filistia. Ọ sịrị, “Aga m ala gị nʼiyi, ruo na ọ dịghị onye ga-afọdụ ndụ nʼime gị.”
Woe to the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! The LORD’s word is against you, Canaan, the land of the Philistines. I will destroy you until there is no inhabitant.
6 Ala nke dị nʼakụkụ oke osimiri ahụ, ga-aghọ ebe ahịhịa jupụtara nye ndị ọzụzụ atụrụ na ọgba igwe ewu na atụrụ.
The sea coast will be pastures, with cottages for shepherds and folds for flocks.
7 Ala nke dị nʼakụkụ oke osimiri ga-aghọ ala nke ndị ahụ fọdụrụ na Juda, ebe ha ga-achọtara anụ ụlọ ha ahịhịa. Ha ga-anọkwa nʼụlọ ndị Ashkelọn nke tọgbọrọ nʼefu, dinaa ala zuru ike nʼoge uhuruchi. Onyenwe anyị Chineke ha ga-elekọta ha, mekwaa ka ha nwetaghachi ihe nketa ha niile.
The coast will be for the remnant of the house of Judah. They will find pasture. In the houses of Ashkelon, they will lie down in the evening, for the LORD, their God, will visit them and restore them.
8 “Anụla m okwu ọjọọ niile, nke ndị Moab, na ịkwa emo niile nke ndị Amọn, nụkwa ịbasị mba ike ha megide ndị nke m na-anya isi na ha ga-ewere ala ha.
I have heard the reproach of Moab and the insults of the children of Ammon, with which they have reproached my people and magnified themselves against their border.
9 Nʼihi ya, dịka m na-adị ndụ,” otu a ka Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile, bụ Chineke Izrel, kwubiri ya, “aghaghị m ime ka Moab dịrị ka Sọdọm, mekwaa ka Amọn dịka Gọmọra. Ha ga-aghọ ala ebe ahịhịa na-adụ ogwu ogwu na-eru, ebe olulu nnu jupụtara, na ebe tọgbọrọ nʼefu ruo mgbe ebighị ebi. Ndị m, ndị fọdụrụ ga-akwakọrọ akụnụba ha, ndị fọdụrụ ndụ na mba m ga-eketa ala ha.”
Therefore, as I live, says the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, surely Moab will be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, a possession of nettles and salt pits, and a perpetual desolation. The remnant of my people will plunder them, and the survivors of my nation will inherit them.
10 Ihe ndị a bụ ụgwọ ọrụ ha ga-anata nʼihi ịnya isi ha, na nʼihi nkọcha na ịkwa emo ha megide ndị nke Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile.
This they will have for their pride, because they have reproached and magnified themselves against the people of the LORD of Armies.
11 Onye dị egwu ka Onyenwe anyị ga-abụ nʼebe ha nọ, mgbe ọ lara chi niile nke ụwa nʼiyi. Mba niile dị nʼebe dị anya ga-akpọ isiala nye ya, onye ọbụla nʼala nke aka ya nʼụwa niile.
The LORD will be awesome to them, for he will famish all the gods of the land. Men will worship him, everyone from his place, even all the shores of the nations.
12 “Unu ndị Itiopia, a ghaghị iji mma agha gbuo unu.”
You Cushites also, you will be killed by my sword.
13 Ọ ga-esetipụ aka ya megide ndị bi nʼakụkụ ugwu, laa Asịrịa nʼiyi. Ninive ga-aghọ ebe tọgbọrọ nʼefu, ọ ga-aghọkwa ala kpọrọ nkụ, dịka ọzara.
He will stretch out his hand against the north, destroy Assyria, and will make Nineveh a desolation, as dry as the wilderness.
14 Igwe anụmanụ dị iche iche na igwe ehi ga-amakpu nʼebe ahụ, ha na ihe e kere eke dị iche iche. Ikwighịkwighị nke ọzara na okwolo ga-anọ ọnọdụ abalị nʼisi ogidi ya niile ahụ. Ụda olu ha ka a ga-anụ site na mpio-ikuku, mkpọmkpọ aja ga-adị na mbata nke ọnụ ụzọ niile, ibo ọnụ ụzọ niile e ji osisi sida mee ga-egherekwa oghe.
Herds will lie down in the middle of her, all kinds of animals. Both the pelican and the porcupine will lodge in its capitals. Their calls will echo through the windows. Desolation will be in the thresholds, for he has laid bare the cedar beams.
15 Nke a bụ obodo ukwu ahụ, nke na-aṅụrị ọṅụ oriri, nke na-ebikwa na-enweghị ihe egwu ọbụla; nke na-asị onwe ya, “Ọ bụ mụ onwe m! Ọ dịghị onye ọzọ ma ewezuga m.” Ma ugbu a, lee otu o si bụrụ ebe tọgbọrọ nʼefu; lee ka o si bụrụ ebe ụmụ anụ ọhịa bi. Onye ọbụla si nʼakụkụ ya na-agafe aghaghị ịma ọsụ, ma fufekwaa isi ya.
This is the joyous city that lived carelessly, that said in her heart, “I am, and there is no one besides me.” How she has become a desolation, a place for animals to lie down in! Everyone who passes by her will hiss and shake their fists.
