< Ndị Rom 5 >
1 Ya mere, ebe e sitere nʼokwukwe mee ka anyị bụrụ ndị a gụrụ dịka ndị ezi omume, udo dị ugbu a nʼetiti anyị na Chineke site nʼOnyenwe anyị Jisọs Kraịst.
Since we stand justified as the result of faith, let us continue to enjoy the peace we have with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Onye anyị sitere nʼaka ya nata amara nke anyị na-eguzo nʼime ya ugbu a. Anyị nọ nʼọṅụ nweekwa olileanya na a ga-eme ka anyị keta oke nʼebube Chineke.
Through him also we have had our access into this grace in which we have taken our stand, and are exulting in hope of the glory of God.
3 Ọ bụkwaghị naanị nke a, ma anyị na-aṅụrịkwa ọṅụ nʼime nsogbu anyị niile, ebe anyị maara na nsogbu ndị a na-enyere anyị aka ịbụ ndị nwere ntachiobi.
And not only so, but we are actually exulting also even in our troubles; for we know that trouble works fortitude,
4 Ntachiobi na-arụpụta nʼime anyị ezi agwa; ezi agwa na-arụpụtakwa olileanya.
and fortitude character, and character, hope -
5 Olileanya na-eme ka anyị guzo chịm, nʼihi na Chineke awụnyela ịhụnanya ya nʼime obi anyị site nʼonyinye Mmụọ Nsọ.
a hope which never disappoints us. For through the Holy Spirit who has given to us, the "brimming river of the love of God" has overflowed in our hearts.
6 Mgbe ahụ anyị na-enweghị ike ọbụla, mgbe oge ahụ ruru nnọọ, Kraịst bịara nwụọ ọnwụ nʼihi anyị bụ ndị mmehie.
For while we were still without strength, Christ died in due time for the ungodly.
7 A sịkwarị na anyị bụ ndị ezi omume ọ gaara abụ ihe siri ike mmadụ ịbịa nwụọ ọnwụ nʼihi anyị. Ma eleghị anya, a ga-ahụkwa onye nwere ike nwụọ nʼihi ezi mmadụ.
Why, a man will hardly give his life for another, even for a righteous man, though perchance for a good man one might even take it upon himself to die.
8 Ma lee ka ịhụnanya Chineke siri pụta ìhè! Mgbe anyị ka nọrịị na-eme mmehie, Kraịst nwụrụ nʼihi anyị.
But God gives proof of his love to us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Ebe a gụrụ anyị dịka ndị ezi omume site nʼọbara ya, nke karịrị nke a, a ga-esitekwa na ya zọpụta anyị site nʼọnụma Chineke.
By how much more, then, being now justified in his blood, shall we be saved through him from the wrath of God.
10 Nʼihi na, ọ bụrụ na mgbe anyị bụ ndị iro Chineke, e mere ka anyị na ya dị nʼudo site nʼọnwụ Ọkpara ya, nke karịrị nke a bụ, ebe ọ bụ na anyị na ya dịzi na mma, anyị ga-enweta nzọpụta site na ndụ ya.
For if, when we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved in his life.
11 Ọ bụkwaghị naanị nke a, kama anyị na-aṅụrịkwa ọṅụ nʼime Chineke site na Onyenwe anyị Jisọs Kraịst, onye anyị sitere na ya nata ịdị na mma a ugbu a.
And not only that, but we exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now obtained our reconciliation.
12 Dịka o siri dị, ọ bụ site nʼaka otu nwoke ka mmehie siri bata nʼụwa. Ọ bụkwa mmehie a wetara ọnwụ. Ugbu a, ọnwụ erutela onye ọbụla aka nʼihi na mmadụ niile emehiela.
Thus, then, sin came into the world through one man, and through sin came death and so death spread to all men, because all had sinned.
13 Ma tupu e nye iwu, mmehie dị nʼụwa. Ma a dịghị agụkọta mmehie mgbe iwu na-adịghị.
For prior to the Law, sin actually existed in the world, but sin was not set down to man’s account when there was no law.
14 Ma e mere ka ọnwụ rute onye ọbụla site nʼoge Adam ruo nʼoge Mosis. O metụtara ọ bụladị ndị mmehie ha na-adịghị ka nke Adam, onye bụ ihe atụ nke onye ahụ gaje ịbịa.
Nevertheless, from Adam to Moses death reigned as king, even over those who had not sinned after the likeness of Adam’s transgression. Now Adam is a type of Him who was to come.
15 Ma onyinye a adịghị ka njehie ya. Nʼihi na ọ bụrụ na ọtụtụ nwụrụ site na mmehie nke otu mmadụ, lee ka o siri bụrụ ihe dị ukwu karịa na amara Chineke na onyinye amara sitere nʼotu onye bụ Jisọs Kraịst ga-ababiga ụba oke rute ọtụtụ mmadụ.
But the free gift is not like the transgression; for if through the transgression of that one man the rest on men died, much more did the grace of God and the gift given in his grace in the one Man, Jesus Christ, overflow unto the rest of men.
16 Ọzọ, onyinye a adịghị ka ihe mmehie mmadụ mụpụtara. Nʼihi na ikpe ahụ sooro mmehie otu onye weta ọmụma ikpe, ma onyinye ahụ sooro ọtụtụ njehie weta ịgụ mmadụ nʼonye ikpe na-amaghị.
And it is not with the free gift as it was through the one that sinned; for the judgment came from one transgression unto condemnation; but the free gift came from many transgressions unto acquittal.
For if through the transgression of the one, death reigned as king through the one, much more shall those who receive the overflowing grace and gift of righteousness reign as kings in life through One, through Jesus Christ.
18 Ya mere, dịka otu njehie si weta ikpe ọmụma nye mmadụ niile, otu ahụ kwa ka e si gụọ mmadụ niile dịka ndị ezi omume na ndị nwere ndụ site nʼotu ọrụ ezi omume.
It follows then, as through the transgression of one man came condemnation unto all men, even so through the act of righteousness of One came acquittal and life to all men.
19 Nʼihi na dịka ọtụtụ mmadụ si bụrụ ndị mmehie nʼihi nnupu isi nke otu nwoke, otu a kwa ka ọtụtụ mmadụ ga-abụkwa ndị ezi omume nʼihi nrube isi nke otu nwoke.
For just as through the disobedience of one man the rest were made sinners; even so by the obedience of One shall all the rest be made righteous.
20 Iwu bịara mee ka mmehie na-aba ụba, ma dịka mmehie na-aba ụba, amara na-abakwa ụba karịa.
Now law was brought in so that transgression might abound; but where sin abounded, grace super-abounded;
21 Ya mere, dịka mmehie si bụrụ eze nʼọnwụ, otu a kwa ka amara ga-esi bụrụ eze site nʼezi omume iweta ndụ ebighị ebi site nʼaka Jisọs Kraịst, Onyenwe anyị. (aiōnios )
in order that as sin has ruled as king in death, so also grace might rule as king in righteousness which issues in eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord, - ours! (aiōnios )
