< Taịtọs 3 >
1 Chetara ndị nke gị ka ha doo onwe ha nʼokpuru ndịisi na ndị ọchịchị, ka ha rubere ha isi, dịkwa njikere ịrụ ọrụ ọma ọbụla.
Make clear to them that they are to put themselves under rulers and authorities, to do what they are ordered, to be ready for every good work,
2 Gwa ha ka ha ghara ikwulu onye ọbụla, ka ha gharakwa ịlụ ọgụ, kama, ka ha bụrụ enyi mmadụ niile, na-egosikwa ịdị nwayọọ ha nʼebe mmadụ niile nọ.
To say no evil of any man, not to be fighters, to give way to others, to be gentle in behaviour to all men.
3 Nʼihi na mbụ, anyị onwe anyị bụ ndị nzuzu, ndị na-enupu isi, na ndị na-enweghị uche. Anyị bụ ohu agụụ ihe ọjọọ, na ihe ụtọ dị iche iche. Anyị biri ndụ obi ọjọọ na ekworo, na ịkpọrịta onwe anyị asị.
For in the past we were foolish, hard in heart, turned from the true way, servants of evil desires and pleasures, living in bad feeling and envy, hated and hating one another.
4 Ma mgbe obiọma na ịhụnanya Chineke Onye nzọpụta anyị pụtara ihe,
But when the mercy of God our Saviour, and his love to man was seen,
5 ọ zọpụtara anyị, ma ọ bụghị nʼihi ezi ihe ndị anyị mere, kama ọ bụ site nʼebere ya. Ọ zọpụtara anyị site na nsacha nke ịmụ ọzọ na nnwogharị nke Mmụọ Nsọ,
Not by works of righteousness which we did ourselves, but in the measure of his mercy, he gave us salvation, through the washing of the new birth and the giving of new life in the Holy Spirit,
6 onye ọ wụsara anyị nʼuju site nʼOnye nzọpụta anyị bụ Jisọs Kraịst,
Which he gave us freely through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
7 ka ọ bụrụ na ebe e sitere nʼamara gụọ anyị dịka ndị ezi omume, anyị ga-abụ ndị nketa, ndị nwere olileanya ndụ ebighị ebi. (aiōnios )
So that, having been given righteousness through grace, we might have a part in the heritage, the hope of eternal life. (aiōnios )
8 Okwu a kwesiri ntụkwasị obi, ọ ga-amasị m ma i kwusie ihe ndị a ike, ka ndị kweere na Chineke, lezie anya nʼịrụ ezi ọrụ. Ihe ndị a dị mma na-abakwara mmadụ uru.
This is a true saying; and it is my desire that you may give certain witness about these things, so that those who have had faith in God may give attention to good works. These things are good and of profit to men;
9 Ma zere ịrụ ụka nzuzu na ịgụ agbụrụ ọmụmụ, esemokwu niile, na ọgụ niile ndị mmadụ na-alụ banyere iwu. Ihe ndị a niile abaghị uru ọbụla, ha bụ ihe efu.
But have nothing to do with foolish questionings, and lists of generations, and fights and arguments about the law; for they are of no profit and foolish.
10 Gbasara onye na-akpa oke, ị dụchaa ya ọdụ ihe dịka otu ugboro maọbụ abụọ, leghara ya anya.
A man whose opinions are not those of the church, after a first and second protest, is to be kept out of your society;
11 Ebe ị ma na onye dị otu a bụ onye ndahie na onye ajọọ omume, o jirila aka ya maa onwe ya ikpe.
Clearly he is in error and a sinner, being self-judged.
12 Ana m akwado izitere gị Atemas maọbụ Taịkikọs. Gbalịa bịakwute m na Nikopolis, maka nʼebe ahụ ka m kpebiri ịnọ nʼoge oyi.
When I send Artemas or Tychicus to you, do your best to come to me at Nicopolis: for it is my purpose to be there for the winter.
13 Gbaa mbọ zipụ Zenas bụ onye ọkaikpe, na Apọlọs, ngwangwa nʼije ha. Hụkwa na ha ji ihe niile dị ha mkpa.
Send Zenas, the man of law, and Apollos on their journey with all care, so that they may be in need of nothing.
14 Nʼihi na ọ dị mkpa ka ndị anyị mụta inyere ndị niile chọrọ enyemaka ha aka. Ọ bụ nke a ga-eme ka ha bụrụ ndị na-amị mkpụrụ.
And let our people go on with good works for necessary purposes, so that they may not be without fruit.
15 Ndị niile mụ na ha nọ nʼebe a na-ekele gị. Kelekwara anyị ndị niile hụrụ anyị nʼanya nʼime okwukwe. Ka amara dịnyere unu niile.
All who are with me send you their love. Give our love to our friends in the faith. Grace be with you all.
