< Abụ nke Abụ 3 >
1 Achọrọ m onye m hụrụ nʼanya nʼelu ihe ndina m nʼabalị, ma ahụghị m ya. Ebiliri m chọọ ya ma ahụghị m ya.
[SHE] Upon my couch, in the night-time, sought I the beloved of my soul, —I sought him, but found him not.
2 Ugbu a, aga m ebili pụọ jegharịa nʼama niile na nʼokporoụzọ niile nke obodo ịchọ ya, m ga-achọgharị onye m hụrụ nʼanya. Ya mere, achọrọ m ya ma ahụghị m ya.
Come! I must arise, and go about in the city, In the paths and in the broadways, I must seek the beloved of my soul, —I sought him, but found him not.
3 Ndị nche na-eche obodo hụrụ m, mgbe ha na-agagharị nʼobodo, ma ajụrụ m ha sị, “Biko, unu hụrụ onye ahụ m hụrụ nʼanya?”
The watchmen that go round in the city, found me, The beloved of my soul, have ye seen?
4 Ọ dịghị anya mgbe m gafere ha, achọtara m onye m hụrụ nʼanya, ejidesiri m ya ike, ahapụghị m ya aka tutu m duta ya nʼụlọ nne m, nʼime ụlọ nwanyị tụrụ ime m.
Scarcely had I passed from them, when I found the beloved of my soul, —I caught him, and would not let him go, until that I had brought him into the house of my mother, and into the chamber of her that conceived me.
5 Unu ụmụ agbọghọ Jerusalem, eji m nne mgbada niile na nne ele ọhịa gbaa unu iyi sị, unu akpọtela, maọbụ mee ka ịhụnanya teta ruo mgbe o masịrị ya.
[HE] I adjure you ye, daughters of Jerusalem, by the gazelles, or by the hinds of the field, —That ye wake not, nor arouse, the dear love until she please.
6 Onye bụ nke a na-esi nʼọzara na-abịa dịka anwụrụ ọkụ, nke tere mmanụ máá na ụda na-esi isi ụtọ, ụda nke ndị ahịa na-ere?
[THEY] Who is this, coming up out of the wilderness, like pillars of smoke, —with perfume of myrrh, and frankincense, besides all the aromatic powder of the merchant?
7 Lee ọ bụ ụgbọ Solomọn. Iri mmadụ isii ndị ọka agha, ndị a maara aha ha karịsịa nʼala Izrel sokwa ya.
Lo! his couch,’tis Solomon’s own, Threescore heroes, around it, —of the heroes of Israel:
8 Ha niile ji mma agha; ha bụ ndị a zụrụ nke ọma ibu agha. Mma agha onye ọbụla dịkwa nʼukwu ya, ịdị njikere maka ihe egwu abalị.
All of them, grasping the sword, trained for war, —every man, with his sword upon his thigh, because of dread, in the night-time.
9 Eze Solomọn rụrụ onwe ya ụgbọ a nke o ji osisi sitere Lebanọn rụọ.
A palanquin, King Solomon made himself, of the trees of Lebanon:
10 Ogidi ya ka o ji ọlaọcha mee; ala ya bụkwa ọlaedo. Ebe ịnọdụ ọdụ ya ka e ji akwa odo odo kpaa, e ji ịhụnanya dozie ebe ime ya. Ndị inyom Jerusalem,
The supports thereof, made he of silver, the couch thereof, of gold, the seat thereof, of purple, —the midst thereof, hath an inlay of love from the daughters of Jerusalem.
11 pụtanụ, bịa hụrụ, unu ụmụ agbọghọ Zayọn, bịanụ ka unu hụ Solomọn bụ eze; lee ụdị okpueze nne ya kpunyere ya nʼisi, nʼụbọchị agbamakwụkwọ ya, nʼụbọchị obi ụtọ na ịṅụrị ọṅụ ya.
Go forth and gaze, ye daughters of Zion, upon King Solomon, —wearing the crown, wherewith his mother, crowned him, in the day of his marriage, and in the day of his heart gladness.
